  1. There's always next time As far as I can tell, Non Grata still holds the record for dealing out the most damage to my nation in one declaration.
  2. It's been rare for a 10-day old nation to hold their own all on their own as long as I've been playing. But I would still recommend joining an alliance that teaches you how to build a nation that can fight raiders hitting their low-NS ranks and fight the occasional inter-alliance wars.
  3. Moon Hotspot for Dec 2022: Moon Lat Moon Lon Mars Lat Mars Lon Probability 23.99999999 -90 -5 19 75.12311% 23.99999999 -90 -5 18 24.87689% &lat=23.99999999&lon=-90
  4. Try &lat=-65&lon=78 -65 79 99% -65 80 99%
  5. Accounting for skew can't be easy. But, either way, it's fun looking over the list. "Yeah, that one goes after anything that so much as twitches." "... and what did you do, to have that many coming after you?"
  6. Hyperbole, like a nuclear warhead, is its own justification.
  7. At the lower tiers you can also have tech dealers going from 100 tech on average, during peacetime, buying to 500 tech on the first day of a war. I'm not sure there's one way to fairly account for how individual tactics change based on NS, "taking one for the team" on a stagger, alliance vs. alliance imbalances, etc.
  8. Back in 2008, and for some time after, I'd say that that was a hard requirement for anyone staying on the Green trading sphere.
  9. Color me morbidly curious, but which alliances would you consider competent?
  10. Taking out 27% of his NS isn't bad at all. At a glance, 3k to 5k is somewhere around the median, 6k to 10k takes both nations saying "Let's dance!"
  11. If you're not worried about the casualties race, sub 30k. There's always someone willing to play.
  12. At a guess, I'd say that The Big Bad believes that treaty signatories discuss their strategies and prospects privately in back channels, not on the OWF. Entertaining or not, as third parties, our opinions have no bearing on whether obligations were satisfactorily met. Likewise, it is not at all unique to this conflict that alliances find themselves on opposing sides from other members of a bloc they belong to.
  13. Going by the economy-size warchests all sides are sitting on, we might as well call this the Bank Roll.
  14. I think he's referring to losing enough infrastructure to tank population? After all, negative improvement slots can be a roadblock to improvement swapping without decommissioning something. Looking at his nation, there may be problems with whatever economics guide he's following.
  15. It has been a while, hasn't it, since VE and NG last danced. Rumor has it we were promised the good Geritol.

  17. &lat=2.99999999&lon=-136 Effectiveness: 100% Thanks!
  18. Update: Blanking out most of the information text allowed the nation edit to proceed. Since there had been no obscenities or anything of the sort in the previous text, and CloudFront doesn't provide information on what's being blocked for the site, I'd say that this will continue to be a sporadic problem for site users.
  19. Posting here, because the Questions Center rules now state: Report guidelines not used. At present, they read: So, here we are with submission of a government change in nation edit ( http://www.cybernations.net/nation_edit.asp?Nation_ID=228721 ) being intercepted with: My question is how am I expected to resolve this sort of third-party blocking, when there's no information, let alone an explanation, being provided to act on? It doesn't help that all questions regarding a nation are presumed to be "abuse"
  20. I think that you may be confusing "safest place" for "where the fun is". The worst case I've usually faced has been that eventually one's in-range opponents run out of cash.
  21. Any time. From what I've heard, I wasn't the only Viridian who fought a good slate of MI6 folks.
  22. There are some cases in which size does indeed matter. Judging from observations of wartime performance collected over the past couple of years, if your young dragon can already melt steel, then his can surely vaporize said metal. If the two should ever meet, perhaps the contest will prove educational, as both would have accrued more experience and possibly greater power. Be that as it may, by most accounts I've read here The Sandstorm Confederacy proved to be worthy allies to their friends and staunch opponents to those they've fought. As such, they deserve our congratulations on a hard-won peace, regardless of any other differences we may have.
