i never understood the use of spying to catch spying. on several occassions spying was suggested, when evidence was produced, it was gathered by spying... i guess the alliance in the right is the one that finds out first? doesn't make sense to me...

it took too long to get nukes, for me anyway... and if i'm fightin' im'a gonna usem' also, The GRL cap should be raised, and a higher cap set. if that cap is hit, it'll cause a chain reaction that sends Bob into a nuclear winter. nations are decimated and as others have stated, warped into a primal world where they have to start rebuilding their nations from scratch.

there really are degrees of annoyance/hostility here... low - one member from alliance A sending to a mass list, and a few members from alliance B get the message. medium - one member from alliance A sending to a mass list of nearly all of alliance B. medium-threatening - members (one or plural) from alliance A sending multiple mass messages to multiple nations of alliance B. threatening - members (one or plural) from alliance A sending condescending "you should move cause your alliance is inept" messages to multiple nations of alliance B. As you move through the scenarios, the annoyance level increases, and in my opinion can be considered harassment, an attempt to harm/hurt, and could easily warrant military action. As always, blah blah diplomatic solutions to every blah blah problem blah blah blah. edit: on starting your own alliance... even a group of 20 people could be considered "friends" but that is a huge chunk of NS to leave one alliance (if all leaving said alliance together). that's why you need to make sure that you hash things out with current .gov, and get their blessing... as long as everyone follows resignation protocols, i don't think it's an issue, though that existing alliance may not want to protect you or have a treaty with you.

i was only in Atlantis for 2-3 months before they disbanded, at the time i thought it was the only option and moved on... i'd liked to have seen, and been a part of, Atlantis' fight for survival...

every nation is "open" to raiding, it depends on how attractive you make your nation to the raiders. if you decide to walk the world with big friends (join an alliance) a single raider is not likely to steal your stuff. if you walk into a dark alley, alone, flashing your Rolex and watching your iPad, you are more likely to get pummeled and lose your stuff. is it your fault he attacked? no, the decision to attack was on the aggressor could you have done more to make yourself less of a target? yes, you had several options. you chose not to use any of them. if you don't want to get bitten by a shark, don't dress up as the bait. hell, keep out of the water they live in altogether (unaligned).
