The Red Army was a part of the Ubersteinian Socialist Party and the members of the army from Poland have been there for years and were members of the Polish Communist Party that has had a military force since the early 1950s. Muscovite Propaganda is not welcomed to use against our friends rather than fit another Muscovy Imperialist Expansion.

OOC: He can contest a protectorate. He can also have a starting force. We all did when we made our nations. Also I have yet to see in the map thread where you declared it a protectorate. I only see where you were about to start invading it in your news thread. It wouldn't matter much if you did have it as a protectorate anyway.

OOC: Actually, you're wrong. According to the rules:

- The first is to find white space that is not labelled as a protectorate, and request a portion of land.
- The second way is to find a protectorate and either request it of them private message its owner (there is a list of protectorate owners below) or find them in our coldfront channel, #cnrp2.
- You may also make a post in this map thread asking if there is any significant land. There is a rare occasion that someone will grant you a piece of their own (colored) land, but this is, like I said, rare.
If you don't see land in a continent you want, don't be discouraged. You can RP anything, anywhere. If you want any kind of culture where you're going, you can have it. You may have to discuss it with the protectorate owner, because they may object to you rping certain types of things in an area under their control.

The only way Tywin can start a nation in the Baltic States, which is my protectorate, he had to contact me and ask for permission, something which he didn't do. And:

Land Expansion:
Land expansion requires one topic per RL country or Province, whichever is most applicable.
This topic must have a minimum of 7 posts in two weeks. This is effectively a post every 2 days, which should be reasonable given a large land expansion.
Until that time period is up, the land is considered contestable should any other nation put forth forces to contest it In Character.

The contestation rule only applies if you're an established nation and you expand into land, which is not the situation here.

And the reason I didn't post it as such in the map thread was because of the rules themselves, in which it was stated that a minimum of 7 posts had to be made on a particular territory in order to be added to the map. I'm still in the process of rping them out. Had I posted in the map thread, they would have told me to rp it some more.

In that case, I'm still contesting your claim of former Ubersteinia. :

I'm still not entirely convinced you aren't trying to expand or annex it, and if that is indeed your aim, than you will at the very least have to go through me. :p

(I assure Muscovy we have no intentions or desire to expand into Muscovy ourselves; we only wish to ensure that other nations don't expand into or annex it for themselves.) Edited by Euphaia

OOC - You did not follow any of the rules in regards to a protectorate; if you cannot hold land, it is open to challenge. Three divisions total are not enough to hold that much land, as I will continue to roleplay. Additionally, you did not post a separate thread with multiple posts, so it is not recognized that way either.

I think Muscovy is getting antsy.

What did we decide on for expanding the Eastern European Monroe Doctrine, in regards to our bloc policy?

"Ukraine stands by it's allies in Hungary-Slovakia. A protectorate is solely there to protect land from outside aggression. This is not outside aggression, it is a forming of a nation of these people who do not want you to rule over them anymore. They are sovereign people. With that said, if you wish to continue your imperialist invasion of Eastern Europe; You now have to go through the independent people in the USSE, Ukraine, and Hungary-Slovakia. We do not come without friends either."

(OOC Lol, really meant that for pm and somehow I posted it in the thread by mistake. Am glad to hear it is, I think, becoming a bloc policy, though.

Is no secret I stand against any imperialism or expansion into our region, though.)

"The Kingdom of Portugal will lend any and all assistance to counter the USSE and will not ally itself with any nation that defends its existence."

- Prince Vicente, Executor of State

Classified to Portugal

"Ukraine asks if Portugal will be withdrawing from The European Community, or picking which articles it wishes to follow, or who it chooses to follow the treaty with rather than following their treaty obligations? It is fair to say you do not support us, however our treaty asks you do that in private channels than public disputes. May we remind you that the others in your bloc are using your great and powerful army for a meat shield for themselves? We wanted the treaty with you to be your friends and economic partners."

