1.
One man cannot turn a perpetually horrible alliance around in quality, nor in the public eye.
I strongly disagree with this sentiment, and wish to put it to the test.
 2.
I don't mind Legion. You're an old world alliance with a (apparently) perfectly fine internal dynamic keeping you going being judged by outsiders in a system that uses number of treaties as a metric for success. You've lost a lot of wars, but that apparently hasn't mattered since you've lasted more losing wars than most alliances have lasted winning wars. If you wanted to start doing the OWF thing, as other have pointed out, you'd have to mobilize massively to meet external criteria: serious nation-building, an OWF presence, and treaties with some asshammers in the PB/DH or Duckroll/Mjolnir periphery.
And the right person to bring it all together. One with motivation, and talent, and is a known quantity. There are few such people left on Planet Bob, however.
 3.
What? Don't get me wrong, GATO and CnG are pretty much one and the same anyway. But I thought that was always a de facto thing. What ever happened to the "We won't sign Mutual Aggression Treaties"? Anyway, cue TIO complaining because GATO didn't like them, and other nations living in 2007 complaining that GATO are still terrible, etc etc. Haven't seen NSO yet, guess we'll have to wait for their party to arrive.
Nah, why bother? I mean, GATO lets their lackeys do their talking/fighting/acting for them, so ultimately, what is there to criticize? I'm sure CnG wouldn't have brought them into the fold unless they found the same potential in being their ally that we ourselves gave up on years ago. Sincere congrats to all involved, btw, and good luck.
 4. Who would you put in a dream team of Pacifican Middle Management? From past members, of course.
 5. It's funner to watch this stuff happen from the outside, isnt it?
 6.
Well TIO isnt really universally hated. GATOs still around and its been years since the NPO rolled them!
And they have yet to stop sucking in that entire period of time. Some things never change, I guess?
 7. Heya Kirkland. Basically, a lot of stuff changed, mostly the people involved. I'd be shocked if you recognized much of anything, or anyone, since you retired. Also, the NSO is presently the one Order that isn't almost universally hated. We're actually pretty damn awesome, it's got the closest feel to the NPO from back when you were playing.
 8. Thank you for finally enacting the most logical solution to this headache-inducing affair.
 9. Interesting. Perhaps I could finally have some air time?
 10. The Japanese call it Yandere, I think. But I may be wrong.
 11.
This is surprising.
I know, treaties as public declarations of friendship must come as a real shock to you.
 12. Wait. What the hell did I miss? o/ Tetris o/ NSO o/ ROLL KEAN
 13.
It appears you really like the sound of your own e-voice. That's about the best reason I can muster up to explain the sizable puddle of drivel you've just expelled. It also seems you've quite a fixation on me. Like I said, have fun!
Digging your head into the sand is always a wonderful course of action, my friend. By the by, since when does a single jab an obsession make? I suppose your definition does explain a great deal of your irrational grudge-holding. Oh, well. Have fun indeed, I'm off to acquaint myself with the here and now, instead of being bitter for two years about falling into a trap that everyone and their mother saw coming except you. Let me know how that turns out for you personally. I'm sure you could say that your alliance profited handsomely off of it...But then again, you hold no power in TOP, right? So really, I guess you had nothing to do with TOP's praiseworthy exacting of vengeance for past wrongs. Good going, LM and the rest of you guys, by the way. Excellent job. I don't think most of us could have pulled that off.
 14.
I think it's fairly sad that your attempt to insult TOP centers around someone who has deliberately absented himself from government for 18 months. But I guess it's not out of the question that you're one of those, err, very special individuals who think I'm still in power. Have fun.
