1. Thanks IAT, I remember you from a galaxy and time far far away... You were always friendly to me.
2. The wise speak only of what they know, Ninja of the House Post Grunge Super Group. A witless worm have you become. Therefore be silent, and keep your forked tongue behind your teeth.
3. The available section of Poland please... (Finally, muahaha) I'mmmmmm baaaaack! Call it the Commonwealth (you know why..)
4. With the governance of the coast restored under the 300 men of the Imperial Armed forces gathered a council with the newly re-found Emperor and set out to attempt to start rebuilding the Empire. Calls for reinforcements would be sent out to the very same countryside that was now back under Imperial control. Townsfolk would be rebuilding the empire's damaged infrastructure as best they would, while the Emperor would reestablish the government.
5. OOC: I feel nothing wrong with the way I've been rp'ing this- these "vague one paragraph responses" are in response to your own vague dickering around with how the troops are dealt with- I said to you before, you're having me chase you around the whole goddamned City of Newport just to bloody wipeout 4 bloody men- it's impossibly unrealistic- not that I'm saying that you have to roll over and die, not at all. Further, you want to talk advantages? You were the one to say only 50 men were brought with your captain on this merry adventure, I rp'd having my 500 men of my new nation against them AGREED to by you- I'm letting you kill scores of my men(25+ last I checked) versus 2 or 4 of your 5 man advanced hell raising squad not even yet getting to your main people doing hell in my palace. Lastly, you want to talk rp'ing style? fine, my rp'ing style is paragraph RP just like you see I say what I say in about a paragraph or more for my news stories for my news thread, I don't go deeply into character RP like you do I'm not nuts about it, they're just characters they don't need full biographies to back them up, just whatever details and personalities I give them- IC: The men would take a tactic from the pirates now, tossing lit torches through the open windows and wherever flammable material could be found. The Imperials numbering still some 475 strong laughed at the pirates seeing how they retreated like rats from the advancing men. The troops saw a maggot infested corpse fall from a window and a few let out cries that it was the corpse of the Emperor's body double who acted as a target for assassins. Covering the exits of the palace with now enraged and empowered guards, the Imperials threw more torches into the building and planned to smoke out the enemy forcing them to their deaths. The palace could be rebuilt, the filth inside needed exterminating anyway.
6. OOC: I will either then not recognize it or purely drop CN and CNRP not because I am a quitter no, but merely because you want everything your way and I can't have what's rightfully mine after being gone what? 4 hours at the most?
7. For the sake of argument Cent- Nutmeg is disputed
8. OOC: No! Absolutely not! I did not agree to the death of my Emperor. Further, can we speed this along I want to get back to actual RP involvement
9. OOC: Give me time to think please IC: More Nutmeg Imperial troops fell as the bullets rained down but others returned a hellstorm of bullets cutting through the few remaining enemy. Fighting the way through the barracks and back out into town the remaining troops numbering some 475 made their ways to the sounds of shouting, drunkenness and debauchery hoping to find the remains of the enemy camp and exterminate them.
10. The pirates forgot despite the confusion and despite the hell that the city of Newport was being reduced to that they were facing not a rag tag bunch of men but a professionally trained army of crack troops. The men did not panick as much as hoped, holding ranks and returning fire when fired upon. (OOC: I'm not advancing in parade march across the streets Sarah, I'm not an idiot so I will take less damage here) The fire shot from the Pirate O'Neill did take one of the unsuspecting Imperial troops down forcing him back as his arm now has a musket ball lodged inside, but the return fire from the windows of the barracks from 4 other muskets took out the pirate lord.
11. The men would receive the fire from the enemy, they saw it coming from the windows across the way due to the flashes of the muskets and the rising plumes of smoke. While the majority of the men took cover inside of the barracks, 25 men would go and sneak their way into the enemy's holdings. The pirates would have a special treat coming for them if they thought that the city would remain theirs so easily. Drawing pistols and swords the men approached and snuck up behind one of the pirates acting as a sentry. Pressing a knife to his throat and ordering his band of 25 men to surround the lone pirate, Commander James Washington said "How many do you number and where are you concentrated." Receiving no answer Washington left the pirate gutting his throat open so he bled like a fish, the men of the Nutmeg Army moved on hoping to find the remaining men.
12. OOC: This will be tankless(so no cannons) and frankly Sarah has one ship so meh 1700s tech HO! The invading pirates had thought that the government of the Nutmeg Empire had fallen so easily, little did they know. The ablebodied men of the army of the Empire simply went into hiding versus the attacking bands of marauders, biding their time until it was appropriate to attack and reclaim the Empire from the foul scum. They hid in basements and crawl spaces fed and clothed and protected by the loyalist towns-people of the various communities of the Empire. Finally, it was time to attack. Sneaking free of patrols in the middle of the night, The army all 500 strong men with their muskets ready to fire marched towards the barracks of the enemy where their troops slept unawares.
13. OOC: More to come
14. RUUUUUUN! RUUUUN FOR YOUR LIVES, IT'S MAEL!
15. Classified: By the Orders of the High Command and the Emperor, John I. The Department of War hereby issues the orders for the following naval vessels to be completed post haste by the naval shipyards of the Empire. 18 x Destroyers (OOC: More Caldwell Class Destroyers) 24 x Corvettes (OOC: Based off the Flower Class Corvettes of WW2) 24 x Frigates (OOC: Based off the Loch Class Frigates of WW2) In addition, 6 Bookforth Class submarines are ordered to be sent in for extensive repairs and overhauls of their systems for the foreseeable future.
