hizzy, you're looking at warchests in a bit of an odd way. Lord Doom is <3999 infra so his warchest isn't very much bad at all for his level, and while Lamuella has a bigger warchest than nippy I'd actually consider it relatively worse since Lam has that much more infra.

Also with regards to the 2 year old GGA talk: unlike most new alliances that are 2 years old we're almost entirely composed of actually NEW nations. So yes, it does actually take time to get wonders like the WRC and more significant warchests (lam's is atrocious though). Also, we're 1.5 years old not 2 years, which may seem a bit pedantic until you realize how much we've grown over the last six months or so. How many WRCs did most 1.5 year old alliances have in the middle of 2007? Not very much I'd wager.

ya i suppose i wasn't actually looking at specific infra levels but more as a comparison of "people in range"... likely shortsighted on my part but i guess I was expecting people who were all within the same range to have at least close to similar stats. but tbh the only reason i expected you guys to have better warchests is because you're constantly tech raiding... i figured someone who's consistently going to war would probably be ready in case a target didn't give up on day 1 or 2.

nippy has been !@#$%*ing about an SDI for quite a while now if I remember correctly. Even in 2010 the requirements for a WRC are pretty high, considering it requires 8500 infra (which takes a long time to get from 0, even with aid) plus all the other required wonders on top of it, and that's ignoring all economics wonders on the way there. For a nation to get a WRC while maintaining a warchest and a decent economic wonder set will take at least 1 year.

In my defense (yeah, I know, I should have been building a stinkin' warchest during my time spent outside of wars), I've pretty much been involved in every rogue vs. GOONS situation since I fired up this nation (minus FnKa/Ninjas, since I was still rebuilding from UOKMB). I went from September of last year to May of this year without having more than a stinkin' stock market, and got sick of waiting. Anyway, getting beat down by rogues has been my career so far...let's get it over with.

and only 2/6 airstrikes went through... which is odd because it was the first 2 lol. If I was you guys I would consult with Bob Janova on how to properly send an air strike against me

Yes, but you also attacked [i]down[/i] after declaring on Lamuella and then selling off infra to be able to hit me and Lord Doom. Your tech is (was) twice what ours was, so how you failed your AC attacks on me was a mystery. I didn't expect my aircraft to go through, to be honest. It was worth a try.

ya funny thing about that lol.... when i was picking targets 2 nights ago you were all in the same range... but when i was getting ready to hit i figured you guys would all be online cause of the other wars going on and you'd probably respond faster... so i bought all my soldiers and tanks before declaring war, completely forgetting that it would push me up. then i had to rush to sell infra (cause i didn't lose enough military attacking Lam) to go back down to where i was. i actually thought i wouldnt be able to hit you till after midnight cause it was taking so long.

in all seriousness though, AC's are pretty hit/miss. I just ran a couple against Lord Doom cause he forgot to buy some after attacking me... my first one (dog fight) took out 30 of his fighters... but then my bombing run (with 68 escorts) failed. apparently, not only are bombers useless, but they actually bring the whole team down.

Well, the age of the alliance is irrelevant, it's the ANS of the alliance. A 2 year old alliance with a high ANS will have a higher percentage of high-grade mil wonders. You could be a four year old alliance, but if you're still made of largely new nations, you'd still have bad wonder stats. For instance, SOS団 is a little more than a year old, has an ANS of 29,676, and we've got 14 MP's, which is about half the alliance. We also have 4 WRC's, which covers everyone in the alliance with the requirements to buy it. 13 SDI's too.

So yeah, it's not about the age of the alliance, but the size of the nations that comprise it. If we were 4 years old and had the same proportions of wonders we do now, relative to the size of our nations, we'd still be doing good. I've not poured over your stats, but I'm assuming that you similarly have good wonder coverage among those with the requirements to buy it, you just have the issue with constant recruiting, which has its benefits and drawbacks.

This is basically it. We actually have over twice the WRCs as we have nations able to buy them (15/7), so I'd say we're doing alright by that measure. We also have 31 SDIs with only 23 nations that meet our wonder guide's recommendations for it.
