Basically, we didn't present a cancellation as an offer, Stagger spoke to Merger offering a downgrade to an ODP/ODoAP. In the logs I've seen, he didn't actually say cancellation. I meant it was more of an possibility, (as it basically happened with IAA when they offered to downgrade) should the downgrade offer not be accepted. Frankly, we didn't feel our relationship was worthy of a treaty at MDoAP level anymore. There wasn't enough communication on both ends for that treaty, hence, the offer of an ODoAP, or we'd consider taking the option of getting rid of the treaty altogether.

[/quote] The thing is though, we didn't opt for cancellation, but it was an option should you not accept our offer/request for a downgrade. As nothing had been agreed on between our alliances, nothing itself had really changed. We still held an MDoAP, right up until you cancelled it. Hypothetically, should you have been attacked even one minute before you cancelled, we'd still be bound to defend you. Personally, I find it interesting that you jumped the gun to cancel on us, before we had come to an agreement on either downgrading, or us cancelling. I'll be honest here, it looks to me like you're trying to save some face. Yes, I'd like to retain friendships, but I can't say I like the way you've gone about this.
