1. Honestly I'm rather surprised the treaty lasted this long anyway. I asked Adel if we'd be cancelling any time soon just yesterday...
2. This is definitely good, and I will be donating. I'll also try and push it towards my members.
3. Congrats! Also, first OWF announcement of February 2012
4.
So instead of helping the situation, you decide to take Joe and harbor him on your AA. Yeah, RoK is real lucky to have you.
When you reported that Joe was on our AA, not only did we check to make sure that he was not on the AA right now, we also went back to check to see when the last time he was on our AA. I personally update our roster daily, due to the Finance system maintenance. You are correct, he did ghost us for approximately two hours a few days ago, the entire time of which I was on IRC and able to field questions. Surprisingly enough, the leader, Adel, asked to join us as a member, and was a member for approximately 24 hours before returning to her home in Ragnarok. The reason I'm able to tell you this is because I actually just finished up my January report for the Hive mind. As for luck, I wouldn't call our friendship luck. Luck is what NSO and RoK had. Luck is what Fark and RoK had. Luck was Mjolnir. Luck ran out, we didn't.
5. We are wise, this is why I am in The Combine!
6. Also, would anyone be interested if I began retroactively working on this? I can go back as far as May 2011 without any difficulty from my personal archives, and then begin importing the News from Yesterday. That means we'd have a really decent coverage of the past year plus. Thoughts?
7. I want to apologize to everyone for taking a couple weeks off of this due to some personal reasons. I'm back, It's back, updated, and ready to rock and roll!
8. I applaud Ragnarok on this, although I can actually believe that GPF was the one who cancelled this, as they didn't like being told what to do (pay tech that was hung over from the TDE merger).
9. Enjoy retirement, Don't be a stranger, and all the obligatory o/ 's
10. From the Associated Press: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said he was postponing a test vote set for Tuesday "in light of recent events."
11. This is just delightful! Good thing is they cancelled on us instead of pulling a UPN and just not doing squat if/when we'd need em.
12. Good to see the religious crusade is over..
13. Isolde requested an embassy on The Combine's forums on January 8th. Due to what I would describe as a heated conversation in query between BloodFury and King Tower, where they elected to keep distance between the alliance, Bloodfury chose to deny the application, stating:
At this time with our current relations, I will step above me bounds on this one without discussing this with the rest of The Hive Mind, and deny your application to be a diplomat and receive an embassy. However you may feel free to contest this if you so wish, or reapply in a month.
Isolde responded, stating the following:
As you wish, If you could send a representative to our forums to discuss The emperors Boost program which was set up by Anson I would be grateful, as our members will no longer be available for participation is this program. Also should Anson desire for his own foreign official mask to be removed please have him PM me.
Seeing as the application thread is not a conversation thread, I split and moved these posts to a separate part of our forum visible only to government. Now, with the very recent confrontation between the leadership of TGE and The Combine, there is no surprise, I am sure to many, that we would like to keep our distance. As I am aware though, should Isolde have wanted to contact me or any other member of The Combine government, I am certain that there is a Private Messaging system on these forums, as well as in the game. If the intention was truly to get to the bottom of this, I think there is no question that none of us would be here as this post would not have been made. Now, Isolde, you've stated that ya'll weren't sure the details of the program, etc., as has King Tower. Perhaps, before striking out against others, it would behoove you to check your own forums.
