Things were going well for a few days, but we weren't really gaining numbers so I messaged Julian to do some slave labor like recruiting and stuff like that. He disregarded my message. But I was benevolent, for I gave him nearly a week to respond and he failed to do so. My authority must not be challenged or ignored by this mere underling. And for that he shall meet death. I make this announcement to tell everyone who is watching our rising star alliance with vigilance. I understand that we are at the center of this world and everyone cares. I urge all to support me in my tribal cleansing of this dissident, he will not be forgiven. Allahu Akbar!

This alliance will fail. They were unwilling to accept me as supreme god and leader of TAA. They are unwilling to accept greatness, and will only settle for mediocrity, for they wish to be a boring generic two person alliance. For their talent stifling ways, they will soon choke out anything which can make them grow and succeed. TAA will suffocate in a relatively brief time.

[/quote] In this case SLCB did more than pretend to offer white peace, they actually did offer such a type of peace. Its a lot more pretending. And yeah if you are sticking it out longer than the alliance you came in to defend, they have a right to charge you for the additional warfare as you obviously aren't in it for your stated CB, but for another reason entirely. Anyways you are saying that SLCB was wrong to offer you white peace to begin with. Its not that the reps are wrong, its that they gave you a chance to exit without reps that is wrong. A silly standpoint, but I won't begrudge you for holding that sort of opinion.

I understand and support this decision. Bring on the haters who will inevitably say "Oh how could you ever cancel a treaty in the midst of a war :negman:"

[/quote] Regarding the part of my post you bolded. From my view point, if there is no risks associated with an act then it becomes standard fair to keep on going than honorable. To your post, SLCB offered sportsman like terms when TIO left, TKTB disregarded the lenient terms and are now stuck with these. They weren't given for no reason, and not just because they can. TKTB had their shot for no reps, they valued extended time on the battlefield and in exchange are now paying additional consequences.

These seem perfectly fair to me. Moralists are always saying that an alliance who has entered honorably to defend their ally and wouldn't leave without them shouldn't have to pay reps. Well you know, actions like that have risks. If they didn't have risks, why would such an act be honorable? Anyways if you have a good offer take it. If you don't be prepared to face the consequences.You can't make the winning alliance do anything they don't want to, the only thing you can do is speculate on what they would do to you in a situation in which you don't have much of a say. If you think the outcome will be better than the punishment, go for it. If not, you shouldn't be surprised to see reps.
