I'm Poyplemonkeys. We've never met but the reactions so far in this thread seem to suggest this is going to be quite interesting.

You can't with the monthly restrictions, well you can but it takes twice as long and you have to sacrifice one or the other for at least a month. This feels more like a suggestion box kind of post so I'm just going to end it now.

Clearly your post is not one of the ones I was referencing then. For the first issue of TWiP there were numerous Pacifican posts about how Schattenman had mistakenly identified the title, or position of one of your members. I don't know which, I neither know nor care about the internal structure of your alliance, but it sure as hell didn't change the message contained within. I don't care to go back and find quotes (there must be nigh on 100 pages over the 3 issues now) but it's there for all to see. Although since you bring your post up, after you get past the first paragraph, it's just pure speculation about trusting the rest of the information based on the opening story. I think the hordes of Pacificans arguing the toss about whether he did or didn't take an entrance exam, was or wasn't accepted, and so on, rather than arguing about the far more damning issues relating to the GATO situation, speaks volumes about whether that information is correct and can be trusted. Surely if it isn't you'd be concentrating on that issue instead seeing how the first article can be summed up with 'lol FAN stole your money' and not a lot else. Moving on, I don't quite understand your second paragraph, and I know you're not a native speaker so I'm not trying to get in cheap shots at you, but it seemed you're implying I'm heavily biased. If that is the case it'd be great to know what gives you that impression, if anything. Or perhaps you just wanted to pass my comments off as those from someone who is 'heavily biased' and thus they should be ignored without really providing any substance to your argument.

I was about to say the same thing. Perhaps they've finally realised that their incessent spamming of the least damning section of TWiP isn't distracting anyone from the actual issues. Or maybe it's so well written this time that there is no tiny flaw that changes nothing in the message, but nonetheless can be ruthlessly targetted anyway.

Or, and I'm just throwing a crazy idea out there, bigblue is talking from the perspective of someone who is already in a war seeing how he's already in a war. Or perhaps he's talking about his alliance growing stronger because that is what every alliance in existence aims to do.

Oh yeah, although I don't think productivity was their aim. I mean right now the message is being broadcast pretty loud and pretty clear 'don't screw with Pacifica' because you won't get away with it whatever the size. Given the new information that has come to light though hopefully they can impress me by taking the appropriate actions and looking into it. Also I know Pacifica doesn't care if I'm impressed so anyone who thinks it'd be a good idea to tell me that can bite their tongue. A lot of what he says makes sense. They've been in the game for a while now, and they would not be stupid enough to think that 6000, or however many, 500NS nations could take on Pacifica. I personally believe they would have recruited from their, clearly bountiful, source long ago and built the nations up to something that may actually cause a problem if it was still their plan. Obviously Pacifica have done nothing wrong with the declaration, plotting to destroy them at any stage is pretty damn stupid and something that will have consequences. I do hope that they take these words on board and at least look into them further as it would be a huge shame to see 200 members of the game needlessly crushed. I guess there's still hope for diplomacy to win out here, and the guiding hand of Pacifica could go a long way in helping this alliance realise it's potential, if what Semper Fidelis claims is actually true.

I have to say on the Raga issue I'm perplexed. He made a post on the OWF a while back concerning what he wanted for GATO's future, and I didn't agree and posted to that end with all of my concerns. That evening he specifically seeked me out to communicate with me (OOC: IRC) about any concerns, misunderstandings and questions I had about his post. I found him to be polite, respectful and above all enjoyable to communicate and even disagree with. I'm very much struggling to believe that Raga deserves the expulsion from his position, certainly on the evidence I've see thus far. My condolences go out to someone I believe to be an excellent nation leader who if kept from an official position in GATO, will be a large loss to them. Note: I'm up to page 6, if anything in between there and here changes this opinion I will edit or make a new post. I'd be surprised though.
