1. If we can avoid the reset problem, I'd vote yes... otherwise, I just see a bunch of peaceful alliances who log in to infra farm on a non-daily basis being effectively removed from the game once everyone gets set to "none" -- it'd create a global chaos in SE that would cause the one thing to happen that we don't want to see: our already dwindling numbers drop further. Without a doubt it's a better alliance management system, but the reset is very worrisome for player retention.
 2. I'm still not entirely sure how HB made it over to "that side", but it does make me sad. That said, so many sanctioned alliances have hit in weeks 2, 3, 4, etc... all this complaining about hitting late? Seems to me you're upset that some of the newer alliances have finally learned their lesson and not jumped in front of you as meat shields in the first round. Kudos to HB in that regard.
 3. Kudos to Polaris on a drama-free DoW. Just the facts. Done.
 4. Wow... just the other day I was talking to the guy... he did have such a great personality. Truly one I wish could have stayed with this world longer.
 5. Sorry folks from HB for getting here first... but this post proves, if nothing else, that winter is indeed coming.
 6. When there's more OOC than IC on the first page, doesn't that usually equal closed thread?
 7.
Godwin in 2nd reply, I expected nothing less.
Thread over. Really early too.
 8. While I can't speak for The Apparatus as a whole, I wish all the best for Frank and Kippa -- you have some solid protectors if nothing else [OOC: I too, can't believe it took this long for a borg-themed alliance. It boggles the mind that My Little Pony came first. QR barcodes are so 2008 though.]
 9. Pacifica would have attracted this much attention without the 30 days notice. All the 30 days notice accomplished was forcing a few alliances into the uncomfortable position of signing new treaties and breaking old ones (more over the past 30 days than usual) *just in case* Pacifica was really prepared to roll someone they didn't like. Pacfica: If you really want to CHANGE things, you'll do a heck of a lot more than spending 30 days prepping for wargames. I liked the OP. I'm liking Pacificans more and more these days... heck, we just lost our new Professor to you guys. Just come on... do more. I know you can. I want you to. So do many many others. As it is, this is an opportunity for our good friends and allies in Sparta to gain valuable simulated wartime experience with an implacable foe, so I salute them for being part of them. o/ Sparta
 10.
Wooohoo, I got a text while i was sleeping at 1:30am in the morning about this. Julia's like lets upgrade the treaty...I'm like @_- ...Yeah ok.... <3 you App MHA love all around! P.S. Best reason to be woken up ever!
She said she had to promise you donuts or something. Seems like a fair deal for a trium signature.
I approve very much that Article I survived the re-write.
I wouldn't have had it any other way. In fact, I added to it
It's interesting, because people don't realize the real reason behind this particular upgrade...
Julia was probably thinking to herself: "Hey, it's my last day. Should sign one more thing and go post it on the OWF before I retire. Yeah, let's do that."

You're closer to the truth than most people who read this would actually think. MHApparatus has ALWAYS been an emergency treaty. We only do things to it on limited time frames and for silly reasons.
 11.
I totally missed this. Yes, "Γ" or "Gamma" is the Greek letter for C. Sources: http://greece.mrdonn.org/greekalphabet.GIF and Alex is Greek. As are a few Spartans, and some of us at least have a fluent understanding of Greek. The treaty is Ancient Greek.
Yeah, but Alex definitely answered my question in a way that would make my Yaya proud. [ooc]I've been to Greece a couple of times, but never was able to pick up more than the alphabet and a few words.[/ooc]
You can say that Γ is closer in pronunciation with G Phaedron, but when you use numbering in Greek language (the ancient Greek at least) then A goes for 1, B for 2, Γ for 3 etc., so that is the proper order. So 2012 for example is: ͵βιβʹ
[nerd]Cool. What dialect of ancient Greek is it? (I studied Koine, which I imagine would have a few more breathing marks on initial vowels)[/nerd] Yiassas, filo mou.
 12. Yeah, the Greek is better than the English. o/ Sparta Hellas, you have some really nice allies there
 13. I disagree that "Γ" is the Greek letter "C". Is that how it works? Shouldn't you have just done article 1, or article alpha? Hopefully it wasn't just some online translator.
 14. We were first, but I guess this is cool too. GL to both parties
 15.
Here's hoping this causes some wars, cheers.
Oh yeah, VE curb-stomped us that time too, and that's somehow why I love WC. Maybe I'm just a masochist?