Now, now, Crymson, surely you're aware that individuals that have been under a rock for the past 8 months don't know every detail of other alliances internal affairs. Of course, that'd only be relevant if you hadn't failed terribly in noticing that not once did I actually make that mistake of referring to you as an individual of relevance...I mean in power. I was simply facetiously mocking you. It's funny you should mention being special, by the way. Because, in a way, you and I are very much alike. Whereas I, and the NSO in general, obsess with seeing reality for what it is, and acting within it's confines to achieve our aims in the most logical means, you stubbornly insist on the exact opposite, and always pick a viewpoint or course of action contrary to what's plainly obvious to everyone else. In that way, we're both innovative, both special. Only in opposite directions. A bipolar similarity by contrast, one could say? I kid, I kid. I mean, after all, you're one of those very special individuals who hold your opinion in high regard, and goodness knows that that's never backfired before. Well, once again, my sincere congratulations to PF for forming, and I'm sure you're headed for nothing but success, after all, as Crymson said, he has deliberately stripped himself of any power to screw things up for you. Which I think is a very admirable thing to do. Bob Janova, I look forward to your voice of reason delivering only good news about this bloc to these parts. And hey, my offer still stands.
 15. In which case, Janova, I wish you all the best of luck. It's refreshing to not see some kind of pointless posturing in the formation of a bloc for once. Or from you for that matter. But still, good to see. Good luck in whatever it is you plan on doing. Ah, right, in case I missed it, do you lot have a public IRC channel?
 16.
Grämlins should probably put a sign on the door that says "please leave all TOP-NpO drama at the door." Which alliance do you belong to, dude? Yeah, thanks for answering my question; with all this Polaris crap I was curious as to whether Polaris has been plotting against TOP or if TOP is hellbent on the 3rd Polaris curbstomp in 3 years now that they finally hitched their wagons to more ambitious alliances again.
If PF is to be one more vehicle for 4-yr-old grudgematches then whoopdy-doo. Congrats to Grämlins for allowing yourselves to be enlisted in other people's crap again, too bad for tainting yourselves Basketball Ninjas, merge into TOP Argent, and why go to the trouble TOP DH would gladly have done it and saved the trouble of a new bloc. The first impression is the one that counts and frankly I'm underwhelmed. I see no definition for existence except TOP and TOP's extra-PF allies hooting about NpO again, and a bunch of other cool yet unremarkable alliances allowing thimselves to be co-opted. One can only hope that Grämlins' sense of honor is once again a thorn in the side of their more cro-magnon allies. We've done 2008. Give me something new. The Cult of Justitia could roll Polaris, it's not an accomplishment. On a more positive note: I lol'ed. The stats might be close but there are more brains in Bob Janova's pinky than in all of PB. No competition.
Then transplant us Sith and give us some serious muscle to work with for once. Hey, Crymson, you already know that the NSO is good at pointing out potential military disasters before they happen, right? Sounds like something you could really use. And hey, we've got no baggage this time around. Drop us a line at our forums, and maybe we can work something out.
 17.
Look me up when you get in my range, Chron.
We both know that's never gonna happen unless you get nuked into oblivion. We'll simply have to resort to using our wits to do battle. Which naturally means you'll wind up losing nigh-instantly.
 18. Theyre fixed now, however. But damn Lintwad needs to stop doing that. I think.
 19. Ooooh, I can't wait to see GOD try and roll us. Don't leave me waiting at the altar again, Xiph!
 20.
Come on, we ain't all bad.
Speak for yourself. Welcome to the Order, folks! I never thought I'd see the day I would be sharing an AA with shaneprice and ironchef.
 21. Yes, but prior to 2008, CBs came rapidfire, as 50K players with larger alliances were more willing to take risks. You actually had people who would do things that actually created a CB. The problem was, the community decided that one of these need to be present into eternity, because *gasp* Admin Forbid "I dont like you and your alliance" be used as a reason for war. So then I take it your favorite CN Leader was Ivan Moldavi's stint at the head of Pacifica?
 22. Oh god. That you talk about irony and use something like that as an example is just too much, since you seem to have forgotten what turned TOP's ire towards you in the first place.
 23. So...basically, aside from some of the names, nothings changed since I've been away? Cool.
 24.
Do what? Congratulate an alliance on their FA moves? Im not sure where you're going with this.
Yes, honestly, sometimes people need to stop trying to read between the lines and accept goodwill at face value. Sometimes folks around here are just way too high strung.
