rishnokof
Unfortunately over time, relationships fade, communication comes to a halt, and alliances change. This is what has happened between NATO, our old protectors and aqua brothers, and Ragnarok, both alliances have gone through many changes, and we both believe that our current standing does not represent the Treaty of VANU. Therefor we have mutually agreed to downgrade our MDAP to a ODP, in hopes of re-establishing connections and restoring the relationship that once was. The Fundamentals: A RoK-NATO ProductionPreamble: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Ragnarok (RoK) sign these accords in the spirit of improved friendship, Aqua unity, and mutual respect. Article I: Sovereignty It must be understood that both alliances remain sovereign and independent organizations. Either organization undertaking action (aggressive or defensive) against other entities not included in this agreement may do so without implication or consent of the other signatory. Article II: Non-Aggression Members of the signatory alliances agree that neither may participate in, support, nor condone military action against all signatory members. Article III: Civility The membership of each signatory alliance commit to remaining civil towards each other at all times, particularly in public channels, but also in private. Article IV - Friendship The signatory alliances and their members will treat each other with as much respect and decency as they would their own members. While we may not always agree on matters, we agree to follow all proper channels in regards to grievances, etc. Article V - Assistance Signatories agree that neither is legally bound to grant request of military or financial aid from the other. Both signatories are encouraged to do so in the interest of friendship and building a healthy diplomatic relationship, however requests may be denied with or without reason. Article VI: Espionage Signatory alliances agree that under no circumstances shall either engage in espionage against the other. Further, if a signatory member receive information that points towards a possible leak in another signatory's security, this information must be shared and discussed immediately. Signatory alliances also agree that any information that may constitute a direct threat to the security or well-being of the other signatory will be shared immediately. Article VII: Optional Defense In the event that either signatory alliance is attacked, signatory parties are encouraged to provide aid via military and financial means. Though this aid is encouraged, it is not mandatory. Article IX - Termination Termination of this pact requires 48 hours notice. This notice is required to be given firstly via private channels. Any intentional or planned violations of the articles within this treaty result in the treaty being considered immediately void, unless otherwise agreed upon by the leadership of both signatories. Both signatories also agree to strict non-aggression during this cancellation period. Signed, For Ragnarok: Alfred von Tirpitz, Triumvir Gen. Lee, Triumvir rishnokof, Triumvir Tautology, Military Commander Mecha Sheikh, High Chancellor USMC123, Vice Chancellor Wehrmacht, Prime Minister SKSNH, Vice Minister For NATO: Anu Drake, High Councilor Potentia Lenny N Karl, High Councilor Augmentum Wentworth, High Councilor Externus Tithan, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Emperor Whimsical
Would you please elaborate for those that aren't quick witted enough to put it together? Serious question. Unjust war where you guys didn't go through with Fark or \m/ despite MADPs? Still, its good that you maintain ties rather than canceling outright. SpiderJerusalem
Would you please elaborate for those that aren't quick witted enough to put it together? Serious question. Why are you degrading yourself like that? You are more than clever enough to see what I mean. And your memory should not be as clouded as you express it to be. It's just that NATO have a tendency of "drifting away" from their assumed weaker allies when it's time to make a stand / take a side / have some nads. But good luck anyways
Bob Janova
It's good to see alliances staying friendly and realising when treaties need adjusting. Well done to both parties

But good luck anyways Thank you for the compliment Spider. I knew what you meant, but I would rather you have just put it out there in the first place. This was brought about for many reasons, most of which I am sure you heard through back channels. When all was said and done, both of us decided to remain treatied in one way or another. The fact remains, the treaty was signed under leadership that no longer resides in RoK, and was inappropriately named. Also, we haven't been great with communication. It can be spun as you wish Spider, but that doesn't change.
Mongrel
NATO, you were our protectors, you encouraged us to go to the aqua sphere. We have always valued your friendship. Unfortunately, it just hasn't been a very close one lately. I hope to see things improve some time in the future.

The Pansy
I am very very sad to see this happen, very sad. It was a pleasure in my time in NATO to have built the foundations for what this once was.
SpiderJerusalem
Thank you for the compliment Spider. I knew what you meant, but I would rather you have just put it out there in the first place. Obviously my compliment was misplaced, because you certainly didn't know what I meant ACV ring a bell? I am very very sad to see this happen, very sad.It was a pleasure in my time in NATO to have built the foundations for what this once was.
