1. Splendid! Two alliances I like are upgrading their treaty. Congrats! o/ 1TF o/ Silence
 2. Sad but necessary, lines are being drawn, etc. Best of luck to 1TF and Auctor! and GR too
 3. Soon, you shall grow to be among the largest alliances on Brown! Keep it up o/ OoL
 4. Good luck to our friends and allies at... what was it? o/ Invicta o/ Regnum Invictorum
 5. On average, how long do you spend staring at, imitating and bobbing your head in sync with Kenadian's avatar? Who is the most hideous and disgusting Sith? Will you be able to survive 1 year of being treatied to Doppelganger? What FA/IA directions and changes do you envision for the future?
 6.
My sentiments, for the most part.
Yet another issue that we float towards agreement in?
Nope. "when you're on the top" Implies I'm only doing it because my sides been winning, which is Lawl.
I'm sure you're having a field day here. Enjoy.
 7. This is great stuff right here. o/ OoL
 8.
Can you please give me back then all the infra that I lost symbolic fighting to help you guys to get peace please? Each time that I see an NSO member post about this war I feel less sorry for not being allied with you anymore.
How about I get back the infra and NS that I lost fighting all for our allies in the war that YOUR leader started. Whether it was defending you against FOK and getting dogpiled by LEO/SF, to helping our old buds in STA against CSN when no one else would (which continued over, unfortunately), to staying and fighting with IRON while counter-declaring to keep our allies in Hydra and CD/ICB without an obligation for further defense. We fought until we were given terms by Fark, which occurred after quite a bit and only after much OWF complaining and rabble. These are our actions during the last war, and we stand by them fully - ALL of them with our allies in mind rather than ourselves thank you. It is just simply very unfortunate to the way your leader handled his decisions that he made in the war - where there were numerous occasions of a breach of trust between us. We would have gone to the end for you, you know that. I just wish that you wouldn't apply those intentions to us that in most of our judgement is completely false. That is all.
 9.
You haven't been reading my posts very carefully, have you? Because I totally covered this.
You covered it alright. You may have overlooked that the GOD war itself was completely symbolic, contributed almost nothing militarily to your allies (as GOD wasn't, you know, actually fighting us), and as we all know, did little to achieve a quicker resolution with Fark.
Well since we're talking about discussions in the private Polar government forum I can't exactly provide screen shots. I did, however, provide you with a legitimate reference point to verify the facts of what I said by refering you to Ivan.
Then I would say not to make arguments with evidence you cannot publicly back up - this would be like [ooc] A US Gov't official citing a classified document as his evidence for his argument, but can't back it up[/ooc]. Given that this argument is pretty irrelevant to begin with, and that since you're not authorized to release your evidence, that this entire point is basically frivolous?
 10.
That doesn't have any relevance on the argument though. The fact is is that they did absorb and dish out damage that would (not could) have been dealt elsewhere.
You have a valid point about very broad strategy, but it's irrelevant to the conversation. I could just as easily say that if Polar had fought Fark instead of Fark/VE/Kronos/WF that Fark could then do less damage on other alliances like IRON, who we are allied to, or Zenith, who Fark attacked and crippled during their assault against gRAMlins. Or Polar could have attacked the Guru Order, that would have just been funny, though that may not have diverted actual NS (but hey, beating up bandwagoners is always good by me). In any event, we were never at war with VE/Kronos/WF, and weren't really fighting GOD, so as far as the NSO goes, we don't really care that Polar's involvement against VE may have diverted attention away from said abstract alliances that VE could have been attacking.
Attacking FARK directly would have only united it's membership against more perceived foreign aggression and prolonged the war. Attacking GOD likely would lead to an annoyed and overextended Xiph who would likely willingly, and angrily, launch into tirades against his allies for not ending the front so the overall coalition could fry bigger fish. Not to mention escalating the front in general ensured that the rest of their coalition needed to pay more attention to us, and less to their other enemies. Which, again, was not good news for them since they had bigger fish to fry. The result was more pressure brought to bear against Fark.
Or, a war against Fark could have given them a legitimate reason to give us terms, which was the reason why we remained in the war well into February. They were holding up terms and even considering reps; GOD was never much an issue towards a peaceful resolution of the war for us.
One of the downsides of an alliance being led by an autocrat who is a Polar Imperator Emeritus, and being allied to Polar, is that a great amount of the autocrat-to-Polar government dialogue happens in Polar's private government boards. What this means is that, within the context of the NSO peace discussions, a lot of Polar gov's frustration was expressed in our forums in our threads where Ivan read and replied and where, unfortunately for you, you don't have access. Your lack of access, however, does not mean that they never happened. It only means, apparently, that you are reduced to making ignorant arguments without bothering to check with Ivan.
Sorry, but the "you and none in your alliance except for your leader knows what happened, so shut up, you're ignorant" argument doesn't work well on the OWF or anywhere really. If there is actually a bit of evidence to suggest that our account of events is inaccurate, I personally would like to see it. I doubt this would pose much of a problem for Ivan.
 11.
60 vs 350 unfortunately is one of the most vague arguments you can make. How many in 350 are not in peace mode are in some sort of fighting shape?...very few..how many of them can do significant damage to Gre? ... :/. Our top tier will be utterly destroyed by Gramlins easily and simply. So they are stuck in peace mode. They are the ones that are going to help and take nations out of bill lock, rebuild and get the reps started flowing. Now they cant do any of that. We are also under economic embargo, any aid from outside will be viewed by enablers as an act of war. To top off the hypocrisy..at the same time, its okay for Gramlins to carry out economic transactions outside of its AA. We are not 'restricted' by terms but we've already gotten the answer from Gre's friends/allies as to what would happen if someone dares aids us in any shape or form. Playing the middle-ranks will create alot more relative destruction for us, we have limited resources and we are under obligation to pay reps, by no means those reps are any light, but we have agreed to it and we intend to finish them in good faith and with deliberation. The central parties in this conflict have resolved the situation..so then on what basis and on what casus belli does Gre continues the conflict? I'd love to hear it. Playing the middle-rank wars just depletes us further and further. Who'd fund the middle-rank wars? Gre top tier can, ours cannot. It will again, only delay how long we remain under the terms, it will only make the terms relatively alot more harsher...given the present situation and the effective support Gre has managed to obtain, Gre can continue this forever, I'd like to see any indication if thats not the case..as of now, its all pointing to as long as they can..and with present support they have, yes they can.
