LoSS is a great alliance, and I may be a little biased, but IAA is too. It is great not only to be back playing CN in IAA, it is great to see that we still have friends that remember us and want to pick up the friendship where we left off. The “Why does Chimaera have Founders?” Treaty Preamble Years ago, the Imperial Assault Alliance and the League of Small Superpowers were blood brothers. Now, we find our relations renewed and repaired and this treaty shall serve as the first, but surely not the last, symbol of such a rebirth. I. Sovereignty The Imperial Assault Alliance and the League of Small Superpowers hereby declare their respect for each alliance’s sovereignty and members. This treaty, whilst dealing with the unhappy matter of war, also deals with the fact that IAA and LoSS mutually respect one another. II. Defense A. Military Help Should either signatory of this pact be attacked by another sovereign alliance, the other signatory is officially mandated to offer full and immediate military assistance. IAA and LoSS hereby pledge to attempt to mediate any potential conflict with diplomacy before initiation of hostilities, as war is abhorrent and should be prevented if at all possible. B. Financial Aid In the event that the attacked alliance requests the other signatory not to enter their conflict, the only appropriate method for fulfilling this treaty's obligations is for the uninvolved alliance to offer as much financial and technological aid as possible to the attacked alliance as soon as the conflict is over. Of course, each signatory withholds the option to enter the conflict militarily regardless of the defender's request, as would befit an honorable alliance. C. Intelligence IAA and LoSS both condemn the usage of espionage in our CyberVerse. However, should one signatory find evidence of a threat to the other, they are obligated through this pact to present it to the respective alliance. III. Aggression A. Military Should either signatory engage in a war of aggression, the other signatory is strongly advised to aid the other. Such aid is not made mandatory by this pact. It should not be a surprise to the denizens of Planet Bob should IAA decide to assist LoSS, or vice versa. B. Aid. In the event that a signatory does not wish to enter a full-scale war, they may still send foreign aid to the other, whether it be money, technology, or soldiers. IV. Peace Members of IAA cannot attack members of LoSS and vice-versa. Any rogue attack by either side will be dealt with diplomatically. Proper payment for damages will be made to the guilty party in a timely manner. V. Friendship This clause is to signify the friendship between IAA and LoSS. Members of each alliance are strongly advised to spend time with their counterparts, whether on private forums or on IRC. VI. Cancellation Both parties may cancel this treaty at any time, as long as there is a 48 hour advanced warning and a sufficient reason. Should cancellation be genuinely mutual, it may be conducted immediately without the 48 hour waiting period.
