The images of their dead bodies were broadcasted throughout the world. Where did you rp this evacuation? Especially considering ICly the war can't have gone on much longer than a day or two anyway. How are people tracking satellites, identifying them as a specific nations satellite and then engaging them? Only people who realistically should be able to do this is Russia, American Commonwealth, Athens and Tianxia, and thats simply because of their sheer size and tracking abilities because of that reason alone. I cant find the post or an IRC log, but I specifically remember Triyun or Cent arguing that its a lot harder than people seem to think it is to track, identify and shoot down a satellite. Thoughts? Triyun Posted February 4, 2014 Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) Its harder if you are constantly changing their orbiting path but you also run out of propellant much sooner, especially if you do it when I do over my very very large territorial areas nobody else can see. Anything involving men on the ground necessitates previous RP.  We've been good at upholding this rule, and you guys have been good about following it, just reminding everyone. 2. Yes, you do need to RP out a failed roll, if again, it contains men on the ground.  If you RP good enough, then you can escape with your identity withheld, and if the other person RPs well enough, they can find out it was you that did the stuff. Maybe Eva was onto something with that whole 'all-female military' idea... Â I haven't engaged any satellites that I recall, I engaged some high altitude spy planes, and was just generally laser-dazzling any that were passing over my facilities... didn't matter whose they were... not destroying them... Â You can't field things that aren't combat ready like the F-35, electromagnetic catapults, and UCLASS when you're 1996 tech. Â Also the standard missile you have is way too advanced too. That's really not particularly close to BaronUberstein's worst self inflicted atrocity. You're not close to his level Justinian. Not sharing a playing field even!
