1. Well, normally, you need a nation in CN, then you need to get a bit of land on the map. Best chances are with land that has a [Free Nat.] there, as it means the people are willing to give it to new ones. Protectorates are up to the protector to cede, but just ask them. To take land from a nation proper is a bit harder and recquires to ask them and them to be willing to cede the land. Here it really is up to the individuals, as some might cede a bit, some don't cede it under no circumstances. Afterwards, you just need a Declaration of Existence, a Factbook would be clarifying how your nation is run. To contact people send a PM or go to #cnrp on IRC. That's what I think is the right way, but I'm no veteran.
 2. With the Grand Princess on a diplomatic visit, the Vice-Prince de Vicidalia and Comte de Marguarite took over. as he was not allowed to do much without the Grand Princess, he awaited her return, as someone had to strengthen the ties to the other South Americans. But sadly it didn't seem as if Louise would return soon... OOC: Are you really only asking republics? Or all countries?
 3. "The Grand Principality of Vicidalia extends its welcoming hand to this new nation and hopes that this will further stabilise our region. May Gallifrey prosper and may it help protect the good old order." -Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Grand Princess of Vicidalia
 4.
At Lynneth's technology level his missiles should have better range and tracking than anyone else's. With a few AWACS blimps fixed in it ought to be able to hit the opposition long before they have an opportunity to move into striking range.
Well, just to say, while Lynneth should be in 2031, I'm in 2000. And I think I can still give him hell, if he wants to come with Zeppelins, because there are terrain and tactics like spamming missiles to make him pay for the hubris of using Zeppelins. Though, I guess it won't change the fact that I'd get slaughtered by the massive difference in force on all other levels. I could just position a few missile batteries in the rain forest and he wouldn't be able to go over it, if he doesn't send in his ground force first, or he carpet bombs it with conventional aircraft. Both are way more expensive than me having the possibility to set up missile batteries. Theoretically, I would not even need to set them up, because Guyana would need to consider the mere possibility of me doing this, as I'm able to, and the cost of just one overlooked SAM is far too high. On sea, one could do the same wih submarines.
 5. A little bit uneasy about the fact that she had barged in at mealtime, Louise lowered her gaze. "I apologise for this sudden intrusion, but I thought that the state comes before my private matters." Then she took a seat. "Thankfully, I will take you up on your offer, if it isn't too much of a hassle for the chef." Unfolding her serviette over her lap, she covered her ultramarine dress to protect it from stains, as well as pure etiquette. Her restless mind settled for a bit, as the situation became somehow familiar for the first time. Altough there was a certain similarity between the greeting, Louise had experienced at the airport and the typical procedure of greeting high guests in Vicidalia, it was still not as reminiscient of the old order as this 'aristocratic' dinner. And while she waited for her plate to arrive, Louise answered Mme. Valentines last question. "Well, I conduct this for my personal reasons, but the country of Vicidalia feels that there may be some things to be cleared between our countries. You may know that I can't just welcome revolution with open arms, however, it is not healthy for the French to be a nation divided." After waving to one of her assistants, who then went off, she continued. "Also, may I know what the reason for said rebellion is? According to it's purpose, I may or may not accompany you on this."
 6.
If anything, I'd probably use it in a similar manner as AWACS airplanes, to coordinate combat airplanes, use as long-range radar and all that. Probably. There's likely no way I could make that thing SAM-proof. But then again, it's just a propaganda tool - Who wouldn't want to use a floating fortress to rain hell upon their enemies?
Well, it may be cool, until shot down by some Anti-air missile which is cheap in comparison. Most likely there are more effective ways to solve it, but it can provide some good propaganda and demonstrate the countries strength to its own population.
 7. Isn't it just an easy target for every SAM-battery? Or is there armor good enough to protect the Zeppelin, but not heavy enough to drag it down to earth?
 8. "Hereby we recognise the new state of Cambodia and welcome it to the world. May they be a new fine addition to it." -Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Grand Princess of Vicidalia
 9.
Past: Just dump it in the ocean, it's such a big place it won't make a difference. Present: Take it from the ocean and dump it into space, it's such a big place it won't make a difference. Distant future: !@#$, what now?
Even if you turn the whole world into garbage, it couldn't fill more space than it already does... -Pierre Armand, astrophysicist at the University of Charlottenbourg
 10.
I didn't say you couldn't, I was just trying to explain arexes's point better (or at least my interpretation of it).
