Fizzydog
I nominate Fizzydog for the year’s Funniest Player because of the Tagruato corporation’s extreme antics. He made a webpage for it ~ that’s awesome!
I miss Tagruato, I had a ton of fun with that. Shame some buzzkills had to shut it down. jerks. But no, I did not make the website. Tagruato is based off a fictional company used in the movie Cloverfield. Though I had used some trashy free website creator thingies for pass nation's news sites, so the possibility I would've made one for Tagruato is probably pretty high. But then cent had to ruin everything. THANKS CENT.

MostGloriousLeader
I just have a couple of questions as I haven't done this junk in a couple months and stuff might or might not have changed. 1) I assume the tech scale is what is currently in the map thread? So having 50 tech I'd be utilizing 1984 technology? 2) Does someone specifically own the company Lockheed-Martin? I was looking at the list of fortune 500 companies to see what my economy could be built upon and I have discovered that LM is headquartered in Maryland, plus a bunch of other corporations in my nation I'd like to have. 3) I've always kind of wondered about the max troop limit in place for everyone. I'm not against it or anything but I'm wondering if those are just combat troops or if support troops are included in that? It seems most nations go with the latter case but I just want to clarify. 4) I know I don't have a navy but am I allowed to have patrol and missile boats? Stuff like this. I'm not gonna build a fleet of like thousands of these. Maybe a dozen or two. 5) Hopefully this doesn't sound stupid but In order to have an Air force do I have to actually buy one in game? I mean everyone gets 50 aircraft ig anyway so do I actually have to have them or is it just assumed.
Max troops are your IG troop count x10. Also, what do you mean by support troops? Do you mean things like cooks and janitors or things like reservists?
You are allowed to have patrol boats or a brown-water navy, but the thing is that these ships are worse than useless against anyone with an IG navy. Kankou
1) Yes. 2) By now, it's pretty much free for all. Most go by where the FACTORIES are located, though. 3) Infantry. Basically, those that actually hold the guns/mortars. 4) Patrol, yes. Missile boats are a bit iffy, but possible. 5) Yes. You have to have IG air force.
Here is a snippet from the rules, available in the CNRP World Map thread; *Nations with less than 500 tech must utilize half-squadrons of planes, which be be less than or equal to six planes per squadron. Planes are equal to maximum number capable of having in-game. *Nations with more than 500 tech may utilize full squadrons, which would be greater than six but capped at a maximum of twelve planes per squadron. Such 12-plane squadrons are equal to maximum number capable of having in-game. You DO NOT have to buy aircraft in the game to have them in CNRP. HHAYD
Does anyone remember any specific countries or coalitions that were crushed by a much larger coalition or survived being outnumbered/gunned? I do remember a few, but I can't think of their names. Edited January 8, 2012 by HHAYD

By support troops it would mean people like mechanics and medics, I believe. But what Kankou says is correct...the ones meant to hold the weapons are the only ones that count against your total. Kankou
I just figured I should write it here: The entrance to the Catacombs of Paris is located at Place Denfert-Rochereau, way south of the action which Sarah and Triyun are doing. Basically, the characters are trying to go somewhere that doesn't exist in their location. Probably sewers should be the best bet for now, until they make it that far south. Kankou
I'm not a selective realist. I always think it as cities being RL unless directly stated (or totally destroyed by a nuke). In other words..... I'm sad that Triyun would ignore reality

MostGloriousLeader
What's the date in CNRP? I know time is accelerated by something like 1 RL week = 3 months or something like that since nobody wants to wait for months or years in RL to get things done. If so I would imagine the world in is a bit ahead of the current date. That being said I believe we have an upper limit on tech years so I would assume that's the maximum the date could be. I'm just curious and I've always wondered about it.