Kingdom of Sverige

The Kingdom of Sverige does not support and will never support a Communist or Marxist revolution, and finds the very idea a threat to the stability and strength of neighboring nations, however due to the fact that the nation that this revolution has risen in, Ubersteinia we find ourselves in a delicate situation. Ubersteinia had raised arms against our nation in the past and threatened the lives of the citizens of Sverige as well as the independence of our Nordic brothers and sisters, for this reason since they are rising up against an enemy government, we find ourselves having to support this revolution and will do anything within our power to protect this fledgling Red Government from anyone who would attempt to have a return of an enemy of the Kingdom of Sverige.

Thus with this Declaration of Military Support, the Kingdom of Sverige recognizes the Government of the United Soviet Socialist Eurasia, and pledges to support it from foreign aggression.

"Ukraine supports Sverige's opinion. We would like to remind Sverige that we like many other CDT nations are socialist and a Marxist or Communist nation does not yet exist. We just want to send this up for clarity as western stereotypes link Socialism and Communism together. We are sure you already humbly aware, but we felt the need to remind you just in case."

Official French communique

France will not support the stance of Sverige in this matter. The government of Uberstein could easily be replaced with one which does not support Bolshevism, by far the most destructive influence on European Affairs in the last two hundred years, and in fact was on its way to doing so. France will not come to blows with our allies in Sverige, and we will protect them from aggression from any source during this conflict, but we cannot come to their aid if they strike first against the nations arrayed against this new, dangerous state.

The states arrayed at present have no intention to return the government of Uberstein, France implores Sverige to look the other way. France will ensure that no enemies of Sverige are put into power within the region should they only not interfere.

*In response to the deteriorating conditions in former Ubersteinia, 100 security forces would be sent into Ubersteinia to protect the Hungarian diplomatic observers currently there.

They are neutral and have orders not to engage unless they or the observers are engaged first.*

Not Public

They are also to help observe, gather intelligence in the area, and report their findings.

Classified:

Given the deterioriating situation in the Baltic region, Stavka decided to elevate the alert level of military forces stationed in the Protectorate of Livonia to DEFCON 2, and the rest of Muscovy would be placed on DEFCON 3.

The protectorate forces, numbering 50,000 troops, stationed in the Baltic States and the Putingrad Governorate would begin digging in hard. If needed be, an additional 20,000 to 30,000 troops would be deployed to the protectorate. Mobile surface-to-air launchers outfitted with S-300 long-range surface-to-air missiles, along with short-range anti-aircraft surface-to-air missiles (both which would be equipped with high explosive cluster munitions as well as e-bomb warheads) would be readied into position, and so would the hundreds of T-90 MBTs, mobile artillery, and MLRS. Several squadrons of fighters and interceptors stationed in Putingrad and Lithuania would be equipped with subsonic and hypersonic air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, and be readied into position to conduct CAPs at a moment's notice. Two squadrons of Tupolev Tu-60 bombers would be outfitted with long-range and medium-range air to air missiles, and explosive munitions, and readied for liftoff.

Alongside the border between Putingrad and Poland, border guards and auxiliary police would begin to arm themselves with heavy weaponry and equipment to serve as the first line of defense should hostilities break out. UAVs would be dispatched to observe the border regions, and emergency evaluation protocols would be ready to be activated in a moment's notice if needed be. The Muscovite-Ukrainian borders would likewise be placed under heightened surveillance through UAVs.

Public:

The border guards alongside the Putingrad and Lithuania borders would allow the Hungarian observers in.

"Are international observers are in danger in the deteriorating conditions.  If you do not allow us to pass, you are intentionally indangering them.

We reiterate that we are neutral and are here only for security purposes, and that we have as much right to enter as Muscovy's security forces do.

We insist on being let through to do our duty, unless Muscovy is prepared to offer our observers proper protection itself, or else any harm that comes to them will be all on Muscovy's hands."

Yes, we know the observers are in.

They need either our protection or Muscovy's protection, with the security situation deteriorating as it is.

Either let us protect them, give your solemn word that Muscovy will protect them at all costs, or we will let ourselves in.