Well, I see your point, but I'm still hoping that they manage to cleanse the name. For most people that were in SOS, the name has more connotations than just Arrnea and they may not want to give those up. I think SOS is aware that it'll be hard, but I wouldn't give up hope for SOS to get cleared of it's worst reputation, if they act properly.
Now, now Imperial Patricia. Play nice with the boys and girls over at NiceB. We don't want another flame war between SOS and an SOS fork. The public does not want another logdump of that scale. Just let it go, and we can all do more important things, like reclaim your own alliance name. Run along now. ^-^
Well, I don't think anyone wants that. I think NBA will get the reputation it deserves anyway. Though, Myrrh is not acting much better than any other former SOS Brigade Chief.
 11. Arriving at her room, Louise closed the door. Then she sighed and sat down on her bed, while the two assistants stood at the door to await orders. Louise was more than tired. With hardly any diplomatic experience, it was rather hard to find the right words, talking to someone so fundamentally different in their beliefs did not help it either. Until now, the rule of the monarch in Vicidalia was undisputed, but with the recent surge of communism, this had changed. When talking to her subjects, she knew what kind of relation they had, but with the French. On the one hand, they were commoners, but on the other one, they were in a superior position. And now, she had this letter, a letter of complaint, but should she work on it, or would that maybe take away from her legitimacy, making her seem weak, easy to pressure. And then there was national security, which was a major issue. This much for this young a person. she crawled under the blanket and sulked away. It could have been as well that she was unfit to rule, but at least nobody saw her when she was like this. In the evening, she arranged her hair anew, changed into appropriate clothing and took a small suitcase prepared by her assistants. With this, she asked Clarissa for a meeting with Mme. Valentin, to discuss finally the matters of the state. If there was no chance to be seen in Paris, what could there be seen in Blois. she might as well have concluded her affairs now.
 12.
Splinters, of splinters, of splinters.... crikey. How many of you tentacle molesting fools do we need?
The number stays pretty much the same, just they are splitting each autumn. But, I'm really interested, how many people view NBA not as weeaboo?
 13. "We don't know if the UFE approves of this, so we have no official stance on this matter, apart from our hope for clarification." Jean Colbert, Comte d'Amacure Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade
 14.
That is moderately humorous (your gif). Being said, I think he purely meant getting rid of the name SOS. It has a pretty bad connotation. You could honestly reform as another Haruhi based alliance with a different name and you wouldn't have the stigma of SOS Brigade following you around, though you still would be ridiculed for being lolanime.
I think, being lolanime can be endurable. It draws out trolls, but at least not a curbstomp. Also, I'd rather pick another anime-theme, than another Haruhi theme, if I were to reform the alliance.
 15. Upon hearing the words of the Chairwoman, Louise drew an imaginary cross with her hands. "Mon dieu...may their souls rest in the care of the Lord." Even if it prevented further bloodshed, those deaths were still for ideals Louise herself followed. "Well, then, I'd like to visit Blois with my official business finished. Believe me, I don't like the Commune being a bad place. If France has to be a communist state, then it should at least be a good state for its people." At this point one of the two assistants nodded slightly and Louise continued. "Well, as Grand Princess, every decision of Vicidalia is eventually up to me. So, I will look how things will be like on my visit to Blois, afterwards we may speak again about our country's relations." Then she bowed her head slightly, received a piece of paper from the assistant and turned towards the Prefect. "Bon Jour Mme. Villejoin, I hope you'll take good care of us. May you guide me to my room?"
 16.
Ok then, Arrnea is out of power and that's all good and well. But why the downgrade to a protectorate, then?
Well, it's sort of an upgrade, as it is now mandatory defense of SOS by Invicta, however, SOS is at a size and in a shape that is more asking for protectorates, not MDoAP's. I guess it may be upgraded, as soon as SOS recovered to some size again.
