1. I have to say congrats for upgrading to some classier allies, Legacy. My hat's off to ya.
 2.
Son, sure it may be crap when it comes to getting ganged up on in a war, but it's one of the very few alliances where the people are in it for the community, not really for the game itself. We can be the 'Worst Alliance Ever' to you, we'd be happy to fulfill whatever you wish to believe. If you're nice to us, we'll be very friendly because we're relaxed people and always happy to have a good time, if you're not, then that's okay we'll just leave you be with your opinions. In the end, the people who think they're too good that they have to go out and troll alliances for no reason (and lets be honest, it's not like GATO actively rubs alliances the wrong way), well honestly, they're probably the most socially awkward people because they care a little bit more about power, nation strength, and of course arrogance, then we do. (Nothing wrong if people want to that, maybe it's fun playing that type of character?) Lets face it, no matter how high you are in the game, it's really not that impressive.
Oh come, now. That can't be left unanswered. GATO has long been considered WAE (losing out recently to Legion, I hear?) for a multitude of reasons, all of them being self-inflicted. I'll say this much, however; Just because you're friendly people when others come to make friends with you, doesn't mean you're any less spineless when push comes to shove. The day GATO gets to criticize anyone for a lack of integrity or a presumably random treaty cancellation is still quite a ways off. Having a short memory just means you and your community are doomed to repeat the same mistakes in the future. Although, ironically, I am on your side here. Good show on IAA's part, and I wish them all the best in the future.
Anyone can spin a situation to sound bad, and that war GATO went above and beyond its call of duty and IAA recognises that, that's all that matters. You should check out GATO's embassy and start posting around, you might start to like us idiots
Well, it's nice to know you'll do that for someone. Maybe one day you'll break out of your shell and join the rest of us in this larger world, you know, maybe make some more friends so you'll have fewer people laughing at you. But it's been awhile, so maybe I'm just out of touch, this has already happened, and I just missed it?
 3. Hope you didnt burn yourself, Cheyenne. And yes, I shall get there, Ken and Elrich.
 4. Hello again, Planet Bob, it's been awhile (again), and I just finished an 80s montage preparing for an epic bout with Apollo Creed. Which actually was pretty awkward, since exhuming a deceased fictional character is a rather tricky endeavor, only to punch him out. Thankfully there are no laws covering the desecration of fictional remains. At any rate, I'm back (again), and ready to slap everyone silly with my own particular brand of commentary. New and improved Chron, now with a lemony scent for when you want your threads smelling nice and fresh!
 5. Ill have to ask you what it's like when you get back. I just finished my 80s montage getting qualified for the Navy myself.
 6.
Needing Archon to "save us" implies we were in danger.
From yourselves, clearly. I mean, who was the one about to start an aggressive war again?
 7.
Sorry, I would have resorted to dumping logs but that just seems to be the thing to do these days and I like to stay fresh.
I...see. Because relying on playing on folks goodwill towards your one member to cover for you is...original?
No, he does that himself without your prompting.
I'm amazed that Ivan brings people over to our side to begin with.
Archon isn't retired. Nice try though. Also, if there was ever a time to trott out Ivan, I would seriously hope appealing to the better nature of people isn't your idea of when best to. Finally, I'm certainly open to hear who exactly we've alienated.
Really? You're honestly going to argue that Archon is running the day to day operations? Very well then. And as for examples, how about the fact you royally irked AirMe, who called you out consistently in RV's thread.
 8.
Coming from NSO, this is surely a joke.
I don't seem to recall any instances of us trotting out Ivan from the retirement pasture just to try and appeal to the better nature of folks who we've alienated with our shenanigans.
 9.
Don't be dense, Heggo.
Im just amazed that you consider running to Archon to clean up your mess before !@#$ hits the fan to be some kind of exercise in political skill. Don't be dense? How about you stop riding other people's coattails?
 10. I, for one, am a bit disappointed, Archon. Not just in the disingenuous tone you've taken in those post. But the fact that you've made your presence known only for the sake of exploiting your hard-earned friendships in order to bail your subordinates out of a sizable PR debacle. How underwhelming, I didn't know you considered your friends to be so cheap.
 11.
Well, technically speaking, RV can be overruled by the Emperor.
Oh that's very true. I had forgotten.
 12.
If you're fine with it, why all the complaining? Why not get down from the cross? I believe that's mhawk's territory, anyway.
What cross? Youll need to point it out to me. From where Im standing the one who was trying to nail us to something was you lot.
I'll let you in on a secret. Posting a whole load of incomprohensible drivel that no one understands does not make you clever or gifted, it just makes you an idiot.
Yes...Youre so close now. Just a little further and you should be able to get it. It must be like looking into a mirror for you.
 13.
How's that working out for you?
We seem fine with it. But hey if you dont like it you're free to do something about it.
No, really. What you said makes absolutely no sense.
I know. Now just apply a bit more critical thinking and you should be able to figure it out. I hear you MKers dont need your hands held for the difficult stuff, right? This shouldn't be a problem.
 14.
Maybe, just maybe, you guys should grow up, get over yourselves, and actually attempt some diplomacy rather than being intentionally difficult to work with in any discussion. Every single diplomatic conflict NSO has been involved in has been a result of your own childlike desires to somehow 'stick it to those new hegemonists'. The funny thing is, the only damage that has been dealt because of those tactics is to your own alliance.
How unexpected, that we play hardball in wartime negotiations when we're presented with options that we find unsavory. And intentionally difficult to work with in any situation? Now you're just lying. I mean, just because we dont waste our time being cordial with you when you're being my idols to us, doesn't mean we're the same way to anyone else thats willing to give us the time of day. How ignorant of you, to base things only on your own limited perspective.
what
Hey I was responding to what you were saying, you tell me.
