Although I had not personally engaged any NATO targets (slots were full when I was looking for wars) they conducted themselves honorably. I sincerely wish NATO the best of luck in the future and I hope we can put this conflict behind us and work towards better relations. I would also like to thank all of our allies; DF, IPA, TGE, LSF and ODN. We are honored to call you allies and await the day when we can reciprocate your steadfast support. o7 While it would be nice to stick around in Paris, our forces are needed on the Eastern Front. NADC is also a great alliance who accepted white peace and surrender to the Karma forces. Don't shame such a good alliance as NADC with your ill-informed trolling. I expected and even hailed some of the other surrenders, by the smaller and less politically stable alliances, but when I see one of the mighty Q alliances surrender this fast, it's just pathetic. I've always held a great amount of respect for NATO and for Anu Drake, who was such a catalyst to NATO's political strength, but this move is a complete 180. NATO: Politically strong, Militarily weak. Whatever works, I guess. Congrats on keeping most of your infra. I'm not sure you know the magnitude of the military front for us in this war. That one week removed over a million NS and put a lot of our favorite people in our community into a position that they were going to be toast soon. I personally lost half of my infrastructure and others were suffering just as much. Most of us received a nuke a day and 5-6 poundings on all other types of battles. Another round and we were done. And we didn't have animosity towards the ones attacking us or TI. We have had personal relations in the past to an extensive level and have grown closer during this war. That's what it should all be about, doing your part to the best of your abilities and either realizing you have lost or realizing you could win. None of those words change the fact that we were woefully unprepared for this war militarily and financially. That's my fault and I take full responsibility. We have been trying to build ourselves up in infra and tech recently to overcome consistent losses, and we spent a lot of our time and resources recruiting to add fresh nations to our group. We let our allies that are still fighting down by leaving before the war ended, but it was a question of survival for a community we love and it happened after our non-tC allies were at peace. As I turn the keys to the station over to the new round of leaders in Tithan and wentworth, as least they are not saddled with harsh terms and restrictions. A possibility only made possible by the very alliances we were fighting and some other members of Aqua that helped us achieve peace. You're right, we have always been politically strong and militarily weak (well not always on the second part). That will change soon, and we won't find our selves in this type of position again. I have to add Wentworth's name to Decius and Jaces, you all fought honorably and so did your entire alliance. To all the people who have come into this thread to !@#$%* and moan about white peace, go elsewhere. NATO has proven to be nothing but an honorable alliance. The thought of giving them anything but a white peace is laughable. Both sides fought bravely and that's all that matters. Anyone who says otherwise is a damn fool. The seasoned guerillas of the Libertarian Socialist Federation can now get back to tending our fields (props to Bedeurland for not running his tanks over the cannabis plot out back ) and rebuilding the Federation. I must agree :/ Although I'm glad NATO was granted white peace I think it was done prematurely - They still have the capability to wage nuclear warfare even (albeit only for a few more days). Both sides were still attacking until the announcement came up. to get the message to every member of all 7 alliances takes some time. Even though leaders of alliances in that transition does all they can to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen, sometimes people fall between the gaps. I can assure you that Dark Fist didn't intentionally do that. In fact, I'm surprised more people haven't actually been hit while peace was going on.
