1. If only I was low enough to raid one of those nations... Put this protection to the test
 2.
yes it does
doesn't stop the fact that it makes him look like a crybaby !@#$%*
 3.
GOD cancelled on GOONS.
shows you how much I cared to skim
 4.
This is utterly ridiculous Xiphosis. Now first, a clarification. I am not in any way denying your right to choose your allies or your right to cancel on who you wish, such an argument would be blatantly hypocritical in light of what I am about to say. No, what I'm going to remark on is your controlling and callous nature that led you down this path, and "forced" you to take this action. What gives you the right to decide the FA path of others? I say this because you explicitly told me that you expected me to prevent the TOP/MK treaty when you canceled on us. Your actions imply that you see no problem with forcing not only your allies to conform with your views, but our entire side. I couldn't and can't control what MK does, and even if I could, it wouldn't be right for me to do so. What you asked of us was too much, too far. Beyond the moral impossibility of what you ask, who are you to judge who is worthy of being on our side? As the leader of an alliance which was given a second chance I believe that everybody has the right to them; nobody is beyond redemption. Who are you to deny the mere possibility that an alliance has changed or mended their ways? Why is your view superior to MK's in deciding their own policy? I for one choose freedom. The freedom to choose my allies, but only just, never choosing allies for my allies. That does not mean I would not give advice, advising against treaties that I felt would be to all of our detriments, but you know as well as I do that's not what you did. You laid out an ultimatum, a thing you sometimes claim so fervently to hate. You told MK "them or us". If there was any doubt in MK's mind at this point, you erased it. Your brash actions made the treaty that you fought so hard against come that much quicker. So the treaty was posted, shortly thereafter you canceled on us. I don't believe for one instant that this was merely about not wanting to be tied, however indirectly, to TOP. After all, our treaty is non-chaining, and the links from you to TOP through us is just one less alliance hop than from you to NPO. This was about power for you, it always was. You saw one of the alliances of your "side" disobeying you, and could not punish them directly, so you came to us. Wonderful. It is clear to me now how little empathy you have for your allies, you merely wish to assemble a perfect collection of alliances. A wise man once said to treat people as ends, not merely as means to an end. Well Xiph, you are treating all of us as means to your end. I hope you realize how you treat people and mend your ways. -Sardonic, GOONS Pilot
Then ummmmmm, cancel without the little orphan annie diatribe? I agree with why you're doing it and all... just sayin' that it makes you look like a crybaby !@#$%^
 5. Been there, done that. The biggest problem I had was that iOS SDK 4 doesn't manipulate asp tags very well post-parsing. This weeds out any custom information you could add-on to the site, making the app just as functional as the page itself outside of any static equations you put on a app frame. Do it in C++/C# or a greasemonkey js addon. It's so much easier and by far more functional. Then you can do fun stuff like adding/changing custom info via DOM, collect/save data from the webbrowser and then add calculators. edit: I suppose the Droid dev tools would be more effective given they're based on java and you don't have to rely too much on third-party programming to get things done. I don't have a droid and don't care as a result.
 6. I give this alliance six months before damsky abandons the idea for something better. Be prepared for disapointment.
 7. Sounds pretty gay and way too much effort for something so inane. have fun I guess
 8. Fark left SF but signed MDoAP's with all alliances involved prior to their departure. Not really a sekret given how disseminated the information was to SF alliances and the leaks in-between. All other alliances are irrelevant so an OWF announcement wasn't made.
 9. This thread has reminded me that I need to watch the end of the 5th season of stargate atlantis. So if you'll 'xcuse me....
 10.
(And I will go on the record to say that I thought then -- even as I was in NpO -- and still do think that Shark Week was the Best Thing Ever(tm) and if that makes me immoral scum then so be it.)
Shark week was the shiiat. Forums are meant to be a scary thing to post on anyways. I don't think that makes you immoral, but a realist.
 11. The Bilrow death pool started on the GOONs forum after the unjust war started and it was apparent we were going to loose. Everyone was still butthurt, which led to the most hilarious "wtf" comments I will ever read.
 12.
So, you believe that free speech is now a valid reason for war? That people should be attacked because they voiced disagreements publicly? Because they say something you don't like? I don't know about you, but I fought for over a year, personally, to put an end to that kind of stuff. I'll be damned if I see that practice revived anytime soon.
NSO: Freedom of Speech when convenient. Say anything you want, because we're just joking anyway. I got nothing else because I don't read this !@#$ anymore
 13.
i do have to agree that it would have ended sooner than the TOP/Co-CnG war did. also my personal feelings on what IRON did to NSO was basically let them burn anyways, since they did not hit Fark at all and that was where NSO needed help. they instead hit CnG, which led to NSO burning anyways.
I think NSO knew they were going to get burned during the next curbstomp shortly after Frostbite bit the dust. Anyone who didn't see that coming needs their prescription checked.
 14. I thought about wearing a name tag once. Then, I realized I wanted a better job than Best Buy/Wal-Mart cashier. I'm Just sayin' ...

 22.
By allowing this without opposition, it gives alliances in the future much to fear if CN becomes a who can-do-what-whenever-they-want-to and potentially hold alliances hostage for as long as they feel. In the end, this will be more than just about this current war but it will about what are the actual limits and what is acceptable for one alliance to demand of another in terms of surrender. Surely this situation stretches that fine line even thinner.
oh dear god. Heaven forbid somebody does something you don't agree with. Because individuals can't have independent thoughts or anything.
 23. Now if only we could get polar to go rogue
 24.
It's evident that people just won't let Caffine move on. The guy has noticeably changed his stance and attitude in regards to FA. Really, looking at the logs, it's hard to see where PC finds the grounds to make their claims that Caffine ruined the talks, or something. To the contrary, it's quite obvious that PC entered into the talks (Mostly starting with the Pezstar moderated log) with absolutely no intention of paying any reps. Why enter negotiations when you already know you won't pay? It's just a waste of time. Anyway, I'm not saying Caffine is an angel, or even that I'm an angel, but 99% of this stuff is people judging him based on actions that are very far in the past. I realize that the history of any given ruler has a serious impact on their current persona, but people DO change. (inb4 "Yeah, cuz ur nawt in teh hegemonoicalz posishun nemore soz u cant pushez peoplz around!2111!0") Anyway, I know Caffine would do the same, and probably has - to individuals at least, but I'm more than happy to do anything I can to make amends with those that I aggressively sought out in the past. Primarily NpO (Yes, we $%&@ed you over. I've said it countless times. I can't do anything else to make amends, can I?), Carpe Diem and the old Browncoats - they never deserved the negative attention I gave to them, and all that I can do is apologize again. Though, mostly BC, because it's one of the greatest themes any alliance has ever had. [OOC]Joss Whedon is god[/OOC] The point of my calling out those hailing PC for this thread is evident in the OP. Read it. Seriously. The OP is classless, without tact, and is merely bowing to the pressure of the OWF population, which is fine, but rather than actually admitting any wrongdoing, they halfheartedly admit that they made a mistake, then continue pointing fingers elsewhere, as if someone forced them to infringe upon a sovereign alliance.
I've had my own dealings with Caffine back in my government days and my own reasons why I won't let him move on. My bad opinion about Caffine comes from a primary source, rather than the secondary crap that most people are "privileged" to, but I understand where you're coming from. I do however see how Caffine could PO PC off so much that they had to make it a point on that couldn't be relayed anywhere else but the OWF. I was that angry + more on more than one occasion and as a result; developed a distaste for Echelon that took over a year to stop caring about. On that note, you seem to be a pretty intelligent guy and a credit to your alliance. And that's saying alot on the OWF. Please carry on.
