State of the Alliance

This week has seen membership number drop slightly again to 182 as the recruitment freeze remains in place. Our average nation strength has moved past 25000 while our total nation strength is about to pass 4.6 million.

In domestic news it has been a quiet week. Jyrinx has made some good headway on the new academy program and time permitting we hope to have something in place by the new year. The academy implementation will coincide with a controlled intake of new members which we hope will see our numbers increase but also ensure those members joining the alliance grow rapidly and are knowledgeable about nation development and military strategy and preparation.

The Siberian Trophy has reached the halfway stage this week. In the Trophy division Batch’s shock home loss to FC Tigris Altaica has seen Bamburgh FC create a seven point lead over both those clubs and Condatis Town FC in fourth place. At the foot of the table Zavod Ural Solikamsk’s win during the week was not enough to move them out of the relegation zone while last placed Team Waycool continues to struggle conceding seven goals in their loss to FC Polar Samurai.

FC Lviv and The Mushroom Kommune are joint leaders of the Cup Division and look to have promotion in their grasp with a seven point buffer between them and third placed FC Pinky and fourth placed Muzza Bizza United. In the relegation battle last place The Tainers scored their first points of the season with a win over second from bottom Mercers. With only five points separating third from ninth the relegation battle in this division may go down to the wire in the final weeks of the season.

In the Plate division Striking Tigers FC hold a four point lead over second placed Eagles with AFC Poyplonia two points further back in third. At the bottom of the table Wolverines scored their first win of the season over managerless FC CaVala under new manager, Coloradia but it wasn’t enough to move off the bottom. However with a return fixture tomorrow Wolverines look set to climb up the table at the expense of FC CaVala and the other managerless team, VA REP NATIONAL TEAM.

In the Tiger Trophy knockout cup the finalists were decided during the week. FC Tigris Altaica managed a 2-2 away draw with Condatis Town after letting slip a 2-0 lead but it was enough for Tigris to sneak into the final on away goals. In the other semi-final Zavod Ural Solikamsk’s brave cup run came to an end at the hands of favourites, Batch, with a 4-1 aggregate defeat over two legs. The first leg of the final will take place tomorrow at Twinkie Stadium with FC Tigris Altaica needing a solid win to have any chance of winning their first piece of silverware in 13 seasons of the Siberian Trophy.

In military news we have again had to deal with a steady stream of rogue attacks on our members. Most deciding to fight on rather than accept peace and pay reparations for damages done. One rogue in particular boasted of going out with a bang and begging to be nuked. When we obliged it seemed he was more interested in going out with a whine than a bang.

It was another quiet week in foreign affairs. Although the Valhalla issue was again raised during discussions of alliance ratings which may or may not see another flurry of activity in Valhalla’s embassy at STA HQ this week.

Again, this has been another week of steady growth with regards to total strength and average strength as the recruitment freeze achieves its goal. We look forward to another week of the same with a view to unveiling out new academy program in the not too distant future.

Za Sibir’!

What is the valhalla issue?

It's something that came up somehow in the Alliance Ratings thread. You can do a search for Tyga's and my posts in that and also read they posts we quote. I think that would give you a good overview of the situation.

Good to see our ANS going up ^^
