However as to your second remark, if he was randomly posting defamatory things about a situation that was relatively normal and he knew nothing about, then yes there would be very little class involved. But that's not the case is it? This situation is far from normal, Shane has been privy to all the details, and has felt the impact of it much more then most. How is it classless for him to express outrage over a state of affairs this bizzar? His statement is not lacking class, but passing judgment on it when you do not have the slightest idea what the viewpoint is from his shoes is. ...or you can just keep posting things because it seems to you like the type of comment you should say.

This. However it is important to note that the only reason this thread is here is because some people use the whole "OCC/IC" thing as a scape goat for in game action. I really cant see how anyone can think that name calling and whatnot actually hurts someones feelings so bad that their inherent sense of justice forces them to take action in a computer game (obviously some things cross the line but I don't think anyone on either side of the coin would dispute that). Fact is, this discussion has to take place because the practice of getting outrageously offended and using information that's entirely unrelated to this game is common when someone does not have a better way to execute their goals...only if they are in a position to do so. Its here and it will take a lot to get rid of. As has been seen quite a few times, someone who on one hand can be morally outraged over someones words can then turn around and do the same thing them selves. Standards applied to some people for saying one thing are not applied to someone else for saying something very smiler strictly because of their position, proving that no one really gives a rats $@! about this fabled line and its really only a tool. For example: 1.IRON leadership cited telling someone to "go die", or something to that effect, as part of the reason for (continued) EZI. 2.GGA leadership tells someone they can "eat @#$% and die" ...logic says that whoever made comment no. 2 should be listed as EZI, seeing that this is a clear and present in game danger... Personally I would find that to be ridiculous, but because of this fabricated line it should be applied just as it was in the past if it is a valid cause for extreme action in an online game. Think that will happen? No.

I think those who have expressed concern with your statement before are only doing so because the way it came out the first time, it sounded much more like an accusation then a bit of general advice. If you do however have any issues that need to be addressed, please contact a member of the Viridian Parliament and we will be happy to hear your concerns. James Wilson does not speak for GDG or VE and is merely expressing his own opinion on the matter so therefore any past threads by Viridia literally have absolutely nothing to do with his statement nor the sentiments he expressed...

Its sick that the above is actually an accurate statement. There are some alliances that exhibit the qualities you listed, but until then good luck getting peace.

It would be an offense against any alliance signed, not just PC (despite the fact they are the most vocal in this thread)...

Evil or good has absolutely nothing to do with it, you could be a Saint but if your alliance makes good on their expressed threats and attitudes in this thread then you would undoubtedly be in the wrong.

In my opinion, TPF's treaty list does not make their action, if they intentionally provoke war, moral. While it may look that way sometimes, might does not make right...only being right does. TPF at the onset would undoubtedly be in the wrong, whether or not the signed pink alliances have enough support to win a war or not.
