Notes: This is a Declaration of War chart, tracking the date of declaration and the alliances involved. Where an alliance has peaced out, the alliance's icon is vertically-shaded with white, the icon border colour gives the date of peace, and the DoW attack lines are dashed. Alliances which have declared for 'both' sides are horizontally-shaded, with their central colour based on their earliest declaration. 'Micro' alliances are not included, with that definition being subjective, and usually based on the total number of nations in the alliance. The grey alliances are currently bystanders. Design priority in this chart has been to minimize x-overs to enhance 'reading' clarity. (and now the only one that still includes alliances that were involved, but are now at peace)

You appear to be using RoW posts as DoW posts. There are a lot of arrows pointing the wrong way as a result.

I think a system of who posted saying "We at war" is a sound one to take, otherwise you just get it devolving into political slug fest.

The only other reasonable way I could think of to deal with it is to use two-sided arrows, but that brings up a very important question: who even gives a !@#$?

Well, I wouldn't use a tool like this if it can't be relied on to give accurate information. You could just drop the arrows in that case though.

Since who declared on who is going to be a different answer depending on which side of the war you ask, its kind of stupid to try starting a debate on the merits of it, unless you just wanna turn the blogs into a copy of the OWF.

Since this is the best warweb just use it, be thankful for the time and effort the kind author has put into it, and if an arrow offends your IC sense of political correctness just ignore it.