 15.
Hey, guess what. Pointing out the alliance he belongs to (which is entirely valid, as it gives insight into his character and what he will and will not condone from the alliance he is a part of) was just one of several points refuting his claims.
Similar to how pointing out your alliance affiliation will make it clear that, as someone who is supporting the clear aggressor in this situation, you are an individual who has no argumentative credibility whatsoever. I like it. We should use that more often.
 16.
There is a high degree of subjectivity in any discussion of what constitutes reasonable or unreasonable compensation and negotiation. Oh, please. You know as well as any other that whether the mention of military matters entered the discussion or not, the disparity between MK and NSO would have still influenced the capacity for both parties to meet their respective goals from the negotiation. There's no way around that. Again, you make the false assumption that our ability to roll NSO automatically translates into an intention to roll NSO if our original demands were not met. That is quite a leap, and just plain ignorant.
Yeah, because we totally didnt learn our lessons the last few times we didn't take off the cuff threats seriously. Ha. First we're naive, then we're paranoid? Figure it out.
 17.
[s]You can't[/s] It's inappropriate to hold MK responsible because NSO suffers a vertebral deficiency. If they had even a modicum of fortitude or self-respect away from the limelight nobody would have ever even heard of this. Instead they danced around simple questions to piss us off and then went public. NSO is an alliance that cannot be communicated with by anybody on the "opposite side of the web". It isn't for a lack of our trying. Every effort to get questions answered is deliberately resisted. Every suggestion or request is trumped up to extortion. Every reasonable and expected request flatly denied. And every time they do it you defend them, encourage them, condone them. I for one am sick of it. They chose not to negotiate and operate in anything resembling a professional manner. Our demands are our demands. I want a straight answer from NSO, knowing I'll never get it. Yes or no?
Oh get over yourself. Ashok and Kevin may not have been the most experienced negotiators, but outright claiming that our internal guidelines regarding membership status "don't matter" when discussing a person's membership status, and then having the sheer gall to claim that we were the stubborn ones? Either find a dictionary or get a clue. Clearly you're using words without knowing their definitions. Especially ironic given just how far your foot is inserted into your mouth.
 18.
Except we wouldn't go around knocking on doors for money if somebody deleted, or even if the nation in question withdrew, apologized, and offered to pay the money back. Those aren't the facts here. Here we had an individual deliberately and knowingly perform a wrongful act. He flew the NSO flag. He was masked on their forums. Any reasonable eye would draw the conclusion that he was a member, and thus he enjoyed their protection. If NSO doesn't want to be responsible for somebody they should take measures necessary to remove the illusion of protection. It isn't hard to do. The people complaining about how they'll never trade with MK after this are the kinds of people who avoid trading with MK already.
...And yet we did. And your response was to threaten us with war when we did do so. So...Yeah. I mean, you can try to spin it, but literally no one buys it. The ones whod be convinced are laughing at the stunt you pulled, regardless of how stupid your argument is, and the rest are openly facepalming at the fact you're getting away with making such an absurd justification. Honestly. Hegemony is no excuse for degradation of quality.
 19.
It really is sad that people actually believe this these days, because of loud mouthed scum bags like yourself.
What's really funny is how for all your talk of "not being as bad as them", you intentionally dont do anything to disprove that impression.
 20.
I've never seen so many people simultaneously indignant and relieved, and I've seen some pretty big crowds. An appropriate reparation is not measured by its equivalence to the damage caused. It is measured by its ability to deter the violation in the future. A proper reparation will include both compensatory damages and punitive damages, at least here on the small scale. The former of those two types becomes impossible on the large scale (global war reparations). Here an individual, protected by NSO for all intents and purposes, deliberately gamed multiple nations to his own benefit. It is only appropriate that he pay something back to every individual wronged, and then some. NPO imposes viceroys and wipes multiple alliances from this plane of existence. MK demands punitive damages. Therefore, MK equals NPO. That's some math there, boys.
Really? Where was this? I mean, is there logs floating around with someone with the authority to contradict the folks you spoke with saying we would protect him? Otherwise, I would have to you say you're quite full of it there. The point is that he isn't protected by the NSO, never was being protected by the NSO, and we're paying up anyway, because of pretty blatant threats to face military action over a lost trade partner. Speaking honestly? I expected better of you people. Especially bros. Im kind of disappointed that he was involved in this blatant lack of class.
 21.
This reminds me of a contagious rash... you put soothing cream on the problem and it gets worse... you try to medicate the problem and it turns into a nasty plague... It is important to address the coercive and deceptive practices of those who try to hide behind a wall of unity and abstract diplomacy. The issue is not with the NPO in general, it has to do with how it carries itself... How so? Rub a stick of TNT on sandpaper and tell me what the results are...
... I am astounded at the ridiculous assertions you're making without any clarification or rationalizing your criticisms of the style. Nor even providing examples of what your railing against, you're simply assuming that your broad characterizations are an "absolute truth" that need not be supported by...anything really. Truly astounding. So much written, and yet so little said.
 22.
And the one thing left in the box was hope. The similarities with the Initiative are striking, actually.
Im glad someone else noticed that rather than continuing to make ridiculous comparisons to Continuum.
 23.
What can we do to help?
No idea, unfortunately I don't have my fingers in enough pies to draw the disparate opposition groups under my control. A person can't win a game of chess without knowing what pieces he has to work with, or if his pieces aren't interested in doing what he tells them, etc.
