That's nice of you. While I'm not in any position to tell you what to do, perhaps you would care to hear a suggestion? Set up amiable diplomatic relations with the NSO and ask nicely for the evidence for our CB? We're not unreasonable you know and it might just save you some money to get the full story first before you jump to conclusions and start name-calling. It's your alliance though and if you feel you've thought this through enough in the 73 minutes since Reachwind's post was made, who am I to judge?

Oy, this thread just makes me grimace. It's way past time that the OP requested the thread be closed.

Feel free to look at the New Sith Order. We have a solid leadership, but you can challenge them publically for thier position if you feel you can do a better job. We're currently 50k away from being 3 million NS and are growing consistently. We allow limited tech raiding if that's your thing. While we might not have any perceivable wars on the horizon, it's never out of the question when Ivan Moldavi is leading the alliance. We are diplomatically secure having forged MDP's with the STA and Carpe Diem. This might not seem like much diplomatically, but we are confident in our allies and will not enter into a treaty with someone we believe wouldn't come to assist us in wartime and vice versa. Pretty weak imo. Unless Moo-Cow's comes onto these forums himself, makes a thread and puts time constraints on the "period of fighting" as well as clauses stipulating that it would be a white peace with a non-aggression pact of no-less than 6 months, etc. I wouldn't even bother. I imagine the most of a response this will get from FAN is a barely audible fart from the general area of some low-level FAN member.

What Ivan presented is not really an argument to begin with, but is more of a philosophical belief that is a small part of the New Sith Order's evolving creed. Also, Ivan pretty well addressed you already and making this a new topic is unecessary:

I'm a little suprised by all this talk of tech raiding not being honorable, considering it is a perfectly legitimate way of earning technology and gaining valuable war experience. I think what the real concern here should be that anyone feels they have the right to sanitize tech raiding or reduce its prevalence on digiterra in a time where the vast majority of players end up sitting on their hands and going from one day to the next doing nothing but paying bills and collecting taxes. As far as I'm concerned, this absurd notion that tech raiding is dishonorable has gone on for far too long and people should start raiding to their hearts delight and enjoy the game as it is, not as how it should be. Even worse though, is seeing people who call themselves tech raiders bowing to the absurd beliefs of their detractors and creating faux codes of honor when they are perfectly entitled to raid.

The function of such a move would be to, at worst, demonstrate the illogical and unjust nature of your opponents and, at best, gain peace for your alliance. At this point you don't really have much to lose, save your reputation for sticking it to the man and possibly some infra should NPO decide to stab you in the back, but from what I've seen FAN isn't terribly affected by the loss of a few imaginary building blocks. Whatever the case, I've got to go so I'd like to end by wishing you good luck in gaining peace.

Fair enough. This does lead to the question, which is whether or not FAN is ready to unequivically renounce a state of warfare against the NPO, including the use of spies, and put such a sentiment in writing. From what has been said publically, I get the impression that NPO wouldn't be adverse to a white peace if you were willing to end the guerilla war; that said, I also realize that people rarely tell the full story in the full light of day. It seems to me that if you were to publically have each member of your alliance independently pledge to end the violence in the alliance politics subsection, the NPO would be put in something of an embarassing situation were they to refuse. Just my 2 cents though.

In 226 posts, I have seen 1 post from a member of FAN and that post had nothing to do with obtaining peace. Now, I realize that peace treaties are negotiated in private, however, I don't see so much as a single sentament from FAN that they want peace with NPO. Instead, this thread has descended into a !@#$fest where NPO and its detractors continue to hurl irrelevant garbage at one another to absolutely no result. FAN's silence is deafening and I'm suprised no one else has commented on it.
