1. TOP had around 225 nations. After the beginning they gained another 20, which can be seen if you move about a week after the war actually started. So they have dropped about 30 nations.
2. NPO will not really shake things up once they get out. Sure they are decently ranked, but their avg ns is very low and anyone who would have touched them with a 40 foot pole got pounded in the war.
3.
a perfect example of people forgetting that the "picture" was \m/-Polar, not TOP-CnG. but this isnt the place to discuss that since there's an 80+ page thread in the subforum.
I wasn't talking about whether it is one war or two, and to be honest I could not care less over the semantics of such a thing. TOP/IRON/whoever wanted CnG removed as a power, tried to BS their way into it, and now that it did not go well the try to make themselves be the victims. Before ANYONE accuses CnG and company of being the bad guys, WE were the ones who were blindsided. Attacking without a CB is about as "hegemonic" as it gets. IRON got a pretty sweet deal from the Karma peace and decided to throw that away, (thanks to TOP actually) so they obviously have not learned the error of their ways.
4. Lol, this is hilarious. TOP and company broke the established rules of warfare for Bob (didn't even try a CB FFS), get stomped, and now that things did not go well they cry foul. What did you expect, cookies? TOP attempted to take CnG out of the picture, and now it backfired. CnG does not want to obliterate TOP, but we do want the enormous tech advantage that they hold over the rest of CN to at least be reduced.
5. Yeah tech needs to be easier to destroy. After a month and a half of war, about half of that being ZI'd and STILL having a crapload of tech is not what I would call balanced :x
6. IRON is getting blown to hell here too, so it is kind of a double sacrifice.
7.
actually there is. when MK and co got crippling terms, it was "draconian", now in two wars MK and co have given crippling terms (one accepted, the other rejected) and now ya'll saying it is not "draconian" but perfectly reasonable. so no, i am not providing any new meaning to draconian, i am relating the fact that ya'll keep changing the meaning to ensure your side can state that you have never given "draconian" terms.
MK didn't really get much in the way of reps from karma, so please refrain from "MK and Co." Other then that cheers.
8. There are a decent number of TOP nations who rebuy each day, but for each one of them there is another who is now effectively a punching bag. Over time more and more will run out of money, long before CnG/SF will because of the number advantage.
9. As for 110k nations left, the only guy above that line recently joined TOP. So no TOP nations 110k+ are left from the start of the war.
10.
It may be the wrong scene (as someone else mentioned), but I do like this one. The button especially was a nice touch.
Well the button means TOP just got thrown out of a 60 story window
11.
I never said we weren't. It's just amusing to see the change in attitude in ODN once you gained a new master.
New master? ODN is the largest alliance in CnG. If anything we are the puppets and they are the master
12.
Lol. Right to exist? So you're saying you'll remove TOP/IRON from the picture as a fight to exist? Lol.
That is pretty much how most wars go.
13.
You mean the skill to sit at a computer and press buttons? We like to call that something else in Believland...
Do tell.
I'd say it does have skill to make a nation that can output that damage.
14. Never cared for NS? They why all the back room deals about no nukes over the past wars?
15. About sums it up for most others as well as myself.
16.
Nah, I just think that your citizens will catch 550 spies all being sent at the same time. I mean, seriously, how does that work?
Well when you fail 20 die, so the way I figured it all 550/800/whatever go, and then those who draw the short end of the stick get shafted when it all goes south
17. Technically yes, there are two separate wars. One was resolved, the other is just getting started. In actuality however, there is really only one. I think this could only be considered a separate war if TOP/IRON would have done it without the Polar/\m/ stuff going on. Since we all know that TOP/IRON would never have tried it out of the blue, this one goes down in the books as one war.
18. Londo is trying to set the high score here, humor him please.
19. Some TOP nations do have reincarnation size warchests, but not all of them. One of the guys I am on has a 450 mil warchest, but amazingly has not paid bills since December. (I had no idea you could even do that >.>) Other has 150 mil/9.5k infra. Not meant to be taken as a bait post btw. I am highly impressed with some TOP warchests, but I simply wish to say that the entire alliance is not that way. ~GM
20. Just to help the conversation: Ombudsmen in MK is pretty much a person elected by the people to act as a mediator between themselves and the government. The Ombudsmen has a little more access than the normal member, but has no power. His job is merely to aid in the "transparency" part of government. I might have stated it in a way that is slightly off, but that is the basic gist of it.
