These divisions are the finest and most experienced in the Red Army and are oriented for all types of warfare. They serve as the hammer of the Red Army, delivering the killing blow with rapid mechanized infantry and armored units. Partisans are Soviet Bolshevik Party combatants, foreign guerrilla forces under Eurasian Command, and independent groups ranging from cells to battalion sized elements who carry the Red Banner. Weapons generally include Small arms, anti-tank weapons and MANPADs, although nearly 100 Challenger tanks are holding urban areas. There are also a large number of armored fighting vehicles, although more often one would witness pick trucks with mounted anti-air cannons or other anti-tank/anti-personnel weapons. Improvised Explosive Devices, including EFP weapons, are frequently employed when outnumbered.

Each brigade is armed with an organic artillery Battery. Mechanized and Armored Brigades have 4-vehicle AS-90 batteries, as well as 2 2-vehicle Tõll (Toell) 305 SPSA batteries. Mechanized artillery also uses Firefinder Radar to assist in counter-battery fire. Reserves have six 4-gun "Half-Batteries" (4 gun, 2 rocket.) Most infantry battalions have a MANPAD weapons platoon or mechanized equivalent. The Combat Anti-Armor Team is armed with RPG-29 launchers, TBG-29V launchers, PG-29V rounds, 2B14 Podnos mortars as well as a RT-20 rifles. Each infantry soldier is normally equipped with: an entrenching tool, a hand grenade, an incendiary thermite grenade, body armor & helmet, MOLLE webbing, a small first aid kit, 1 liter canteen, rain parka, gas mask, communication device, modernized sword bayonet, and of course, their personal weapon and sidearm. Equipment may vary or be added accordingly for environment.

 

A battery of M270 MLRS is attached at the division level.

 

Mechanized divisions are fully equipped with Sisu XA-203 APC's, and are marked with a (M). Other forces rely on the non-APC transportation listed. Tanks are held as 100-tank Armored Attachments, and are attached to divisions are needed. Divisions with an Armored Attachment are marked with a (T).

Following the unexpected collapse of Ubersteinia, the combination of Polish and Baltic lands fell into disarray quickly, with the Uberstein military largely remaining neutral in the following political turmoil. Taking advantage of the situation were the Capitalistic powers of Alvonia and Muscovy, which invaded and caused much resentment with their foreign laws and customs and abuses of the civilian population.

 

Two Russian White Army divisions were sent by Muscovy, and a Fascist Infantry division was sent east in an attempt to intimidate the people of Uberstein. However, it was the blockade of the black sea which was the straw that broke the camels back. With prices soaring in Eastern Europe, the banned Soviet Bolshevik Party won the support of the unpaid Uberstein military, which was renamed the Eurasian Red Army. With the military declaring such firm support, three foreign divisions despised by the populace were not enough to hold the fear of the people. In the cities and countryside word swiftly spread and 200,000 partisans, guerrilla forces and new Red Army recruits joined the effort. Thus the White Army and Fascist divisions swiftly found themselves surrounded by a sea of crimson, and was forced to dig in defensively. An army of 400,000 had been raised within the first few days of the Revolution, but because Uberstein was in anarchy the word did not get out until recently.

 

With Soviet Bolshevism spread rapidly by the new Red Army and Partisan forces, a confrontation may soon occur between Fascist and White Army forces against the defending Red Army, the two greatest enemies of Soviet Socialism in History.

Therefore, the USSE has exactly 48 hours, starting from this announcement, to disarm its military and turn over the civilian and military leadership to Alvonia, followed by free and fair elections with observers from the European Community to prevent voting fraud. Failure to comply with this or resistance will be acted upon harshly. If the 48 hours expire and Vienna has not received word of the handover and disarmament, the Wehrmacht will conduct offensive operations to force regime change and will arrest those responsible for this massive Bolshevik movement.

Unfortunately, the Bolshevik Party's claims were patiently false: Muscovy's intervention were not an "invasion", there were no "blockade" in place, and there were no wide support in the former Ubersteinian military, whose members supported the Muscovite peacekeepers and in fact cooperated with them in establishing order. It was also an impossibility that a huge army of 400,000 "Red Army" soldiers would have been raised in the lands of the Baltics in days, for no former Ubersteinian citizens would willingly join such an organization. In fact, there were no Red Army troopers in the Baltic States.

 

Army peacekeepers and auxiliary police in the Baltic states as well the Putingrad Governorate (formerly Kaliningrad) were placed in high alert, as Army and government officials monitored the situation in neighboring Poland.

The Red Army was a part of the Ubersteinian Socialist Party and the members of the army from Poland have been there for years. They were members of the Polish Communist Party that has had a military force since the early 1950s. Muscovite Propaganda is not welcomed to use against our friends.

 

OOC: He can contest a protectorate. He can also have a starting force. We all did when we made our nations. Also I have yet to see in the map thread where you declared it a protectorate. I only see where you were about to start invading it in your news thread. It wouldn't matter much if you did have it as a protectorate anyway. Continue your OOC banter in the OOC thread.
