  1. Golden Sabres is a name I haven't heard a long time. Welcome back.
  2. Margrave only posts because nobody enjoys reading them more than himself. That he puts as much effort into cramming as many words with multiple syllables in his posts as he can as opposed to their content is a good indicator that you're wasting your time when you engage him in conversation. Only Grub and Vladimir have him beat at saying nothing meaningful at all while using an exorbitant number of words to do so. Though at least when they're condescending to others, it doesn't appear that they are compensating for a lack of power or influence through sheer viciousness.
  3. That's a very good question. Hopefully there won't be a global war started over that very pretense.
  4. I can't imagine ever making that post. Even ironically. Edit: And it's gone. Lol.
  5. It's a good thing we have ChairmanHal to keep us all on point with his ineffable wisdom. With his expertise in economics perhaps can cut to the essentials of the matter involving DBDC and WTF that the rest of us simply cannot grasp.
  6. Isn't it strange how people tend to have higher defending casualties when they actually trade nukes in a war?
  7. Sorry friend but you need to get peace with us first.
  8. I'm glad that even after all of these years, most of you aren't above acting like children.
  9. I'm sorry that you're still bitter about events that happened over four years ago. Lying about those events doesn't change what actually happened, and frankly a shouting match doesn't interest me in the slightest. As for being a coward, I've been in GOONS for over four years. I recall us losing a very important war during that time, though of course I could be mistaken.
  10. No it isn't. If he weren't lying about what happened out of bitterness maybe it would be a good post. This isn't the place for that discussion however.
  11. You were never very bright and this post is no exception.
  12. Long overdue. Good luck to all of AM's former members.
  13. Coup d'état Announcement: 'Coup Sardonic' jokes remain as unfunny as ever We're here to announce the semi-retirement of our Co-Pilot, KenMorningstar. Due to his otherworldly pursuits, he no longer feels that he can spend enough time on GOONS affairs and so he has retired as Co-Pilot, and joined the GOONS Council, where he can continue to aid and advise us on matters of importance at his leisure. We thank him for the time he has willingly wasted on CN to our benefit, and we wish him well in his endeavors. I had spent the last year in a blissful state of retirement after two years as Secretariat before that, but unfortunately all good things come to an end eventually. Which is why in his place, I have been selected as the next Co-Pilot for GOONS. I look forward to working closely with our allies and friends, as well as Sardonic, Milton and the rest of our government in the months ahead. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to serve GOONS well into the future. As Co-Pilot I am also here to make a pledge to the rest of you. Whether you are an ally, a friend, or someone who dislikes GOONS or myself personally, I pledge that my door will always remain open so that should there be any disputes, we can find a solution through constructive dialogue. Let there be no issue that we can't solve together. Or at least bury next to Ken's corpse to revisit later. -Marx, Co-Pilot
  14. Ah yes you see, before Karma things were so much better! The treaty web becoming what it is was inevitable because everyone is after their own self-interests. Once the Continuum was dismantled, alliances began jockeying for their own positions of power and spheres of interests instead of being forced to align with one overwhelming force that used its power to keep those members obeisant and their friends in line, either through straight intimidation or by running individuals and alliances out of the world entirely. And inevitably, conflicts of interest arose. Relationships changed. The world became far more dynamic after Karma than it ever was before it. So even in spite of the web being so absurdly convoluted now, we're objectively better off than we were before Karma. The only alliance that really has suffered as a result of Karma was the NPO, which was the entire point of the conflict to begin with.
  15. I remember "aid trains" that went along with those times.
  16. Congratulations on retirement Dajobo. You have always been a pleasure to work with.
  17. You're an exceptionally dense fool. Tell me, would NATO side against half their allies if you thought it suited you? No? Would NATO violate the agreement struck between those allies and the enemies of those allies, jeopardizing their peace deal? No again? I expect this kind of simple prattle from you since you have an exceptionally well documented history for it. But it would be refreshing for everyone if you tried to do anything other than slobbering all over yourself like an imbecile when you try to say something witty.
  18. Three weeks just for this? I almost can't imagine what kind of petty reasons were behind dragging this conflict out for that much longer.
  19. It's not like you're much better than Fox Fire. It's just that I haven't seen you call rape a "fun" event.
  20. I'd have ignored Fox Fire by now if I didn't have a masochistic desire to see just how much worse their posting can get. It's all downhill from here.
  21. Thanks for the history lesson. How many headmates do you have?