 17. For Louise, it was the first visit to France since she was a small eight year old child. Altough she wasn't particularly old now either, that visit was already over 10 years in the past. And already before the plane landed, she was amazed on the sheer size of Paris. It had over 5 times the size of Vicidalias capital, Charlottenbourg (OOC: formerly Caracas) and the difference in the sizes of airports was nothing slight either. Altough communist, the Mother Country still was unsurpassed by her children. Altough the court was already worried, she also had decided to visit France with only two personal assistents, without security. Her feelings were mixed about this journey, but it was an opportunity to clear some things and it was advised for her to come here. Gracefully, as it was expected of noblesse, she followed Mme Valentin to the limousine. Once inside, the real challenge had begun. "I'm thankful for the hospitality offered by la France and I agree, let the French blood be thicker than water." Looking out of the window at the Champs-Élysées, she continued "I must say, we in Vicidalia adore the Mother Country. It really is like a dream for us to see her and all the ancient culture and history she emmits." Then she arranged her basque cap she wore for the state visit and looked at Simone Valentin again. "As for my program, I thought of first getting done with business, so I would ask of you to please show me how France and her people are faring, maybe we can visit some former nobles and also the commoners, so I know, my kinship is taken care of. If this is ensured, I'm sure we can get down to formal business between our two countries. Afterwards, I will be in your care for one more day to visit Paris and then, I'd like to excuse myself to visit the town of Blois. Would that be alright with you?" Meanwhile her companions took care of her luggage and followed in a normal car to the Palais de l'Élysée.
 18. Congratulations to both parties on this nice treaty.
SOS, you might as well disband and join NsO. They are actually decent for an anime alliance.
Awww, I think they could at least try. All of the former government left and as you may know the level of autocracy in SOS, these people had almost no say in the past. As people said before me, if there is a change, then it'll happen now.
MDAP? With SOS? Eeeewwww... Only if you do it first
You want to be tied to NsO? Not that I'd want to meddle in your FA, but I don't know if both sides really want to stick to a de facto MDAP.
Answer me this one question: Is Arrnea still in SOS?

Arrnea is currently applying to GPA.

Arrnea has no affiliation with the current SOS Brigade Membership
Arrnea is applying to GPA and holds no offices in the Brigade anymore. He should have handeed in his resignation already and apart from some friendly ties, as he still was a member once, there are no ties.
 19.
**Reply** Mme. de Vicidalia, It is not the entirety of the aristocracy who must leave, but only those leaders who once ruled over the nation. While some may see this as barbaric, I see move as a necessary precaution in preventing a Royalist Rebellion. King Geoffrey de Plantagenet is still at large in the world and his return may create a surge in Royalist loyalty that the Commune and France can ill-afford. In this way, the Noblesse will be taken care of in a society which tends to their needs as aristocrats. As to your other concern, Madame, their estates were seized by the government, however, in due time we may find it fit to reimburse those who lost property during the Revolution, in a kind of understanding that they will not return to the Mother Country. If you would like, however, to come to France and see the outcome of Post-Revolutionary Thought for yourself. I would be happy to receive you at anytime. Though I do hope that you come here with an open mind and not one that already sees the Commune as a blight against the world. I have been very cordial with you, Madame, do not take my kindness for granted and believe you may insult my beliefs or my country. I hope the idea that blood, French Blood, will always be thicker than water. Regards, Simone Valentin Chairwoman of the Revolutionary Party
Mme. Valentin, If you wouldn't mind then, I would visit France in the next week, as preperations for a sudden leave need their time. As I want to visit my family's origin, I would also be overjoyed if I could visit Blois and the surrounding areas. I have some private matters to take care of there, but nothing that would conflict with the law of France, as far as I'm aware of it. In ideological matters, I guess we can accept that there is a state of affairs and it cannot be changed anytime soon. It will be better to accept it and make the best out of it. One last thing I want to ask though, is wether I'll be living in a hotel or where else will I find hospitality. It'd be me, as well as two personal assistants. With regards, Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Grand Princess of Vicidalia
 20.
Mme. de Vicidalia, While I do respect your attitude towards the Revolution in the Mother Country, I must also respectfully disagree with your outlook on the situation. The Ancien Regime, one of many, which ruled over the French people until recent times was an ineffective and inactive regime and the need for their removal was only reinforced by the King of the Angevins disappearance with nuclear codes threatening both French and Global security. Beyond the fact that these people changed themselves through radical surgery into reptiles, I cannot begin to explain the necessity that existed to destroy our Monarchy. With the nuclear codes now changed, France can breathe easy and so can the world. It is unfortunate that one of the few Francophone countries refuses now to trade with the Mother Country and if need be, you may come yourself, Madame, to Paris and across the country to see that this Revolution and my rise to leadership did not take away the fundamental rights proposed by philosophers as Rousseau and Voltaire. That said, if you do feel strongly about the situation in France. I would ask if you would accept the former Queen and some of the aristocracy as Exiles. Surely in a country of your principles, they would suit the land better. Regards, Simone Valentin Chairwoman of the Revolutionary Party
Mme. Valentin, Altough it is sad that the french noblesse has to leave its own country, Vicidalia shall gladly accept them and give them somewhat of a new home. This however will bring up the question wether or not, the French Commune will refund the rightful owners of the estates, as I guess that the Revolutionary Government has seized control over the accounts and estates of the nobility. As it seems, it may be recquired for myself to accept your offer and to visit the Mother Country myself, to see for ourselves how post-revolutionary France is faring, as well as to discuss the matter of the aristocracy and the relations between our two countries. In this regard, I will hope that the Revolutionary Government and you, Mme Valentin may name me a date for a visit as soon as possible. With regards, Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Grand Princess of Vicidalia
 21. As the news of a communist victory arrived across the ocean, it hit the aristocracy hard. Not only would it be hard to forge any ties with a Red France, but also, if the movement swepped over, Vicidalias large rural population and workers class could try to repeat the revolution in their own country.
