No one really wanted to play ball :(

Hello, I am a new old player. By this I mean I played Cybernations a long long time ago (think 2007) and I recently remembered this amazing game and have decided to come back and check it out. I've created a new nation and Now I am here to see what the Alliance front looks like. I realise some will not participate but I thought it would be a good idea to see which Alliances are willing to post here what they are about. Tell me the kind of opportunities I would have in your alliance and why I should join you. Then hopefully other nations and Alliances can come and do the same, and/or endorse you or tell me why I shouldn't join you. My hope that is if enough Alliances play ball here it'll not only provide me with a choice for an alliance but also an understanding of the current political front between said alliances and therefore a better understanding of the game I am stepping into. So here goes. Who wants me and why should I join you and not them?

Let's just say that, under a different moniker, I played this game when it was really really young. Like under a year old Young. I haven't been around in years though, and something made me think of this game and come back and try it out again. Then again I never claimed to be a new to the game now did I?

I honestly did not expect to get this many responses. Thank you to everyone for the advice, and yes Thank you to the trolls too. GPA LOL. Good to know there is humor though. Unfortunately it seems there isn't much for someone like me to do on any of the Alliance forums I have checked out. I either have to apply or be a diplomat, I can't just hang out in a public area and see what you guys are like. Fear not though, I've got a few more days before I can be openly attacked. I'll be dropping in and out of your IRCs socializing and seeing where I fit in. If I am going to make a decision it's going to be an informed one.

So I made a nation. And within a few hours I was bombarded with recruitment messaged. This is fine, it's expected. But it was rather disappointing and here is why. They were all the same. Everyone told me why they were different from the others, yet everyone promised the same exact thing. The list of what they offered was almost identical, and centered mostly around how to grow my Nation, and not what they as a community offered. There were minor differences in there, but for the most part each one was little more than; "we'll play the game with you". Really? That's all you got? I mean no disrespect but I expected a bit more from a game who's focus is supposed to be War and Politics. And speaking of War. Every single Alliance promised me safety from war. Not a single one promised me I'd get into it. This is a game about War and Politics right? Why would I be pixel hording? I like PvP. I don't want you to protect me from war, I want you to have my back as we ride into battle, together. Don't promise me safety, promise me we'll play this game right and get into some !@#$ together. Come at me bro. Anyways, as a new player I am sure this will be mostly overlooked. But so far I don't know how I am going to make a decision on which Alliance to join.
