1. Congratulations on the treaty. Also nice post, AvT. Edit: Punctuation...
 2. Always nice to see two fine alliances signing treaties. Congratulations.
 3.
Sure they aren't completely clean but I'd say easily 95% of it has been Arrnea. You must understand that as Brigade Chief, Arrnea has/had absolute power and authority per the (pretty useless in every way) charter, if we really didn't go along with his agenda, we'd be sacked out of gov for somebody that would be more loyal to his causes and interests. That was just a post-NsO kind of place in SOS. I didn't like many of the things (the whole trust test on you for example, Cata) and disagreed with many others but I still did it like any subordinate/underling would.
If you found the charter useless in any way, why didn't you change it when you were Brigade Chief? You were in that position long enough to press for a better charter, yet you kept the one Arrnea made.
 4.
...seriously?
^This. What a way to start this topic. Now you have the chance to see SOS getting rolled and all you start it with is this? *sigh*
 5.
This is kind of a bad example, due to this being one person that was not able to war due to economic reasons (we all understood and were able to handle the conflict without another in it) while most of SOS high gov (at DoW, since Arrnea doesn't seem to be leader anymore) is sitting in peace mode.
And you people think Arrnea was in PM during the 18 hours war because he was afraid to lose his precious NS? Not only is it that I can't recall Arrnea keeping out of the conflict (he was even in the initial wave), but also I can tell you that even if he had, it seems noone had a problem with it. But defamation is by no means better than hypocrisy.
 6.
USMC forgot the part where he hid in peace mode during the Tentacle Grape War too.
Now, I know people don't like Arrnea and call him a coward for hiding in PM, but you of all people should not come up with that one. You were the first to hit it in Tentacle Grape and are in it as I write this.
 7.
Woah, people are defending SOS? What on earth is wrong with you? It's the !@#$@#$ SOS Brigade.
1. I have my own history with SOS. Some others here have it as well. And it hasn't to be negative. 2. I'm part of a rather small alliance as well. I'm not keen on seeing our alliance getting rolled, just because some bigger alliance decided they hated our theme. Why should I not see this war as a diplomatic degeneration?
Here lays part of the problem with SOS. Arrnea designed most (if not all) in such a way it's very hard to impeach him. While on the other hand it is easy for him to just coup the current leader. If I'm not mistaken, it's not the first time Arrnea coupled himself back to leadership. Who says it won't happen again? I think those remaining members should just create a new alliance just like NsO have done and be done with Arrnea.
Arrnea has just ended his third term, after assuming the position after the founding of SOS, after a short intermediate rule of Elrich von Richt and then after Bern. From what I can say, Arrnea is not worse than those he replaced. And another split will not occur, as I don't think anyone in SOS sees the NsO as a role model of solving such issues. It led to one year of cold war and 18 hours of hot war. Also I doubt that there is strong enough factionalism inside SOS' membership. But I kind of agree that the charter of SOS is in need of some reforms.
 8.
Fascinating how an alliance leader can be so incompetent that they open the door wide open for enemies to stomp their membership, jump into peace mode to escape the consequences of their actions, and then let someone else lead the alliance through the disaster created. Hopefully Myrrh will treat SOS better, but I think the first thing that needs to be done once peace is declared is to eject "certain parties" from the alliance, and I'm sure SOS knows who I mean by "certain parties".
Well, if Arrnea is this incompetent, isn't him stepping down the first step towards something better? But yes, most here would prefer a violent overthrow and beheading... Please note here that the SOS charter asks for at least 50% of the membership to vote and 80% of the votes to be against the incumbent Brigade Chief, in order for an impeachment to succeed. So, as long as Arrnea isn't stepping down himself, it wouldn't be likely that he gets voted out of office.
 9.
So you have not been in the alliance for months, then why do you care? Or are you just butt hurt that someone spoke the truth and you can't handle it.
Because it is an eyesore to see someone talk who has obviously little knowledge on the subject? And just because one left the alliance, it doesn't mean one can just let others play down their achievements, especially not if Locke personally had a hand at it. But just continue to be ignorant of the truth...
 10. Can't say I'm really happy about the turn of events. Hope SOS comes out of this alive.
sos is quite possibly the worst alliance ever
There's worse out there.
This has got to be the slowest war thread I have ever seen. It needs more QQing from the attacked and arguing back and forth from both sides, insert some Moralism, and unleash the Trolls.
I don't think they'll come. SOS knows what they can gain from answering the trolls: nothing. Which isn't really anything worth going on the OWF and reply to this DoW or the endless queue of haters out there. Good Luck SOS. I think you're strong enough to survive as an alliance.
 11. Congratulations. Just the right way to go into winter.
 12. Congratulations to both sides for this. Every relation starts small, take care of it and let's see what the future brings.
 13.
Maybe I need to change it. Nobody would be willing to pay me that much. How about realistic odds and a lower bet.
I think you should lower it, not because nobody would take it at 200:1 odds (I'd still go with it, even for 400:1), but because this really is like free tech. Even if Legion wins, BTA isn't really doing much anyway and NSO, as well as NsO are both too stubborn to disband, even if all of them would get ZIed in the war. It's the very nature of their alliances that makes it impossible for them to disband just because of a lost war with Legion.
 14.
And now suddenly he's an applicant again, after having been on a POW AA (looks like he surrendered to NsO). That's honestly kinda $%&@ed up that you didn't even wait until the war was over, and are actually hitting POW nations.
Looks like the use of barrier troops and maybe he is now put into a penal company. At least, that's my guess...
 15.
I'll just echo this once more; An attack on Bernkastel is an attack on Europa.
Considering this was originally (and I think still) thought to be for the first nation of Tetris et al. if Europa joins the war effort, a war with Europa is no deterrent anymore.
 16. Oh my, what a discussion. Well, I'm just contributing because I'm a tech seller who doesn't pay much for the tech and who would like to see Bern nuked for nothing but pure Schadenfreude. I'd put up the same amount if any other (ex-)member of SOS (including myself) would be the target. Double the amount for any Brigade Chief (Does this mean sixfold for Arrnea and his three terms?). Therefor, I put another 50 tech up.
 17.
You're a good guy, looking forward to more posts from you.
Yes, Jens is a decent person, just in the wrong alliance.
 18.
Firstly, we were doing fine without the backup and with less ns to boot. Secondly, yeah 2 micros and one smallish alliance (NSO) vs 1 sanctioned alliance. Before just putting out stupid raw numbers like that, you might want to add a bit of logic?
Wasn't it the claim of so many here, that Legion could never use their numbers as they were terrible fighters? But way to go to admit that Legion actually can fight, if you need to get at least to 1v1 (in terms of nations/NS)... Edited for clarity
 19.
This backup makes me sad.
You make me sad... But, why do people complain about Legion only being numbers without efficiency and then it needs 5 alliances to get the work done?
 20.
Treating SOS Brigade is a death path? I'm bit clueless here which path Brehon has in mind. I don't see anything wrong with SOS brigade, especially after this what ever it is. But meh, it's NPO's choice.
This was an April Fools joke.
 21. Yay, congratulations to two years. I hope there are many years still coming and that this'll also end a Time of Troubles...
 22. These flags look really nice. Good luck, I'll be waiting for their first incorporation into a announcement (other than this).
