Rise of the Atlantic States

The new flag unfurled behind Ty Eyvindsson as he stood behind a podium located in the city of St. Paul.

"Greetings fellow citizens of both our new nation and the world. Today I announce the formation of the Atlantic States, commonly known by its acronym Atlantis. The nation will be divided into two main regions, the Maritime Crown Region composed of the New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Magdalen Islands, and Saint Pierre and Miquelon provinces and also the Caribbean Republic Region currently consisting of the Florida province. The nation also consists of the two self-autonomous provinces of Lower Greenland and Monaco and also the semi-autonomous dependency of North Carolina.

In terms of Foreign Affairs, we believe in a prosperous and peaceful America and will strive to continue good relations from the Northern Republic and also construct new ones. Seeing as the Northern Republic is currently to be annexed by the Eggman Empire, we wish Atlantis to take the Northern Republic's membership in the CAN. In addition, the Louisiana MDoAP will be transferred to Atlantis unless Louisiana states otherwise. Moreover, the joint-protectorate in Mexico will have Atlantis replace the Northern Republic as protectors.

I am currently only the interim president as our new nation will hold elections in the upcoming months. Fortunately, most of our infrastructure such as the economy and defense is already in place from the former Northern Republic so we are able to flourish even as a relatively new nation.

General Caudill, not long after the same press conference where they declared the existence of the United States made this announcement "We wish to welcome the Atlantic States to the World Stage and give them a general 'Howdy neighbors.' We'd like to begin trade talks and establish embassies immediately."

We would be delighted to to engage in diplomatic relations, especially in regards to Monaco.

We will resubmit our application immediately and would also like to host a meeting between our nations in order to promote relations and possibly sign a treaty together.

We thank the Imperium of Canada for their recognition. Your nation was a loyal ally of the former Northern Republic and we would be honored to continue such a frienship through the economic and NAP agreements you propose. We can send or receive a delegation as soon as you wish.

We remember Caucasia, and by extension the Slavic Federation, to be one of the strongest allies with our former nation. As part of our policy we generally do not hold anything above a NAP outside of America however we would like to continue a Slavic-NR MDP if at all possible.

Plane Tickets for up to 20 people and hotel reservations in association with the plane tickets were forwarded to the Atlantic States as well as a deed was sent to them for a structure on Embassy Row. The tickets and reservations were for a time fitting members of their diplomatic and economic teams and dated for this coming week. On the schedule was a luncheon with President Caudill and each day meetings relevant to both economic and geopolitical affairs including topics such as free or low-tariff trading, criminal extradition conditions, the possibility of a mutual defense pact for the Americas, and intelligence sharing proposals including the sharing of radar and other real-time military data for mutual defense.

We will never abandon our allies. Your assumptions are correct, a few weeks will be necessary to reform our internal infrastructure however we will soon join back into the fray.
