  1. God damn you all make me wish I could give myself a lobotomy. Look at how once I mention anything other than the topic at hand it gets jumped on and wrangled to the dirt like some sort of derail rodeo. We're not gaining enough NS for you to be satisfied? We're in 300 wars right now, so you can go take a running jump for all I care. Stop backpedaling with excuses for why your nations are too lazy to engage us; it's disgraceful.

The fact of the matter is that there is no shortage of targets in GOONS, but we've been given the ability to dictate the flow of battle as shown by the fact that while most of our enemies are licking their wounds and hesitating to make that decision to jump back into the fray, GOONS is quintupling your collective war output.

This is not a blog about GOONS getting aid. This is a blog about alliances that register barely above brain dead.

  2. If you weren't gaining NS with 4.3 billion dollars in aid and a collection of newbies, there'd be something wrong.

Find someone in the entire coalition arrayed against us to engage Umar or Sarin or RagingBoar or Oblivion590, and that growth would go away very quickly.

And we don't care about your tiny nations. That should be clear by now.

The only thing that's clear to me is that the nations that currently occupy your lower tier are either lazy, out of money, or just scared to draw attention to themselves.

  3. I don't believe avalon declared on Goons specifically. You'd have to check their dow.

They declared on the members of Doomhouse, which includes GOONS. I'm not sure if they ever had any intention of launching attacks against GOONS, but I figured I'd take an inclusive approach to this reminder as I didn't want to leave anyone out.

    Dear Schattenmann,

Thank you for your quick reply. I must inform you, however, that your barbs are becoming incredibly dated and don't really have much relevance to a nation who was not a member of Neutral Shoving. That said, thank you for letting us know that your new plan to help 64Digits help TPF defend NPO from Doomhouse is to focus on ODN. I will strike CoJ from the list.

  5. Ehhh I say there's some factors to consider. If all you're going to be doing is throwing your warchest at your opponent if you try GAs, and rebuying soldiers is only giving your opponents a chance to fund their other wars, then turtling makes sense. It still ticks me off when my opponents do it, but I can see why.

  6. It's more about the aid slots than the actual monetary amount nations are sitting on. 3 million is pretty much spare change for me, but I can only send out 18 million every 10 days. During that 10 days, I wouldn't be able do any tech deals.

Assuming I'm sitting on a billion, it would take me 56 full aid cycles (560 days) to run out of money, if that was all I was doing. And that's not counting additional tax collections of course. So a theoretical 100k nation, and nations much smaller than that as well, that is not at war and is only sending out aid will never run out of money. It what those other aid slots could be doing that count.

There's my monthly allotment of econ.

Ehhh it'll likely be a mix of aid and longterm tech deals. I was just making a joke anyways so... thanks for pointing out stuff I already know!

  7. I for one never expected GOONS to surrender, and I don't know of anyone else over here who really thought that. It's just funny that GOONS has to continually announce that they're not going to surrender or disband. It's something called overcompensation, and it's fun to watch.

At any rate, I've been having a blast as well. Can't wait to see that goose egg next to the word Infrastructure in my nation stats.

Wait, so all of NPO's defenders put their upper-middle in peace mode and only declared on GOONS because they didn't think we'd surrender? If that really was the case (I don't think it is and I'm fairly certain you're just being contrary) then that would make the majority of said defense a token gesture just to keep up appearances.

Or maybe... just maybe... it's a reverse FAN maneuver! You've piled onto us in peace mode and will refuse to come out of it until you get fair surrender terms, and claim persecution all the while!

  8. While I might quibble about a few specifics (For instance I believe the tendancy to bipolarity is more a function of the treaty web plus game mechanics plus boredom), I agree with the overall picture you paint, and it's nice to see something written in a relatively objective tone.

I would say though, is that over time some things will change (as you mentioned, EZI no longer happens), but not human nature.
