The recent announcement by the New Polar Order in which they declared war on TOP is being treated as a huge betrayal. It is not. Polaris made a meaningless, empty declaration to prove a point: That they honor all treaties. But it is merely symbolic. Polaris has launched a grand total of one war against TOP and one war against TOP applicant (And I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't exactly giving it their all). At the same time they are currently involved in hundreds of wars against SuperComplaints nations. Not only that, they and their allies are taking up an enormous amount of resources which would otherwise be aimed, at least partially, at TOP. So Polar is bleeding to death against hundreds of nations which could otherwise be aiding MK, has brought in several of their allies to do the same and has chosen to fight a coalition which includes some of their closest friends such as STA and GR... yet because, in order to prove a symbolic point about the worth of ones written word, they declared on one TOP nation suddenly they're traitors? No. Polar is doing more for TOP than almost anyone else in their coalition. The white peace with \m/ was shocking but they came back in right after they got out of nuclear anarchy and have done nothing but bleed and kill for TOP's sake.
Incorrect, there is no legitimate defense of Grub or Crymson. This war was a black hole of stupid at the very top of the two biggest alliances in the coalition. Grub is and will always be at fault for leaving the open-ended white peace offer on the table.
2.
Where does grub say he wont activate any treaties? I don't see it in the OP.

[22:48] <Crymson[TOP]> Do you acknowledge that you yourself, before our attacks on MK and GR, stated all of the following: your approval of our war plans against those alliances, your intention to not honor those treaties in this instance, and your agreement that our attack was part of the greater war against \m/ and their allies? [22:49] <AlmightyGrub> correct
Is this really a tough concept? He admitted it in the log, he admitted it in a thread several days ago, its not even in doubt.
3.
I wonder if we will need to pay ourselves reps??? lol
I got a better idea, how about 656,436 tech proportionally distributed to every alliance in this war on both sides and then you disband for the betterment of Planet Bob?
I am not saying they are bad people. Polaris was in a terrible position, you should know I am not thickheaded to misperceive reality with biased opinion. However, the "Polaris didn't break their word" spiel is !@#$%^&*. They *did* break their word, but not intentionally. They aren't bad people, nor malicious. Anyone with any rational thought should realize Polar's tough position, but to outright deny their mistake is similar to outright disregarding acknowledgment of their awkward position between word vs. written word, but both are essentially idiotic without considering the ladder. People are tending to only draw one side of the argument without consideration of the other. Hope that clarifies things.
The fact that Grub was stupid enough to leave a blanket white peace offer on the table indefinitely means that he deserves every bit of criticism he gets. Words do not describe how idiotic that was, it was nothing but retarded moralistic crap from a leader with no strategic forethought. He moves since then have continued to show and almost suicidal lack of even caring what happens to his alliance or its allies. It doesn't matter if he broke his word or not, he could not possibly have been a worse ally to all of his allies regardless of side. Anyone who holds a treaty with Polar after this war needs their head examined for brain damage. Note: This does not minimize the stupidity of the mass declaration technique used on CnG. It would have been easy to declare on CnG alliances not allied to STA and Polar and avoid this particular screwup.
4. Good job Grub, you will be lucky to have 3 or 4 treaties by the time you are through burning bridges. And I thought Crymson's record was bad.
5. OMG, I fought AugustusWood in GW2 when we were both like 2k NS.
6.
(also AUT has been running around for days talking about how hard it is to get anyone to enter, so yea, "strategy" card is probably not gonna work out for you guys this time)
AUT is running the war? No AUT is allied to Valhalla? No
7.
I don't know how Valhalla leadership decided on FAN; There is a whole host of AA who declared war on IRON. See Here
Well gee, I guess we could release all our discussions at the next meeting of the foreign target picking oversight committee. Will you be chairing the committee or are you leaving that to Impero? Long time no see old friend, ITC FTW!!!
