1.
Should we expect Siberian Tiger members to have a new bevy of Russian wives?
No, but true story: A while back one of our topics did stray onto the subject of warchest enlargement.
Also there was a scare of a war a few weeks between Nordreich and Fark. What would STA think of the plausible CB?
The basic reasoning around here was that ooc stuff shouldn't be used to start a war. I'm glad nothing came of it since it would have probably gotten ic/occ messy.
 2.
Raga really should have put the "don't ask what we think of your alliance/bloc" clause in the OP.
Check the last sentence.
 3.
Please cancel on Polar. That can be a question if you like.
We're actually working on it, but our lawyers just got tied up with some frivolous lawsuit or something. I'll PM you when the cancellation goes through.
 4.
You're 14 days late, I demand a financial compensation for the lack of STA's Press Conference in the first 13 days of this month, my lawyers will be contacting you soon.
I was just waiting for the avg ns to go above 33K. Yes, that's it...
 5. July Monthly Update & Press Conference Welcome to the July edition of the STA Monthly Update. Not really much to report in the last month, but sometimes that's all right. In domestic news our rebuilding continues. We gained two new members in the last month and now boast 86 total members who combine for 2.8 million nation strength, up from 2.4 million and who now have an average nation strength of a little over 33,000 up from 29,000. Two of our cadets successfully completed their intense arctic training during the last month so we'd like to publicly congratulate Scienide, who we're pretty sure is our first and only cadet to be nuked prior to graduation, and also to Gopats who I nearly called Gopants by mistake. In more annoying news we suffered a dramatic rise in spam bots attacking our boards in the last few weeks. This led us to upgrade our forum which startled and in some cases briefly blinded some of our members with its default white theme. Order was quickly restored and a new dark theme was grafted into place. Things were quiet again in the outside world, at least in regards to us. There were no new tech raids or attacks against us and while diplomatic things are always churning behind the scenes we don't have anything to report at this time. And yes, Tygaland's agenda remains at large and presumed dangerous. If you spot it don't attempt to approach it directly, just let us know and we'll handle it. Now, we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. Remember, the usual rules apply. We'll answer most anything as honestly and openly as we can but we ask that you ask a real question. Drive by queries like "what do you think of my alliance" will, as always, be ignored.
 6.
4 Reasons for that: 1. We had no idea how long it would take UINE to start new elections, so we had to made them with an unspecified timeframe, unspecified = permanent on bob (OMG, they can keep those terms permanently), so why not just call them that from the start.
Because it would have been easier and more correct to tell the community the truth of your intentions?
3. We expected to have to make some concessions during negotiations so we had to aim higher then what we needed to force an election and make UINE members speak up. But we where met with less resistance then expected during negotiations.
So you met with less resistance then did the wrong thing because of it? How is that in any way proper?
What about that sovereignty? A lot of people asked me about this so i might as well address it. I can be very plain about that, sovereignty is out of the window the minute someone surrenders. If you demand reps YOU decide how they should use their slots and thus trespass on their sovereignty, when you force someone to not reenter or aid any ally still at war you trespass on their sovereignty, when you decide someone has to get X amount of toptier nations out of peace mode you trespass on their sovereignty. In short, everything but complete white peace is trespassing on someones sovereignty. And don’t misunderstand, though our peace talks with UINE where mostly friendly, we where NOT 2 friends looking for a mutual beneficial solution. It was us being fed up and wanting the issue resolved. So we decided to have our terms target the issues that in our opinion started all this, how it goes from here is up to UINE, they decide where to go from here.
That others wrongly violated various alliances' sovereignty in no way excuses your doing it.
Tl;dr UINE is hereby released from all terms.
Unfortunately your one good decision will drown out your admitted dishonesty to our community and your abuse of the absolute power you held over a defeated alliance.
 7. It's a shame to see such a pretty flag pass into disuse.
 8. Oooh! Stolen name drama. Popcorn anyone? I think it would be a bad idea to use a prevously famous name, but not exactly unfair. Maybe try and [s]extort[/s] negotioate some tech from the previous owners for the use of the name.
 9. The only emotion I wish to convey is gratitude. Thank you for keeping us updated. Live long and prosper.
 10.
No, that wouldn't make much sense at all. On the other hand, perhaps your idea of "making sense" is not making sense. If you want to mention TPF's relationship with STA (I imagine thats what your alluding to), perhaps you'd like to tell us all about iFOK's relationship with NEW. They are pretty different situations, particularly since STA seemingly (you can never be sure though) were ok with what TPF did, witnessed by the fact that that treaty is still around, but still, I'm sure you'd like to tell us all about that?
