1.
Where's the "angry steamrolling mob"? I like the straightforwardness of this but just remember that actions (or lack thereof) often speak louder than words.
I'm concluding you're referring to hello19, and my question is "Why can't we stagger?" I personally prefer having staggered attacks so that it does more damage.
 2. Replied to a quoted post before I finished the thread.. Here's what it was:

No no no, don't avoid the question mate, just answer it. The information Vlad has gained is classified, period.
Seriously, wut? How the heck do you think that anything that you can gain from an in-game action, oh say, lobbing some spies from your nation at your adversaries to gain information that will help you defeat them, is classified? I don't seem to be able to grasp your reasoning here. Perhaps you might be caught up on the word "warchest" so let me adjust it for you just a smidgeon. When Vlad sent out his in-game spies, which is a mechanism of the game, to gain information from the opponent that he's fighting, he wanted to know how much financial surplus they had in their nation so that he could know how much longer they'd hold up. During "normal" war (Alliance v. Alliance) I'm confident that this procedure is completed many times. So, are you butt hurt that the normal procedure of not posting every byte of information isn't being followed bere? Procedures change, bud. The way things are done change. I remember when the globally accepted tech deal was 3/150. Then I remember briefly when it was 3/50, and if someone did a 3/100 everyone scrambled to fill the seller up. That was just a change in the way things were done. Vlad decided to change the way things were done with his particular war. I doubt it can catch on in normal war fare, but why not let it happen in this smaller setting? tl;dr Explain to me since I'm missing it how in-game spy attacks against someone you're at war with = classified, when classified usually = forum sensitive information
EDIT: NPL, ya'll really should read the rules that your high gov alleges he posted. Gofast, you've posted a bunch of times in this thread since that order went out. Are you gonna be kicked just like Sarm?
 3.
If Nordreich drops your protectorate I am more than capable of singlehandedly raiding your alliance for as long as I feel like. You are welcome to try to steamroll me into the ground if that day comes. :v
I look forward to the fast approaching day where Nordreich drops us as their protectorate and signs us instead as an Mutual Defense ally.
 4. Evening, Rulers of Cybernations (and Legion, I suppose); Times have changed here in Germany. Our Empire is very different from what it was this time last year, it a completely different alliance. One of our laws and corresponding policies that I am most favorable to is that pertaining to Raiding. From our Constitution;
Article 11a: Raids against the Empire The German Empire neither has time nor consideration to inquire to a host alliance when an Imperial Citizen is raided. In this instance, the full force of the German Military will be dispatched to deal with the threat.
This is written into our Constitution because we believe so strongly in it. This was voted into law on September 9, 2011 Additionally, from our Citizen's Code;
Article 2: Tech Raiding The German Empire does neither endorse nor condone the practice of Tech Raiding by its citizenry. However, understanding that the practice is deeply rooted in the beliefs of some of our members, the Empire does not forbid the action. Should any person flying an alliance affiliation belonging to The German Empire conduct a Tech Raid, it is the right and prerogative of the recipient nation to utilize any means at their disposal to respond to the attack. During the Tech Raid, The German Empire will not support the raiding nation, nor will we protect the raiding nation from harm that comes as a result of their actions. The bottom line, and in not so eloquent terms, if our member is raiding you member, feel free to annihilate them, or any stop between. We do, however, reserve the right, to interject ourselves into the conflict if we deem the situation to be overly exaggerated, or otherwise out of hand, however we will only do so if we so choose. Should we interject ourselves, it would be merely as a mediator.
Bottom line, if your member raids us, we probably won't ask for reps or even bother chatting you up. We'll just get an angry mob together and steamroll the little punk who forgot to do his homework. Additionally, if one of our members is dumb enough to raid one of your members, feel free to pummel them into the ice age. That will be all! Anson // TGE Emperor
 5. Yes this is an intentional double post. It's for fluency. I've retro'd all of October.
 6.
STA OBR treaty cancelled - I thought it was an announcement of a LoA
I skimmed. Thanks for catching that.
 7. No real need to reply to this one, your call ultimately. The purpose of this post is to simply let the masses know about the next attempt at the News From Yesterday concept. http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/OWFNews This one at least as forethought. It's on wikia, so it can be maintained after I get exhausted with it.
 8. I was on IRC a little bit ago in the official Cybernations channel. I don't normally bother reading what's being said in the channel, rather I usually just lurk in there. For whatever reason however, I clicked into the channel. The following statement caught my attention though (note that I condensed the multiple lines into a single statement):
(+Baldr) it's a fairly slow moving game. The vast majority of the time, you don't do much of anything with your nation on a daily basis. My usual day is to pay my bills, check my aid slots to see if I need to send money for a tech deal or send a reminder about tech that's due. Once every 20 days, I do a collection. That's about it.
