  1. Alas, no he didn't. He spied on President Hardin, a former SDS government member who is still in this AA, which is largely (possibly entirely, I don't know all the members) composed of ex-SDS government.
  2. The Final Countdown is the alliance that Sir William spied on when it was aiding rogues hitting Kashmir. Non Grata cited this spy attack in its DoW on Kashmir. Connect the dots.
  3. Let's see if Non Grata gets involved in this one.
  4. I don't know a single thing about what is happening here, but from what I remember of Freelancer I definitely conclude that reducing his role in your alliance's government is always a good idea. Therefore I support this move.
  5. Last Call and Kashmir have been allied since our formation. Last Call was created by a merger between Javahouse, Anarchy Inc. and The Sandwich Confederation. Javahouse and Kashmir were also allies, and in fact launched wars together. We don't have a formal treaty but you don't need that to consider yourself allied. If you think launching a war that has us lined up against nearly all of Oculus constitutes a war of convenience, I have to laugh in your general direction as well. Or perhaps you think we're a lot bigger than we actually are. Admittedly, if Oculus had decided to abandon Polar, we'd probably be bragging now. But we didn't really expect that to happen.
  6. Attacking uninvolved protectorates (let's be honest here; the DMFA war isn't a raid) has been a DBDC practice. Neither Kashmir nor Last Call, nor any of our predecessor alliances, have taken part in that kind of activity. Nearly everyone in this war, on both sides, has some kind of connection to Doomsphere. Most of Oculus, including Non Grata, has a relationship of some kind with DBDC. Incidentally, neither Last Call nor Kashmir have a DBDC connection. So I don't quite see how we get to be the ones blamed for precedents set by DBDC actions.
  7. Jack Layton wasn't involved in the whole COBRA-GOONS debacle. You have an awful lot of paranoia concerning him.
  8. It wasn't a joke. You need to learn who you're dealing with.
  9. There are 634 Red nations, 331 of them are in Pacifica. This isn't the Moldavi doctrine; they aren't threatening anyone in the other 303 nations with war if they dare to form alliances on Red. It's simply a reflection of basic facts, there aren't any other large organized alliances on Red now. The odds of them restarting the other Moldavi doctrine, the one about tech raiding on Red, have to be seen as pretty slim given they're allied to people who still boast that they were Red Safari founders in their signatures.
  10. Well... When Coven was at TPF, that was probably the time when comms were best between Invicta and TPF. But that's a long time ago now, and before Nas' time anyway.
  11. Yeah, he's pretty consistently stood for faux libertarian values for the last several years.
  12. They cancelled that treaty way before the NPO-Invicta relationship broke down.
  13. Don't be silly, we both know that TPF would have outsourced any tactical decisions to LiquidMercury and done whatever he told them to do, no matter how crazy it seemed.
  14. Yeah. It does. The war you're fighting is the one which started when Polar attacked his alliance.
  15. It's 2016, there are no coalition leaders, just a bunch of folks fighting it out. Probably a perfect environment for folks like Red and me (although it does appear that he's taking your proclamation seriously...)
  16. I have to say that when Invicta first used this ability to shift Alliance Affiliation, I don't think I could have possibly predicted this sequence of events.
  17. You were attacked because you sided with "permazi for wartime recruits" MI6. An enemy alliance.
  18. Let's just say that the history of who actually is SDS has been sort of complicated by the whole business of Non Grata using SDS as a CB.
  19. So is this the NG-protected-SDS you're merging with, the one that started the war with Kashmir, or the other SDS? As far as I can tell the one fighting Kash is still all on The Final Countdown AA.
  20. Definitely so far the ruler with the most impact.
  21. It depends on the agreement with the protector. Some protectors have this as a requirement, but not all. Protectors usually prohibit mandatory defence treaties, but optional defence is common.
