  1. I have a plan. You have your own plan, NPO has its own plan, most other alliances have their own plan. If that plan does not align with my own, then I am wasting my time. You said it yourself, you didn't support me against GOONS because it did not fall within your plan.

They are too scared to do what they want, therefore they stay on the safe side of "playing the game" and joining an alliance. I'm different.

The difference in my case I never waged a war I could not handle. I did not declare revolution against GOONS and then try to get peace on the mercy board a short time later, after declaring victory against GOONS no less.

  2. Loki, I spent alot of time over these months trying to help you, and I encouraged you in going to join NPO. But you didnt follow through because you didnt like answering questions, and decided to go rogue against GOONS. No amount of reasoning could deter you from your path.

You have a hard time with patience, and this was reflected in HB, in the Party, and on the NPO forum. And now on the Mercy Board. You have certain skills, but your lack of patience is your undoing.

Theres nothing more I can do to help you at this point. I wasnt going to join you on a futile side quest that would not bear fruit in my larger plans. The fact is, you deserve the consequences of your choices. You have placed yourself at odd with my revolution.

My inbox is packed these days, and I have a limited schedule to prioritize my CN time with. No offense was meant by ignoring you, but at times I accidentally ignore others too, and I literally have better things to do with my time than assist you on your GOONS quest.

Best of luck Loki. Youve burned too many bridges and lack the patience to be a valuable asset anymore. Perhaps one day when your patience is tempered, but for now, good luck on the mercy board.

  3. Our modern society doesn't mind being cruel to prisoners as long as it's clean and sterilized. We don't like messy executions like firing squad or the guillotine, but we don't mind killing people as long as it's all clean and tidy like lethal injection or the gas chamber. Whipping someone with a barbed cat of nine tails or some !@#$ would be messy (literally, blood everywhere), whereas locking a man in a cage for 10 years of his life is neat and tidy.

It's not about what would be best for society or the convicted, it's about what middle class America wants in terms of their image of themselves.

    Huge THIS.

  4. I think the main problem for Cuba is approaching CN with too much of an RTS mentality or an approach more suited to faster paced online MMOs where war is more tactical than political. This is reflected in his entire style of play, and assuming alliances and nations are simply video game pieces to send orders to.

CN is not like most games and politics is more important than raw number crunching skills. The fact that so many are willing to abandon the traditional, fairly egalitarian approach to politics and assume that numbers alone win wars is extremely short-sighted and desperate in the case of some.

  5. "they spoke of me in hushed whispers amongst themselves"

Too many writers fall into that sort of thinking in fantasy work. If those type of people are worried enough to whisper they would have slit your characters throat in her sleep.

More like they would be like "wow thats some good !@#$ kid!" in whatever dialect you present.

    But not bad
