1.
Can't wait for this block to be rolled by C&G.
What should really happen, is PB should make a bloc of blocs with SF and C&G so we can really show them who the new Hegemony® is. I can see the headlines now... "The Super Friends save planet bob's Complaints and Grievances from the forces of evil by stashing them in the safety of Pandora's Box" but what would we call such a thing? Pandora's Super Grievances? Super Box Complaints? Grievances, Boxes, and Friends?
 2.
I think the graphics are fantastic.
Why thank you.
 3.
sucking up to whoever was in power and still do today.
Pray tell, who are we sucking up to these days?
 4.
**snip**
Wow, thanks for that. Goes against what people who were involved in that were telling me at the time - but I do not doubt you.
 5.
GGA did end up destroying itself, but that doesn't change the fact you and your ilk were spouting off at the mouth against GOONS and the rest of the Unjust for making your disband, when your silence regarding GGA's role in that even was so silent it was defeaning. Calling for the destruction of some of those who helped roll you in that war is understandable, but coming back directly allied to one of them and remaining very silent on their roll in that same war reaks of hypocricy.
In general, it is inadvisable to talk about situations you don't understand. VE could not come back to green without GGA permission/approval. If you remember, that was back in the day when no one could run for a senate seat on green without GGA approval, have an alliance larger than 10 members on green without GGA approval... see where I'm going here? Also, the idea that VE came back and was then allied with GGA borders on ridiculous... unless it has become common place all of a sudden for alliances to place restrictions on how many of their allies nations can be on a certain sphere. Both parties knew the relationship wasn't legitimate and the deal only happened because NpO was sponsoring VE's comeback in September 2007, and GGA was too firmly rooted in the lap of the Orders to do anything about it. When push came to shove, GGA had their sphere for the time being, and VE had their greatest enemy in the perfect place - in a position where they could do them no harm.
 6.
The two things I expect from VE. Opportunistic Cowardice, and Delusional Moralism.
Awww, you're so cute when you're slinging mud.
 7.
So I guess I was wrong then. Your values aren't incoherent. They're just not strong enough for any but the most extreme actions to conflict with them..
I know tech raiding is the newest thing for everyone to get their panties in a wad over - but I don't see why its become such an issue that we don't care about it at all. We're not pro-raiding or anti-raiding and therefore have no issues with having friends on both sides of that divide. On the same note, I can't seem to find any documentation on most alliances' values regarding tomato-base vs vinegar-base barbecue. I find this to be an extremely important divide and I demand that everyone take a pro-tomato or pro-vinegar stance or else I will assume your alliance is full of <<<pick a few as they suit your taste: evil, immoral, hypocritical, cowardly, untrustworthy, smelly, moralist>>> individuals who actively oppose happiness.
 8. Everyone talks about how raiding some how ruins planet bob or something something. Personally, I would prefer we go back to the days when if you did something someone didn't like your alliance got attacked, rather than have all of this 'moralist' righteous indignation. The world was much more fun back then. I would hate to think that all the efforts of Karma have brought us to a world dominated not by fun or political intrigue, but by faux outrage and moralist vitriol.
 9.
