so he shot off the first nine hundred twenty or so of his 1000 Needles attack through the roof of the shelter.
But where, pray tell, did the other eighty needles go? Was that the needed cupful of needles, or was there a more sinister motive behind our waffliferous protagonist's aim? o7 TOOL for making RIA reps that much better
 2.
Four years? I disagree with this birthday, as according to the leaders who couped GGA, you were disbanded for a few days, thus making this a new GGA.
A couple of days' discussion on the OWF barely counts as a reorganization - take it from the folks who know disbandment Congratulations to the Grand Global Alliance on its fourth birthday - have a glass on us! 3. Good luck Lintwad, it will be interesting to see where you take the Sith next.
 4.
5. Argent's PoWs are released and free to go wherever they want and are under Argent's protection for the next 72 hours
Maybe this is more common than I realize, but this is a gracious gesture on Argent's part. With any luck, VE and Argent will meet under better circumstances ... and "Harvey the Wonder Hamster" will replace the Purple One in children's hearts and minds.
 5.
While I respect BAPS for this, I must of course support my allies in Nueva Vida.
Having seen both in action, it's not difficult at all to respect these hard-fighting, honorable alliances. My money is still on the Vidians.
 6.
Qaianna is a tri? How about that.
For about 4 days now: (announcement). Back to the topic: Congratulations all around on finding a mostly harmless resolution to the conflict!
 7. May the candles on your cake burn like cities in your wake! Happy Birthday!
 8.
We tried to surrender about 3 weeks into the war, when we only had less than 5 nations with the ability to fight, mine among them. There was quite literally no purpose in fighting anymore, and when I approached GGA/Valhalla's leadership to surrender, the only person who would give me the time of day was EphriamGray, the leader of another alliance that was also fighting SOLID (I forgot their name, they were green though)
That alliance was Andromeda. MaGneT's not joking about the state of his alliance by the third round, as he was nearly within my range by the fourth. Edit: Ooops. No NV content in that ancient history there. But as one can see, I'm now in an alliance allied to Nueva Vida, and life really is better - to no one's surprise.
 9.
Well, this seems to be the season to whack NpO about... you sure you want to keep doing that? I'm just asking.
Considering their MADP with VE and GOD, I'm sure that NpO expected OV to come in - regardless of their size or OWF presence - after the NpO DoW on GOD and VE DoW on NpO. I'll agree personally that needing three days to find someone who could get an account on the bulletin board to post the DoW is mildly amusing. Regardless of the timing of the posting, supporting their long-time allies is admirable.
 10.
This thread is all about *us*, Nueva Vida. We are pretty and beautiful and we all look like hot swimsuit models with nukes. Discuss.
I support this announcement!
 11.
GGA was doing so well with their OWF communications up to this point. With the poor treatment you already receive by the mindless drones why would you post this?
It's much easier for everyone involved to have a listing of terms readily available through a publicly-accessible URL. While I see no reason to complain about it, anyone else not interested in the topic or the alliances involved can always page past the announcement.
 12.
I declare this treaty null, where is the Florida clause?
Sanity Clause nicked it to pay for his pixie stix habit.
In the spirit of mutual friendship, protection and converging interests, the 57th Overlanders (57th) and the Random Insanity Alliance (RIA), do hereby agree to this treaty of Mutual Defence and Optional Offense in good faith and fully aware of the obligations it puts on them to the other.
What I want to know is who got whom drunk first, and what can you do in 8.6 seconds that I can't?
 13.
If you read the treaties the differences will become evident. Our treaties are optional aggression and non-chaining. The attack on the Mushroom Kingdom without any treaty chain activated the mandatory defense clause. All other on-going conflicts are relegated to optional assistence per the treaty terms and thus this action takes precedence regardless of our feelings on the matter.
I can appreciate the forethought that must have gone into those treaties. However, no matter how good your relationship with Mushroom Kingdom is, given the past and present STA/Polar relationship I cannot envy you the position you are in.
 14.
we are honour bound to assist regardless of the undesirable circumstances. The STA will always uphold its promises, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us.
I suspect that "uncomfortable" and "undesirable" are understatements in this instance. Good luck STA, wherever these events take you.
 15.
How are you VE?
Personally, I'm wondering if there's a single one of our allies not being shot at, trolled, or both, today. But other than that, it's always a good time for energetic and hardworking alliances to move to Green!
 16. By some measures it may not be the most rational course of action, but I'd have to agree that honor is served.
 17. Congratulations! This is the sort of announcement I'd like to see a lot more of!
 18. For whatever it's worth, I think this is a principled stand on TPF's part. In that light, NEW's Declaration makes much more sense, even though I figured they'd already discussed this with their allies (TPF included) long before posting.
 19. I wouldn't. Instead, I'd expect a leader to know his people well enough to recommend the places they would fit in best, whether those choices benefit him or not. That still amounts to leading by setting a good example - looking out for one's people even when it's not required. Of course, it is also possible that he has issues with VE, Tetris, or even the Green Sphere in general, that his people do not share - in which case it would be appropriate that he part company at this point. In any case, it is rarely enjoyable to be in the midst of a disbandment, so I'll take the opportunity to wish all the members of Epicurean well in their search for a new alliance to call home.
 20. I must disagree with the idea of disappointment in seeing an alliance I respect on the other side of a conflict. There's something to be said for a well-met and honourably-fought exchange. In that light, I would not expect a conflict with Mushroom Kingdom until diplomacy had completely failed, but once the field of battle is entered I'd expect to see them giving as well as they get. I'll agree with AirMe that New Polar Order has shown themselves worthy of respect in many areas over the past year or so.
 21. It must be a weak casus belli when even the Grey Council publicly facepalms.
 22. Because the OP stated the case fairly clearly, without inflammatory saber-rattling and name-calling? That seems to be a sure way to be ignored on OWF. Going back to said OP, - If RoK gov knew about this, there are serious measures, at the very least for the aggrieved parties, to consider. - If RoK government was successfully kept out of the proverbial loop (quite possible, if the actions were the result of a disgruntled former official who never quite went away) then many alliances should be asking themselves how far the spying activities went. All this is part of the many reasons I'm content to not be an alliance govt. official.
 23. It was your responsibility to consider that before acting against whichever moral principle you've abused. Their continuing negative opinion is part of the price you pay as a result of that, and hopefully a heeded reminder not to repeat the offense. Continuing to try to change others' minds afterwards, as if theirs were yours to play with, is a separate potential for offense.
 24. This is definitely a step in the right direction, no matter how long it's taken to make it. Seeing peace made with Vox and FAN isn't unwelcome either.
