I've always liked NATO's for the nostalgia triggers. I suppose if I were going to run off and make my own alliance, I'd go Latin route like you did, DK. "Per aspera ad astra".

I actually liked everything about it [i]but[/i] the Latin. It's incredibly pretentious and, IMO, using words from a dead language is incredibly pointless.

Well it does have an irl point, in that the meaning of the motto is highly unlikely to change over time if you use a dead language, though I am not sure it matters much in a game like this