When GOONS and several allies began their Red Safari to attack uninvolved unaligned nations as a tool for some cheap masturbatory thrills, Cult of Justitia contacted as many as we thought able to try to assist them, and mostly to prevent their inevitable deletion. In doing so, we stumbled upon the micro-alliance U.S.S.R. which had been attacked prior to the Safari, fought back, and was in the middle of getting ground into dust for daring to protect their own. However, we offered them help, and we would not retract that offer over something as petty as an oversight on our part. Once we negotiated an end to the war between U.S.S.R. and GOONS, I issued a unilateral protection of the AA. Two of the nations joined CoJ, up to 8 remained on the U.S.S.R. AA. Sadly, protection and aid are quite meaningless to nations whose rulers have already made the decision to abandon their nations--a logical decision in their situation, before we intervened--and within a week or so all but one of the nations had ceased to exist. Miristan was active after the war with GOONS, then he was raided by FOK, and then by GOONS again. Despite an announcement here, despite an entry on the wiki, despite any rules, despite any "do not raid" list at GOONS forum. He was offered reps by GOONS which were withdrawn after 2 days, 3 at most, then resubmitted several days later with the reason "lol." But once again, reps haven't any use for a nation whose ruler has made the logical decision not to come around again. And why should Kazanait have come around anymore? In his experience joining an alliance of 10 nations did not stop techraids or allow him the opportunity to prosper, a well-publicized protectorate didn't stop techraids or give him a chance to prosper. None of the things that we tell nations to do to avoid war and grow worked for Miristan, because to some people these formalities are not roadblocks to attacking aligned, protected nations without cause, rather, they are reasons to do it anyway with the knowledge it'll just cost a top-tier nation in their alliance some chumpchange. Because of this, today we are less 7 or 8 nations; it is a loss we all bear as our world slowly shrivels up. The alliance U.S.S.R. no longer exists; therefore, Cult of Justitia rescinds protection of that alliance affiliation. Farewell, Miristan. Schattenmann Presbyter, Cult of Justitia

When GOONS and several allies began ... U.S.S.R. and GOONS ... list at GOONS forum. He was offered reps by GOONS

GOONS GOONS GOONS GOONS
You must spend a fortune on cleaning services. God knows the combination of your bleeding heart and crazed obsession with GOONS must result in some truly epic stains. Hopefully you don't have wall to wall carpeting.
 10.
You know when someone who actively hates your alliance can revel in a protectorate that actively worked against its protector for a huge chunk of its existence...yeah...
Hey, OR (Ordo Recolitus] was with TORN 120%... remember the WotC blitz? Epic. It was when both me and Chief went inactive along with a bunch of other people in the alliance that things drifted, then OR merged with JCon to form Ordo Verde... that was when the rift occurred. I know the whole thing with OV+Karma (and probably before that) was awful for TORN on many levels, but I'd hate for you to distort your view of Ordo Recolitus based upon that :/ Hell, even now, with TORN being towards the opposite side of the web (which is apparently the basis for how opinions are to formed here in case you weren't aware ) I'd still list TORN among my top 3 favorite alliances ever. (which, for the record, are VE, OR and TORN in no particular order btw) edit: Woody, just read your previous posts since the one I quoted. As long as you see OR =/= OV I'm happy. You were our MommaWoody, the best kind of woody there is
 11. I too can compare apples and oranges, because they are totally the same because *gasp* [faux-surprise/epiphany]THEY ARE BOTH FRUIT[/faux-surprise/epiphany] I know we're all supposed to fall along our divisions and mindlessly agree with the point based on who the target of the thread is... really? The complaints in this thread not are not only barely logical, but go against years of precedent as to the relationship between alliance standing and accountability. I mean really, holding Random-N00b® from GOONS and Dopp from NSO to the same standard of knowledge/accountability/general-planetbob-savior-faire is absurd. Are they both in the wrong? Yes. Should GOONS pay the previously agreed upon reps? Yes. Is Dopp still an idiot for doing something stupid then being caught in a lie? Yes. Should this thread have ended about 10 pages ago? Yes. Is it absurd that I even have to make this post? Yes. [ooc]Would I continue this rant if my girlfriend wasn't yelling at me to come back to bed? Yes.[/ooc] Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
 12. apples and oranges. On one side you have a random new ruler doing something dumb which he shouldn't have done, but probably did not know he was breaking rules at the time - his government even tried to fix the issue. On the other side, you have a high ranking member who knowingly acted so as to defy GOONS, then lied about it and took action to cover up his transgressions before being found out. Are there similarities? Yes. Are they the same thing? No. Now, in the planet bob tradition of using large, sweeping historical examples, I give you the following: When Franz Ferdinand was murdered a war eventually started - should we now believe that in all cases where a man's life is taken international war is to follow? No, that wouldn't make sense at all. The death of the archduke and say, the death of a store owner during an armed robbery, while both tragic to compare the two would be... apples and oranges.
 13. women, tech raiding, and the dutch are immoral. put this in your sig if you're down.
 14.
