  1. I would never pretend to be as condescending as TBRaiders or Artigo, but thank you? You didn't know me in my raiding days. What you call defeatism I call realism. As it stands now Valhalla isn't an alliance that has an upper tier that could stand up to the upper tier of DT or TOP for too terribly long, let alone DBDC. It's unlikely that Valhalla will ever have the firepower necessary to even challenge DBDC in that manner. I threw the 140k figure out there, but it was by no means exact, Beyond that point, warfare changes. If you are in the majority during a major war, then you spend a lot more time sitting around waiting for targets, if you are in the minority, you spend a lot of time in PM or getting down declared upon and it isn't much fun...until the point your NS is low enough that you are the one down declaring and outclassing people. The matter of your near constant raids/wars/whatever you want to call them is also a factor, but a separate issue. They certainly don't make hanging around above 185k or so (whatever the 250 nation rank is right now) very much fun unless you are fortunate enough to have declared neutrality respected or sign paper with you. If you actually bothered to notice, I rarely if ever agree with Tywin on anything. Not here, not on Francoism, maybe on the color of the sky though. Valhalla doesn't strive for super tier relevance, especially since none of us are actually any sort of fixture in the super tier (depending on how you define it, we're not really in the super tier at all) nor plan to stay there once we enter the fight on behalf of one of our alliances. Unlike you, we get our nations pretty busted up when we fight. Have fun at the top...1,000,000 NS is less than 150k away.
  2. As I stated elsewhere, the time for that was long ago and has now passed. CN exists now at about 140k NS or so or below. What goes on above that bears little resemblance to the rest of Planet Bob.
  3. Well if we're counting raids as wars, I'm pretty sure I'm still ahead of 'roid boy there in terms of wars by far. <_< As a side note, if DBDC is trying to convince the general Planet Bob community that they belong and should be considered good citizens...it's not working.
  4. I just think it's honorable that GLoF would clear their attacks in defense of DBDC with R&R, especially in light of how small, peaceful and defenseless DBDC is. It's rare that you see such nobility these days. RIA should stick to picking on alliances their own size.
  5. Time to have actually done something about DBDC was when DBDC was just another AA that MK and other DH alliance members hid under during the EQ War in an effort to avoid obvious detection. Had anyone had the foresight, they would have declared all the members of all those false flag alliances to be nuke rogues and dealt with them appropriately. It wasn't like no one was keeping track of those AAs, multiple people were on the EQ side. I'll believe you have become a pacifist the day you are accepted into GPA. Since I'm pretty sure you'd rather eat chalk first, we'll hold off on buying you a statue of Buddha for now.
  6. I'm going to agree with you. Don't be shocked. ;)
  7. I'm not tied to GATO so I don't have to be polite. :smug: But seriously, if this is an attempt to appear as bait to the Polaris side of this war, you're going to have to do a much better job. Only other excuse for the lack of war decs on this scale is a simple lack of defensive slots to grab, and if that's the case, surely GATO could have been used along the line in a better place. Lobby better in the war council.
  8. You have discovered that doesn't matter, congratulations. This kinda of stuff doesn't happen in Purple (nor Blue or Orange so far as i know). Consider that a hint.
  9. Daily reminder that if you don't like your treatment on a team color, move. Crying about it solves nothing.
  10. It's nice to see that no matter the topic, no matter the circumstance, you will defend anything DBDC does. They should reward you for such loyalty. Maybe they'll throw a signed t-shirt. They should.
  11. I always picture you sitting around pretending to be someone special, because outside the confines of Planet Bob, you really aren't. That's not a "zinger" by the way, it's just sort of statement of fact. Kinda sad.
  12. The Glacial War Because it is clearly moving along at a glacial pace....
  13. Leader(s) Emperor: Dajobo Imperial Regent: EaTemUp Imperial Liaison: Quantum Leap Other Officials Council Minister of Peace: Lestat Minister of Love: Sir Edward Minister of Truth: WarGod0001 Minister of Plenty: NBForrest Deputy Minister of Peace: Buuyo Deputy Minister of Love: ToxicCr0pDust3r Deputy Minister of Truth: Prince Jeff I Deputy Minister of Plenty: Elessar Imperial Advisors Imperial Technician: Not Sane Imperial Chaplain: Darth Actorbass Imperial Advisor: Jphillips412 Imperial Advisor: GEwilliam Imperial Advisor: Medic32 Imperial Advisor: Irish Republic He doesn't seem to be a current member of government. So unless or until someone in authority at NpO says anything else, Grub doesn't speak for them.
  14. Given that Francoism is whatever the person espousing it says it is (by admission of your own emperors), seems to me that it doesn't actually matter how it's stacked, it's still bullshit. :)
  15. Meanwhile, alliances like the Knights of Ni! just see the new boss, same as the old boss. Tech raiding and roguing are super cool as long as you are on the giving end. Personally I see a definite difference in style, but the desire for control is the same.
  16. 1. Too long. 2. Sorry, predates the Disorder War. List is a pinned topic in the tech selling area of the Val forums.
  17. Been there, done that, got a t-shirt. It was kinda boring to be honest until near the end. Spent most of the time staring at pigeons.
  18. I acknowledged a long time ago that the only thing standing between Cuba and 1 mill NS is Cuba. Same could said about some of the other members of DBDC. However, cutting tech supplies to most of the rest would make DBDC more vulnerable long term. Ultimately if Cuba has only a tiny number of direct followers, the ability of his alliance to influence world events is much diminished. As for the balance of your remarks, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. That's how it is in the real world, and it tends to be true on Planet Bob as well. Valhalla has a "do not sell list" and has for a long time. You are correct that more alliances should, particularly to alliances that condone rogue behavior by their members.
  19. In case you haven't figured it out yet, DBDC has kept a wide variety of alliances in fear that their upper tier nations will be attacked for too long already. In essence, a perpetual state of war, particularly for those alliances that have had members attacked over and over again. One would hope that alliances like FAN, and those small alliances that have been attacked by DBDC in the past would join with NpO in this effort. It would certainly make things more interesting.
  20. It would be a kindness to push over the rotted corpse of MK and light it on fire. For an alliance that supposedly disbanded a very long time ago, those who control the AA seem to have trouble letting go. I like your optimism. OOC: mostly because that would imply we'll still be here playing in 5 years in order to enjoy it We'll see what happens next.
  21. I think we've all seen the doves...my remark to Levi was that there were enough of them to constitute an adequate display for an opening ceremony at the Olympics. I've been sitting and waiting versus an alliance that went to PM in their upper tier, and it sucks.
  22. The problem with the whole "warriors alliances" thing is that in major wars that involve essentially warrior alliances vs. non-warrior alliances, the warrior alliances end up losing more often than not.