I think that this is true for all of the rulers who's nations are now buyer level. Seller level nations have a bit more interaction, but not by a whole lot. The game is not played within the confines of the website, but rather on the forums and in the communities of the alliances. That's something that new players often have a hard time grasping. When sending out your recruitment messages, if you have the extra space, perhaps you could include some tips about the game, as well as stressing that the website is only for the mechanics of the game, and that the real game is played in the community. How else could we help convey to new players this? EDIT: A loosely related thread is found by clicking here
 9.
Gopher is right, this game(in my honest opinion) is about politics and always has been as long as I've been around, not graphics. I see nothing wrong with the general idea, but I do however doubt it will have a great impact, no offense.
You're right, it probably won't have *great* impact. However, I break it down like this. If ten people each send out twenty welcome messages a week. and half of those welcome messages turn into retained nations. That's 100 players per week. As of right now, the game has 15,906 nations. So, if every week 100 nations remained in the game, in a month we'd have ~400 nations that stayed. If twenty people did this, it would be ~800. So no, it's not going to have a huge impact if it's just two or three people. It's a start.
 10.
^this.. this.. Defeatism. This is exactly what is destroying the game. Why not actually do something? Petition admin, start a movement, or even *gasp recruit new people from real life and other websites, and try and help out new arrivals. I am tired of complaining, I want action. Complaints without actions is just basically saying "I like to watch CN die".
Alright. You've made your case. You want action. Now, be the change you wish to see. Do action.
 11. Here's the message that I use: Note that this is just what I use, so please feel free to make your own. Also I open with either Morning/Afternoon/Evening depending on what CN time it is.
Afternoon! You just created your nation, so I wanted to give you some friendly advice. I remember when I created my first nation, and I know I would have been grateful for some. A few things to consider. You will get a lot of alliance recruitment messages. Think them over. Don't go with the one that offers you the most money. Most of the times they're just trying to buy your membership, and the money comes with some serious strings attached. Basically consider all your options, and don't be afraid to ask people questions about their alliance. Do your homework. Next thing is if you aren't already in Peace mode, and you aren't joining an alliance right away, switch over by going into the Edit your nation. As a new nation you'll get people who will "tech raid" you just because they can. The third useful thing is Tech Deals are extremely helpful to build your nation. The current rate is 3 million for 100 tech. Alliances can help you get more of them. Cheers! Anson
12.
did someone mention boobies and beer?
This is very relevant to my interests..
 13. You guys rock! I'm honestly glad I've gotten to know some of you, and look forward to getting to know more of you!
 14.
OT had an official vote on this and last i checked most of OT is now in HB so yeah
Like I said, it doesn't matter cause OT is doing it. EDIT for continuation: That would suggest that at least there was a discussion about it on some level, and someone said yeah we're doing this. My perception was simply that the leader and second in command didn't make a post in this thread. They may have been part of the entire planning purposes on their forums, I don't know. I just know that from what I as Joe Public Person can see, the only OT official who posted anything was LA, who is was the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Makes me wonder, that's all.
 15. So, I suppose it doesn't matter because OT is doing it, but I'm actually surprised no one came in here before me with this question: Where's the acknowledgement from OT hierarchy? The Minister of Foreign Affairs of an alliance making a merger agreement, ROFL! LA, not at all badmouthing you, I'm just looking at this and trying to understand why Czar Lazar or Alex didn't post in here, or even that there are no signatures for them on that OP. Both the leader and 2nd in command of the now collapsed OT are in TGE. Does that mean that they were coup'd and LA merged OT into HB? See why I'm surprised no trolls came out on this one?
 16.
I'll admit, this made me giggle. Congratulations on simultaneously making yourselves look awful and making legion look even worst.
This, and I am confused...
 17. This is a sad day for our protectors, I expect.. losing a good friend. Anywho, I'm glad to see honor shown in protecting them.
 18.
Some change to TGE please.
Color: Black The German Empire (TGE) - #germany
Thanks.
...and we need it updated from #germany to #TGECN Thanks a bunch!
 19.
What happens when two black holes meet?
Well, mathematically, two negatives multiplied become a positive. Two negatives joined become a larger negative. By that logic, If they merged Planet Bob would have if nothing else at least just one fail and not two. This just makes everything much worse, in my opinion. Cheers, though.
 20.
Only some? Strange.
Okay fine, many
 21.
try cutting it down to disbandments and reformations please.
Honestly I expect we'll be able to relatively quiet now.
 22. Greetings all; In an effort to at least play the part of being a respectable alliance, since I'm sure some still have their doubts, and since I honestly have no clue where we do and don't have them, I ask that any alliance that has an embassy on their forums of ours that if we don't check in by September 15, 2011 please close it. It is nothing against your respective alliances, it's just that I have no interest in overstretching our small Foreign Affairs team, and I personally have a lot of stuff that I have to make sure I do, so I cannot be running around to every embassy. I would have posted this in our other thread, but I believe this is important enough to warrant its own thread. Thank you for your assistance in this endeavor! Anson // TGE Chancellor EDIT for clarification: If a member of TGE does not post into OUR embassy on YOUR forums (if applicable) by September 15th, please close the embassy.