I wish VE well in the future and hope they avoid being drawn in to any larger scale hostilities that may result from GOONS' raiding activities.
And behind door number 3, we have... the O in ODP!
 15. oh look, a thread about the validity of tech raiding. I don't think we've ever had one of these before.
 16.
Get over yourself. Like you matter enough to get anyone butthurt I was just trying to defend someone from your unwarrented attack. Take it how you want to, stud.
I see your "you're not relevant" and raise you a no u - in all seriousness, the most interesting thing about this last conflict has been the amount of emotion coming from those on the sidelines. I guess if you can't beat them, or join them, the CN response is to post with vigor.
I got to admit, "lololol you're just butthurt :D:D:D" is usually the most convincing line of argument. I have been vanquished.
I Lol'd (seriously, that was a great comeback). And you're right - generally its an awful line to take... but when it draws in a third party willing to roll in the mud a bit? I'll a bit for that. As usual, especially in an OOC forum, nothing personal.
 17.
I LOL at VE everyday. I think Losif was just pointing out that NSO got smacked down, SURRENDERED, signed away their dignity with a statement of wrong-doing, and still claim it was a "stand-still". Whatever disease Fernando is suffering from must be spreading.
The butthurt, its spreading! Seems to be most contagious in members of alliances that didn't even fight in this war... interesting. Rayvon, I suggest we form a joint committee on the issue before more innocents fall victim to this strange phenomenon.
 18.
Well yeah your abomination of a propaganda piece actually clearly explains why it's so faulty. I mean holy Jesus that could be actually be actual parody instead of seriously made propaganda. You do realize that in contemporary CN warfare between mid and top rank nations, you're always pretty much going to get hurt? And when more nations and NS is being involved, more nations are being damaged and more NS is lost. You don't have to be a military genius in order to launch everything you got at your enemy. You know this, right? Of course you don't. And anyways, why waste a good opportunity to make a "bork bork i'm a internet super laser warrior" post, even if it doesn't make full sense?
I LOL'd. Seriously, doesn't matter what side its coming from, butthurt is always hilarious.
 19. Seriously, VE/GOONS for best ODP of 2010.
 20. That is all. edit:
2.3 Minister of Foreign Affairs -Is the Minister of Foreign Affairs
I hope that was intentionally redundant I hope.
 21.
You forgot one: -If you're in VE, you probably don't have argumentation skills and just talk about the AA of the people not about their post.
Awww, how cute! You used the old "STOP LOOKING AT MY AA AND DEAL WITH MY ARGUMENT" tactic. To make it even more effective, you might want to use it in situations where it actually applies, not just whenever someone happens to name drop your AA in a thread. If you have trouble with that, I run classes every Thursday from 9pm to 11pm Eastern. Send 3m + 50tech to my nation to receive details.
 22. having read through the last 13 pages, I have learned several things, which I will list below: -GOONS is evil -VE is a moralist alliance -VE is compromising its morals by signing with GOONS -"Old GOONS"® and "New GOONS"© are the same, even though they have different members, leaders, policies, etc. -Colored text makes your posts 37% more logical and 53% wittier -If you're in NpO you probably have issues with this treaty -VE are a bunch of tough guys who don't care what you think Thank you for the education.
 23. At first I was like "ew, GOONS", then goldie was all "yo man, join this sweet channel we have to get to know GOONS" and I was like "aight, sounds dope" so I joined it and started talking with GOONS and started taking classes on how to be more oppressive. After a while I realized I was all "damn, these GOONS are actually a bunch of normal, chill peoples". Then people were all "What about a treaty with them" and I was like "word."
 24. wait, so the war ends and all NSO has to give up is a basically meaningless apology and a beer review - and people are still complaining over the terms? Next time you lose a war, we'll send you reps, then will you be happy?
 25.
Yes I do. The thought of everyone scrambling around while nobody is more dominant than the other would make CN extremely interesting. It would reshape the treaty web to where its not jammed as well. Some alliances wouldn't return, and new ones (serious ones) would pop up.
A reset would just make it "whoever has more members wins" from the get go, which would be dumb.