Official Order to the government offices after the Fall of France (state-intern, therefor unknown to the public) In the last weeks, we all witnessed how our brothers and sisters in France were overwhelmed by a revolution of the communists, a movement we can only condemn and which is inherently against the aristocracy and the monarchy. Ignoring the order of old, they pressured the queen to abdict and transformed our ancient homeland into a one-party state. Vicidalia cannot risk to share their fate and on this day, it was ordered that:

The Parti Communiste de Vicidalia is to be observed and should we witness any sign of subversive action, it has to be dissolved, if necessary by force. Anyone else caught to spread anti-monarchist propaganda is to be arrested immediatly.
Untill orders state otherwise, there will be no trade between Vicidalia and France. Interaction with the revolution has to be kept minimal.
It has to be made clear that the aristocrats of France are to be treated with respect and they shall not be harmed.
We will have to work towards reaching a navy with blue water capabilities to be able to promote our interests stronger in the future.
Signatures Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Charles II, Margrave de la Tortuga Minister of Foreign relations and Trade Lisette, Comtesse de Nouvelle-Béziers Minister of Defense Jean Colbert Comte d'Amacure, Herald of the State Minister of the Interior and Public Affairs
Communique to France Uneasyness and worry fill our hearts when we look upon the situation in your country. Altough we do not fully trust the outcome of the elections, we have to accept facts and these facts do not please us. Radical change has taken place in France, and while Vicidalia was trying to stay neutral in the past, wenow have to condemn this movement. Not only was the ancien regime overthrown, but the communists also did away with democracy and the free market. With the rights of the people curbed politically and economically, we see that despite Mdme. Valentins repeated wish for it to stay civil and free of state terror, the state was given the means to exert said terror. And Mdme Valentin may truly believe in this ideal, but this cannot be proven for all the communists in France and it may be entirely possible that the revolution will eat its children in the end. To show our discontent with the recent changes, we close our ports to every ship under the command of Comunist France until we are proven that France has a stable government with sufficient respect for the old values again. With regards, Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Grand Princess pf Vicidalia OOC: What a hypocrisy...
 22. Vicidalia strongly condemns the use of arms to strengthen the own political position and expresses its hopes for this to stay civil instead of civil war. We advise our French brethren to end the struggle as soon as possible, so that no unecessary French blood has to flow. Communique to the French government "As it seems the protests have grown increasingly violent, we want to show our solidarity to the French people and their legitimate government. Therefor, I have ordered a shipment of oil to be send to help the rightful cause of the monarchy. We will also send a political observer to keep an eye on the situation, as well as a connection between our countries, should France be willing to contact us." With regards, Louise Françoise I de Vicidalia Grand Princess of Vicidalia As soon as the communique was out, orders were given to the port authorities in Charlottenbourg to ready a contingent of 5 ships, 4 filled with oil and one loaded with humanitarian aid material, as well as 0.8 tons of gold. Under the flag of the Vicidalian Principal Merchand Navy, the small flotilla started their long voyage to Brest in the evening of the same day.
 23. Isn't this better off in another part of the boards?
 24. Communique to the Provisional Republic of Clustania "As Vicidalia sees the situation, it seems that it'd be best to also invite the Transitional Republic of Guyana, as I hope they are just as well interested in a peaceful Amazonian region, if not a peaceful South America. We hope, Clustania agrees on this. This however brings up the question of where to host a meeting." Louise Françoise de Vicidalia Grand Princess of Vicidalia