16. Tonnage for me would be complex...(not too hard to understand) but just that it's explained really poorly here, When I hear tonnage I think Washington Naval Treaty so, is my assumption wrong?
17. OOC: Canon from this point here- at least for myself-- IC: June 7, 20XX Night-time. Under the cover of darkness,5,000 men from landing crafts would sneak ashore under covering fire from the ships of the Imperial Nutmeg Navy and Air Force hoping to gain a toehold on the soft beaches of Hilton Head Island and then turn and quickly capture the Airfield at Hilton Head. while a further 5,000 would attempt to gain the same toehold at Bluffton, SC. Paratroops of the 303rd Airborne Wing would attempt under the same cover of nightfall to gain control of the isthmus separating Marine Base Parris Island from the town of Beaufort and the Marine Air Station also at Beaufort. The airforce numbering 450 F-35 II planes would target enemy communications equipment on the ground, targetting especially radar systems, telephone systems and especially power stations to knock out any sort of defense arrays and communications equipment. The 450 F-35 II fighters would be broken down into 5 attack wings lead by lieutenant commanders Hart, Jozef, Milton, Rodgers, and lastly, the commanding pilot, the Norwegian Ooway. 250 A-10 Warthog planes also lead by lieutenant commanders would break into squadrons of 10 planes each and would target military barracks and ground forces. The bombing wings of 96 B-1R's and 48 B-2 Barak bombers broken into units of 6 and 156 VAF-2 Shadowhawk fighter-bombers broken into 26 wings of 6 planes each would seek to crater the enemy airfields and supply centers. The plan would be for the planes to attack in their squadron formats, wave after wave of attacking planes would seek and destroy anything in their paths, be it an enemy fighter or bomber or ground installation which was proving to be quite the menace. The bombing runs would coincide with the attacks from the fighters so that the fighters were too distracted by the fight to attempt to intercept them. Each bombing section had responsibilities and targets including the Marine Air Station and Parris Island as well as major munitions factories and factories. Radio stations and telecommunications hubs would be jammed using EA-18G Growler electronic warfare planes in order to disrupt transmissions of data and information about the attacks. Cruise missiles would be launched from stations located in New England manned with BGM-109G GLCM launchers while planes would also launch AGM-88-HARM missiles to knock out radar stations while AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and AIM-9 Sidewinders would provide a punch against enemy attacks. The Navy would target with missile fire and heavy gun fire the beaches and any targets that came into range and posed a threat to the landing forces of the Nutmeg Empire, namely missile launch utilities like static SAM sites and mobile SAM launchers, in addition to the conventional silos where other missiles would be stored. However, if a threat loomed closer, it would not be ignored, instead it would be utterly obliterated. Special Forces of the 310 Brigade under the command of William Tecumseh Sherman would infiltrate the single bridge that separates Hilton Head, South Carolina via paradrop and hold it with a select crack set of troops numbering 75 men, They would be supported in this goal by a further unit of 2500 paratroopers to provide for the best defence possible. OOC2: Corrected because this had the wrong information/date
18. Shammy for the record- D-Day (considering today its relevant to my point) 3,000,000 men in a total of 4,126 landing craft(of all types) thats 727 men per landing craft... I only am using 500,000 men so let's cut the numbers by 6 because if it was only an invasion of 500,000 it would need only 1/6th the number of landing craft am I right or am I wrong in my assumption. that's 688 landing craft(plus or minus plane landings too which I didnt figure here, this is just seaborne) would be 628 men per landing craft! it's logical that I could do this dude.
19. Basically look at Australia for mine
20. I'd love final figures on each side(with modifier)- that way I can reduce the troop commitment currently offered
21. Remember guys- I have 500,000 out to sea this does not mean they are landing right now- just that they are seaborne/airborne. They will land in waves... would that appease you?
22.
Remember that at Normandy the allies prefabricated two artificial harbors to sustain allied forces until they captured a port city (which was a high priority). Honestly, the whole instant invasion is something that's idiotic in my opinion. An amphibious invasion is among the most difficult, and risky military actions that exist. To dumb it down to instant transportation is insulting in my mind. I don't expect someone to offload every single bullet, tank and soldier. I do expect at least an initial explanation on how and where the supplies and equipment are coming ashore in adequate amounts. Beyond that the link is established and I could care less about further rp on that unless your opponent purposely begins attacking your supply lines. That's just my opinion though.
But my point is that (and yes I know and remember Mulberry I and II extensively) others have in the past insta-moved troops I understand your reluctance and respect it- Hell, I am not invading you with troops- It's Isaac I am hitting- I have as I said before starting steaming towards Isaac, I have not as of yet arrived yet and I assume so far (have not thought it out yet) I would rush my troops out of the transports and beach others(with the tanks and stuff pouring out)
23. Part 1. argument to that is that it was that way previously in CNRP(the teleport landings bit) point 2. would be that they would drive up on the beaches (a la Normandie) I havent figured it out yet
