We will be protecting them via TimLee's The Destiny Pact, which is an ODP, but we will be defending them from all simple raiders, so don't raid them. In essence, both parties hope that this will enable political independence for both of us while making it clear that this alliance affiliation is not to be raided. It will be an interesting experiment for all involved to see how well it works.