Matt Miller will take down gRamlins, all by himself! GO GO GADGET BUBBLER!
 12. This seems like a match made in heaven. Congrats both.
 13. You do realize that when someone says "Do something about it, attack me", what they really mean is to hide behind their alliance? Sillyness, you should have known he'd not actually have the balls to fight.
 14. Great, now I can start my Noldor Elven-themed alliance Ehm, I mean, good luck everyone with all of your future endeavors!
 15.
Congratz Rome and Terra Cotta. Does anyone else think its ironic that Rome Joins Terrra Cotter after Rebel Virginia, a former NSO member, leaves Rome?
He joined it around 90 or 100 members, to 'help it out' - idk all he did, but he probably helped set some good IA stuff up. Now Rome is what, 150 members? In any event, NSO is fully committed to the Brown sphere, and we'll always appreciate anyone or any alliance that comes to help it out . Watch out Maroon, you're going down! o/ Rome o/ Terra-Cotta
 16.
Look, I have very direct ties to members in RoK, I wish them nothing but the best and I understand their desire to regain their treaty with NpO, hell it don't take a rocket scientist to figure out that between NpO and \m/ NpO is the better bet. That being said as a member of \m/ I have asked myself the following questions and came to the following answers. 1. Do I trust that RoK would defend us against future NpO aggression? No 2. Do I thrust that RoK would have our best interest at heart if conflict should arise between \m/ and any other alliance tied in any obscure way to this treaty? No 3. Do I feel that RoK adequately sought out the feelings of \m/ membership prior to this re-signing? No I really feel in light of this re-signing and what has been said since that RoK and \m/ need to spend some time together re-evaluating our levels of commitment. I know I have lost some of that desire to defend RoK to a state of ZI if necessary, and if my feelings are common within \m/ it does bring into question whether a MDoAP is a proper treaty to hold.
Gosh, by the way this thread has gone, it seems like Starfox may wake up the next day treatied to the Sith! The look on his face... wouldn't that be a Kodak moment? In any event, my position remains the same. I do wish Emperor Penguin the best of luck and hope that he will be able to right the wrongs and mend the wounds of the recent events. It is to my displeasure that this does not seem to be occurring. edit: I see the mod's post now, so I suppose I will end by saying: good luck to Polar and RoK on this treaty. Lines are being drawn, etc.
 17. I think the group that I feel most sorry for is the Filipino Heroes alliance who merged into them a few weeks ago. Boy did they board the Hindenburg and not know..
 18.
The Sith invented April Fools Day.
I believe the more accurate statement would be "The Sith popularized April Fools Day".
 19. I'm not entirely fond of the bickering going back and forth here either. While i'm not exactly the biggest fan of this particular treaty, I suppose it only makes sense to renew a relationship that you lost recently. I sincerely hope you try to renew the others. Good luck.
 20.
GGA accusing others of violating the charter? Oh my.... BTW JB, hows that \m/ treaty coming you've been after for so many months Also, whats this got to do with GGA and NSO who i see all over this thread? far as i can tell this is between IRON and those fighting IRON
Don't forget that CSN has a very high number of posts in this thread too. Just sayin'
 21. Look on the bright side everyone. Now ALL of the alliances remaining in this conflict look tremendously better in comparison to Gre. Heck, at this point, what alliance wouldn't?
 22.
Kind of ironic, we were probably just as worried about it as them. CSN vs STA 1v1 would have been a pretty close fight.
It wasn't so much that they were getting destroyed - to the contrary - STA is excellent in battle. It was that they had basically all of their allies in the war already and no one to draw help on - Silence to their credit was allied to CSN and three other SF allies, whereas the two treaties that STA held with C&G, not to mention all the other treaties MK held to the Polar side, all stayed out at the time. This was actually the reason why NSO declared on CSN, because we were the only ones willing to. (little did we know that it would carry on another three weeks , that's also why I don't personally view separation between the two supposed wars - only fronts. It was the same front for me.)
 23. Good luck on your theme! I always thought making alliance based on a musical band, song or concept would be pretty cool. Like Tiger Army minus the STA knockoff
 24.
had Polaris betrayed MK and GR, you have to realize that many of Polaris's allies are allied to CnG. Ya know STA, NV, IAA, and so on. so, if Polaris did not attack TOP, they could have lost not just 2 allies, but several and all for what? to gain TOP as an ally... sorry, i do not see how TOP counterweights all those other allies of Polaris.
Of course, those aforementioned alliances you named such as Polar, STA, NV, etc. WERE all heavily tied into C&G yet no help came from that direction. I remember an STAer's [ooc]blog post[/ooc] lamenting about it when they became outnumbered primarily by the CSN blitz. It really did suggest to me at the time that these treaties and relationships were mostly a one-way street, and that bloc obligations were always more important than anyone outside of it - perhaps the cancelling on GR by Polar epitomized this sentiment. Too bad the unfolding series of events - TOP/IRON pre-emption followed by the \m/ peace basically negated the strain and repaired most of those cleavages between the 'Blunity' and C&G web.