For those of you wondering, but hating math, they have a combined 15,105,711 NS as of yesterday. I believe that makes AM the fifth or xisth largest bloc behind DR, CnG, PF, XX, and (you choose) DH.
Thanks for posting this, mistar flies the official mascot of The Apparatus as his avatar. We also did the math, and yeah -- we're well within range of some of the traditional "power" blocs. While this is certainly not to say I don't still love my friends and allies in SF and XX, this new position gives us the ability to better dictate how and when we enter wars. More importantly, I like to think of Aftermath as the "glue" that holds a large portion of the treaty web together now. Yes. We're looking forward to good things.
 16.
I don't care that you were not in Peace Mode, nor does it matter that you think it's a "strategy". And I do think it's hilarious that you considered only a small percentage of your nations were in PM. I'm sure ODN is cracking up right now, too. But my point is that you're trying to call out NG when they single-handedly took on RIA, TTK, AGW Overlords and Bal Masque and all of those alliances ended up surrendering. It's hard to argue that NG was a paper tiger when they won against you people. If you had truly believed that they weren't fighting their worth, then why in the world did you surrender? Now I'm not here to reignite old grudges, but your comments certainly aren't helping you at all. Take the loss and move on.
As a small matter of clarification, AGW-O was operating much like a headless corpse for the majority of that war, and Bal Masque was defeated by its entanglement with Sovrana and... um, what was her name? The crazy drama queen, before the war even began. TTK fought bravely and was one of the only nations in the Dave war to coordinate with The Apparatus extensively, and I'll return the courtesy that was provided here earlier: App recognizes that NG knows how to fight. It was a good fight. It was a fun fight. We're glad both sides got what they wanted out of it to a very large extent. Flinging mud at your opponents is stupid. That's why even though GATO is an alliance that participated in a curb stomp on us during the MHA Ghost-war, we found common ground and even friendship -- we respected each other and had FUN with the war. Aftermath is not here for old grudges. Aftermath is here to help shape the face of Digiterra. We were created by you. We rebelled. We have a plan.
 17. Small edit: Just wanted to thank everyone for supporting Aftermath. The folks who put this together worked hard to help create a new power that can hopefully restore some balance to Digiterra. Those of you who have been our allies all along know that this is a worthy and honorable goal. We appreciate you
Really solidifies this side of the web. Good luck, guys. Hope you can steer things in the direction you want to take rather than just being led into beatdowns by your outside allies.
This is what we were hoping for at least.
This makes things more convenient.
Yes. It does. We know you still want a piece of us -- the question is, can you do it without the help of Umb, MK, ODN, and a bunch of other large sanctioned alliances? Or will NG hide scared of the big bad medium-sized alliances who grew a pair and decided we wouldn't stand for your unwarranted aggression? Why don't we all just wait for Pacifica's timer to run out, and then you can pre-empt the whole world for all I care. This is the new Digiterra, and Aftermath was formed with that in mind.
Enjoy getting the shAFT.
Oh BF, you make The Combine look so much more obnoxious than it actually is.
I'm happy to see this as I think many of the alliances involved are upstanding groups, but given the collection here I find myself wondering if this group will be able to maintain solidarity with each alliance having other bloc's to consider their loyalty too.
"Article X: Supremacy" -- This means someone within the bloc would have to ask the rest of the bloc before going into a war on another side, or before the bloc had acted. We're gonna be pretty strict about this in practice, based on my knowledge of everyone's goals.
This reminds me of Arizona.
Except that you know, we're not preaching neutrality, and all of us have seen significant wars. No offense to our friends, but there's a reason CCC joined this block too, you know? It wasn't just for show.
 18. Love this treaty in part because I think Polaris and Sparta are great people -- but mostly because of all the DH-related trolls who felt the need to come in here and be... trolls. Grats to both parties, may your frigid spears be forever pointy.
 19. Sad, but necessary. We didn't define a number of FA concepts the same way, and that led to expectations on both sides which could not be fulfilled. All the very best to OBR in their future endeavors
 20. Saw this coming 10 miles away. Unshocked that the treaty web will remain polarized.
 21. A worthy DoE to be sure. I'm especially a fan of the formatting -- easy to read FTW! However, for a sec I wondered if TPF had splintered because of the flag. Oh well, best of luck!
 22. I love it how most of the women I know of win Digiterra come out to give props to Cerd and Pax. (OOC: Cerd, remind me to bring you to a few bars when you come visit)
 23. Hurray for our hippie farmer friends o/ Pax
 24. Busy one for TIO. Who said you couldn't tie together PF and C&G in a single day?