Be sure. We've become stronger friends since signing our treaty with TPF, and the war did nothing hurt that friendship. If anything the mutual hardship drew us closer together.
 11.
You are so cute If some members of UINE are happy that R&R enabled them to rearrange their alliance then so be it (although, they are saying it was all intended/in progress before they signed anything... up to UINE to sign it into terms after less than two days of war, I guess) and I'm sure R&R are doing nothing more than sitting back and giggling at the Big Evil stigma they've generated so, instead of berating R&R for being excessive and humiliating UINE for being naive, maybe you should question who was looking out for UINE during the negotiations - I wasn't privy to anything, but surely someone else was there guiding them... right?
In my opinion they absolutely should not be happy with the terms that took away their rights. And you are correct, ALL involved in this need to berated, but certainly those that used war to demand the terms and those who accepted such terrible terms should get criticism before anyone else, right?
 12. What I don't get is all the UINE members saying how happy they are that they surrendered their sovereignty. Are you guys really that naive and weak willed? What R&R did to you is flat out wrong. It's the stuff people hold grudges for years over and yet y'all seem to be going along with it seemingly without a clue. You guys should be embarrassed and should look for the first opportunity to take back control of your alliance. Because right now, it not really your alliance at all, its R&R's.
 13. Utterly classless R&R. What you did was the most low down rotten move by any alliance I can recall. Certainly the worst in recent memory.
 14. Sounds good R&R. For clarification, does this include anyone that was attacking or just new wars?
 15. It's funny how the best wars come from the worst CB's, and the worst wars come from the best CB's.
 16. Count me as one of the international community who would like to know the results of the impeachment. It looks like you guys have a hard couple of days ahead. Best of luck getting through them.
 17. It's cool to see you guys honoring those who fought along side you. Good job.
 18. Five years is indeed impressive. Congrats on getting there.
 19.
About 9 Months ago, you were allied to the Mushroom Kingdom. How do you think both of you have changed since then, and where do you think the relationship currently stands?
We haven't changed much if any. We still stand for and against the same things we did nine months ago. As for the relationship they dropped our treaty, executed a preemptive attack that drew away our allies from being able to defend us in an already ongoing war, some of their members went out of their way to attack our leader even though our two alliances were never at war, and they used peace terms to extend their war against one of our allies. I'd describe things as chilly.
STA only has 3(?) Treaties. Do you see the number changing, and in which way? Are you comfortable with the number of allies STA has?
Despite our loss in the last war I'm fairly comfortable with things. Our allies were split up through very unusual circumstances, one was stuck in a war we don't think should have happen and another was caught up defending against an unprovoked attack, but we know we can count on them. In a normal situation I think we have adequate protection. That said we would not be opposed to adding on a new ally if we could find one that fit with our ideals and that we could trust as implicitly as we do our current allies. In the current anti-moralists climate someone like that is tough to find though.
EDIT: Saw this on the wiki, and was curious about this. You've been allied to MK three times. After every *forced* cancellation, you re-signed. Thoughts on that, and what happened?
There's not really much to say here. We were friends in past. We defended and supported each other politically and militarily. Then they dropped us and moved on to other things.
 20.
It doesn't bother you that our side wasn't able to put together a winning coalition in a war that most everyone could see coming? Why/why not?
We didn't fight in a war that anyone saw coming. Really, I think your question is much more relevant to the NPO than it is to us.
 21.
Who do you hate more, PB or DH, and why.
I'm not going to pick sides like that. Certainly neither is my favorite on Bob primarily because of the most recent wars. Both we and our allies took a lot of unnecessary damage because of those wars. That said, war's long done, and I intent to give the alliances of both groups the same respect and courtesy that I'd give to any other alliance.
 22.
How do you feel about the white sphere these days?
I'm no Minister of Finance (that's an internal STA joke btw) and I haven't looked for a trade in ages so I'm not the best one to comment on the economic front, but I think things are going well enough. Politically we have both friends and allies on white and things are going well there. As for white in general we are Siberian Tigers. We blend in well here.
 23.
Aw heck, I'll give this question a try. Will STA be doing anything to try to avoid a repeat of another war with the sides being generally the same as the last?
The last war came to us. VE claimed NpO spied, we strongly disagreed and stuck by our ally as we rightly should have. If someone from the same side chooses to unjustly attack one of our allies again then the results will be the same.
