1. All sorts of birthdays these past weeks. A happy one unto CCC
2. Could have added one more and at least done something clever with a "Fourteen Points" theme, but alas...
3.
1) I was replying to BKlein, who did call it a down-declare. I suspect it's only because he was one of the many SUN caught with 20% soldiers in DEFCON 5, and he's still a bit sore over that fact.
Well, to make the point moot, I was referring to what you guys accused us of: I said nothing of your tactics which I see as perfectly valid. Any alliance at war can do anything required to win or inflict damage on the other (That said, I draw the line short of espionage outside the in-game spy function). Explain to me how a guy declaring on two or three people half his size - mind you, he's already being attacked by people 2-3k higher NS - is in any way a less valid tactic than a quad attack on an unsuspecting alliance. It's not. Yes, I was one of those that got caught with his pajamas on. It might even amuse you to know that I had 17% troops! Let me just tell you that those that get "sore" over their own mistakes have a lot to learn. If anything, you guys handed me an excellent learning experience. The RE members that have declared on me have been nothing but kind, so I do not begrudge them their victory if it comes to that. (Also, thanks to Killer for properly interpreting my response)
4. Long story made short: down declaring is evil unless you're the one doing it; anarchy doesn't mean anything unless you're the one causing it. Yada yada. Again, adminspeed to RE
5. Nice one, guise Good luck! obligatory (but not entirely sarcastic) u madd?
6. *obligatory "needz moar kontaynment of kommunizm"* But really INT: I your flag
7.
Im also getting these rumors about a spy and it would make sense to why you were ready.
Yes, tons of spies. We the ebil rabblerousers were infiltrating the ranks in droves!
8. Well isn't this a bucket of rainbows and joy Good luck, RE (o/ obligatory SUN )
9. Well I'll be! Knew about this x amount of time ago. In all seriousness, I look forward to getting to know better and work closely with the fine people of the SUN.
10. Congrats to all in Paragon I've always been a fan of your logo. May it wave until reset day!
11. Good luck, GDA. Looks like a pretty good line up from what I know
12.
Let's see, 25 tech, 250 land, and more than 250 infrastructure. Certainly looks like the largest possible offering to Admin (may he reign forever) to me!
Ah yes. My eyes have been opened.
13. Even if you have no desire whatsoever of visiting The Last Republic (or #lastrepublic for more direct interaction), I have little doubt you'll find somewhere good to take up residence. You're certainly one of the more promising new players I've seen. EDIT: Quick question. How is it that you have a NS of 1,685.000 after only one day and zero instances of foreign aid? I think the savior really is among us! o/ BK
14. That's what I was wondering. My only guess is that they have a mutual love for fighting; as such, they recognized the other's courage and decided to overcome past differences. Beautiful. Edit: best of luck, of course
15. Isn't this interesting. (Too lazy to look and see if the italics joke was used in the six previous pages)
16. I rather enjoy these good people over at Menotah. I hope this proves to be a long and fruitful friendship for the both of us. o/ Men of Truth and Honor o/ The Last Republic
17. Glad to see you get peace, UPN. Your DoW was one of the best this war and best of luck on the rebuild.
18. 1. You're at a club dancing with a rather attractive girl, and you're texting your military commander for updates on the current situation. 2. You actually change your sleep habits once or twice for a war that of course didn't happen. 5. You read all the posts in a 20+ page thread 6. You are talking about politics that do not involve any country that actually exists for hours on end with people you don't even know. 13. You track down an alliance-mate's home phone number and spend an hour and a half on the phone with him talking him into not quitting CN (sort of) 20. You sign an IRL official work related email with your CN name and send it off to your boss 22. Your choice of hotels while on vacation is entirely determined by whether or not they have internet access and don't block IRC. 30. You choose to stay at home to see the “DoWs” instead of going to prom (again, sort of) 36. You think “infra jump” whenever Obama talks about rebuilding infrastructure 38. You create elaborate backstories for your close CN friends in hopes of persuading your RL friends that you are NOT a nerd and actually KNOW the people you’ve been skyping with for the past 3 hours. 48. You refer to geopolitical process after World War II as “lines being drawn” 53. You run government affairs over Skype only so there can be no log dumps 54. You turn down a date so you can make target lists (not quite, but similar) 56. You care about your reputation enough not to change your game name 59. You think drawing a MDP web for RL relationships is a damn good idea 61. You have more Cybernatons propaganda on your computer than family pictures 66. You refer to your life savings as a warchest 74. You know Iceland has the most dominant economy in the world because they have lots of fish and water. 80. You *cheer* because your nation was attacked by a nuclear weapon 89. You write the word “top” in ALL CAPS 94. You think your .gov position qualifies as “experience” for your job resume (not really, but it almost could) 98. You plan a IRL get-together of your alliance. At your house. (not at my house per se... 101. You read through this whole list and thought “I’ve done that!” more than 10 times. Gosh, that's too many :S
19. Congrats to WAPA on reaching an end to the conflict. o/ Aztec and co. o/ STA for undying loyalty
20. Sporcle is great as has been mentioned. When I would prepare for the New York geo bee (In the days before google earth ), not only were the nations and cities important, but the bodies of water, mountains, etc. It's a daunting task, but focusing in smaller regions is wise.
21. Shared in The Last Republic's forums and member chat. Our thoughts go out to VanHoo and KaitlinK in the hope that help can be found speedily and their daughter may be returned home safe and sound.
22. Congrats on peace, Menotah. Here's to a nice rebuild o/ Congrats, BFF and TORN.