14. At the time that I appointed you as Minister of State Affairs, in the Finanzen Statte (our finance area), there was a section referring to tech deals. Inside that section, you would find a topic entitled Emperors Boost Program, or something that was worded very similarly. Furthermore, at the time that I appointed you to Minister of State Affairs, there was a publicly visible section on the forums entitled Public Announcement Archives. Inside that section was a copy of what exactly the Emperor's Boost Program is, well was, as well as Google Calendar links that outlined exactly what was supposed to be done and when. Also at the time that I appointed you Minister of State Affairs, there was no sitting Minister of State Affairs, there was an minimally active (as in he rarely checked into forums, or if he did he did not post hardly at all) Minister of Defense, there was a Minister of Finance who was not able to do his job due to the mystical thing called real life, so he was very inactive. Furthermore, President Orff, who was at that time the Chancellor, was sending out recruitment messages and processing admissions as they arrived. That left everything else for me to do. I am by no means complaining, so please don't misconstrue my statement as such. The purpose of the Emperor's Boost Program, as outlined in a government archive post, was to load the members with a bunch of cash, and then have them send out tech. Yes, I admit that I did not follow up with the members and keep on them to send their tech. For that I do apologize. However, as the Emperor (at that time this was my title), I represented the alliance to Ragnarok, Asgaard, and North American Confederacy, and possibly a couple more, with the express intention of acquiring buyers to send the cash. I did guarantee to the buyers that The German Empire, not Anson ruler of Texas, would guarantee their tech, as you suggested should happen in this quote:
Now we know that many promises were made to alliances such as RoK, Asgaard and the like to furnace them with tech if they injected a certain amount of $$$ to our selling nations. However this "boost" program was underwritten by our former Emperor and is not upheld or endorsed by the current government. If you have issue with non delivery take it to the Broker. The agreements and promisary notes were signed off by our previous emperor, a man who wrote into our citizens code that we as an alliance would not be accountable for deals that went down the pan. I therefore ask that those alliances and nations who are still owed tech pm me with the facts and figures owed so I can either enable the dealings to be completed or more preferably I suggest you approach Anson yourself and get him to personally recompense you for your troubles as it was he who guaranteed them be filled.
As for the charge of Peace Mode after declaring on RIA, I declared on RIA at the urging of the Prussian House of Lords, which, if memory serves correctly, is how it was done at that point. I was fully ready to go into battle in the name of the Germany I served. It was you, King Tower, herr Kaiser, that asked that I do not go into war, but rather, switch to peace mode. As for my resignation, I announced my resignation to the Prussian House of Lords on the 17th, and to the membership on the 18th. I announced that I would leave on the 24th. I left one day early as the transition process was complete. You yourself said that you knew everything that was going on, and yes, that's a paraphrase. So you are completely right, I did make mistakes during my time as the leader of The German Empire. I am accountable to my actions, and the statements that I make. Are you?
15. Late to the party, but congrats none the less!
16. It has come to my attention that I have yet to o/ us. So, o/ When you DoE with over 1mill strength, that sets a nice tone for the alliance. Cheers peoples.
17.
I was more referring to established alliances :v
Are you referring to ya'll as established? What defines established?
18.
Look at all the haters =D We're doing it right! O/ GPF
Let me see if I understand this right; First, an alliance claiming they protect the globe is protected (ironic, but I’ll go along with this). Second, your second in command believes that enemies are an indicator that you’re doing something right (let me remind you about GGA and TGE, to name just two). Third, your Minister of Defense has been a leading member of a rather high number of failed alliances (I’m parroting this information from numerous previous postings) I know this isn’t baseball, but these three facts are rather tough to overcome. So you’ve been around for 47 days, and you’ve amassed 51 members. Not bad, not bad at all, in theory. Of your 51 members, only 22 of them have Foreign Ministries. That means that 29 of your members can only conduct 4 tech deals at a time. Remember, tech deals make your nations stronger. I took the liberty of doing some basic calculations. You have 232 Foreign Aid slots total. You’re only using 52 of them. You realistically only have 10 buyers, so that means 41 sellers. That’s 56 slots for buyers, so 176 slots for sellers. IF you had all of your buyers conducting 3/50s, your alliance would make 14,000NS every 20 days, just from them. Going with that same 3/50 rate, that means your sellers are losing out on $380,160,000 in profits. Just imagine how much stronger your alliance would be if it was even minimally active (and your Finance person did the job). If you say that the war is inhibiting your selling capability, I say BS! Of the well over 200 alliances in this game, MAYBE 50 are in the war. Put a little effort into this, buds. Your #6 nation, 28k NS, doesn’t even have nukes. In fact, that dude has almost 7:1 infra:tech, and don’t tell me it’s because of war, cause he has 0 casualties! So yes, I sympathize with all those who have called for you to disband. Your alliance is neither economically nor militarily equipped.
19.
Color: White The College of Winterhold (TCW) - #TCW
You're added to the Wikia page: http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Alliance_forums_and_IRC_list
20.
How does a 15 nation alliance protect a 1 nation alliance with 3.0 NS strength
I too am scratching my head..