8. I gotta say it, we fight against some awesome alliances. Kronos and Umbrella were cool as hell last war and I can only assume that FAN will be more of the same. <gun porn></gun porn>
9. Class wasn't really what I was going for there. Please refrain from making such vile accusations against me in the future.
10. I am always happy to bash an alliance that elected Crymson and Skygreenchick to their gov. I'm guessing Crymson was driving, not quite sure what Sky was doing but I have my guesses there too.
11. Do the entire planet a favor and stop electing Crymson to your gov, mmmkay? How many allies does he have to drive away for you guys to notice that its his fault? How many screwed up peace negotiations does he have to lead? I can only imagine how he is working vigorously behind closed doors right now to add another massive screwup to his considerable resume.
12. How do you feel about Archon essentially admitting that he violated the inteligence clause in your treaty with MK in the planning of this? On the flip side if he did inform you of his plans you are most certainly guilty of the backstab you deny. Interesting little pickle you got yourself in there huh? Its not really hard to understand why people think you may have been in a a plan when your ally is bragging about that plan in public.
13. Easily the funniest part of this thread is watching you bounce off the walls on page after page because of that little nugget in one of Grub's posts. Bravo to Grub for giving PC an overdose of Red Bull.
14. I see some incorrect assumptions on both of your sides.
15. You are correct, we could just let them implode themselves but this is waaaay too fun. Considering Bel Air was made up nearly entirely of Skype-harrassing tools who seemed to multiply like parasites I'll just keep mocking. Your concern is duly noted and then used as toilet paper
16. I don't recall NATO being 1. the driving force behind the war. 2. \m/'s mortal enemy at the time he left. The only thing lamer than \m/ is the people who can't let go of \m/. Edit: Yes, in the same post I am bashing someone for being a traitor to an alliance I am bashing, deal with it.
17. Lol, one of your triumvirs ran away to Polar right before the Unjust War. Did you really put a traitor in as tri or was he just a spy? Either way the original \m/ sucked almost as much as Bel Air did.
18. Pretty much this, for some reason I am naturally more abrasive in text which lends itself to my forum persona.
19. As Top 3 Q gov at the time I agree, I expected Echelon to stick it out and I was hoping to see them get rolled. They were the only cancellation that surprised/disappointed me. Even funnier was the MADP upgrade right before the cancelation which proved how clueless they were. I guess Sparta fell in that same upgrade category though , I'm pretty sure they were even more clueless than Echelon.
20. I would contend that they are mostly the result of an intense desire to appear smarter than he actually is but thats another issue. How anyone could like him with this record is the weird part.
21. Sponge - The dirtiest player of all time by default, no one else has ever come close. Jerdge - Every post he has ever made has been psuedo-moralistic drivel. Its not easy to say that much and contribute that little. I can only hope that he sits home laughing at anyone that actually buys into his crap. The only way I can rationalize his playing style is that its a big prank.
22. I dunno it seems pretty noobish to me, I have seen people who did weirder stuff end up in top level gov positions after they learned the game. You would be surprised.
23. Oh God, please let this happen. I will never ask for anything else as long as I live. Can I please be one of the targets?
24. Seeing anyone from Vanguard, especially you defending STA in the situation is laughable. Hypocrite much?
25. LOL, at the guy who thinks that the actual trigger point of a major CN war has anything to do with why the war was fought. Two sides line up, they wait around awhile and then fight for some mountain-out-of-a-molehill reason that is meaningless in the long term. That is how every single major war has been since my nation came into existance in November 2006. UJP -- BOTS WOC -- Hyperion Karma -- OV Please don't tell me that you actually think that any of those alliances were material to those wars being fought? They were only material to the day they were fought but the existence of the war had nothing to do with them. In all 3 cases it was just a matter of time until the fire was lit, whether it was them or the next alliance down the line is meaningless to history. P.S. I forget why GW 2 and 3 started but they were both caused by 2 obvious coalitions lining up and staring each other down.
