Yeah, it's funny to see not only TL but others on the NpO/TOP side suggesting that NPO is forcing its allies to continue the fight. I have no inside knowledge, but if NPO (or NSO) was my ally, I'd be going all out for them and wouldn't consider giving up until we both agreed upon an agreeable exit. Then again, propaganda is just that -- propaganda. I'm just never convinced that propaganda is all that useful in situations like this in CN. It seems that most everyone has either picked a side OR can look on at the events unfolding from a neutral, clear-headed standpoint, such as my AZTEC cohorts and other uninvolved entities (and as such are not swayed by pliable stats or unfounded assertions -- not that it'd matter even if they were because they're neutral and/or uninvolved). I suppose, though, there's always the hope of being able to render one's enemy dispirited to the point of wanting out at all costs.

Yeah, I think Pax looks set to maintain sanction status for the foreseeable future. We're going to have lots of competition for positions 10-12. How awesome would it be if Umbrella, LoSS, GOONS, and Sparta joined us in the top 12 to render the sanction AAs 50% black. We could phase out affirmative action at that point, I guess.

Yeah, this has been rather unexpected. Of course we have the ongoing war to thank for some of our relative gains, but that doesn't diminish the fact that we've been awesome enough to attract some of our friends to join us and had significantly higher than average aid slot usage for months (even prewar). Say it ain't so! The horror! I thought he was... *brain implodes* OK, let's see, of our 3 involved allies (listed alphabetically: DBDC, HB, LoSS), exactly 3 of them entered aggressively, which of course we're not necessarily opposed to by any means, and exactly 3 of them didn't require any assistance, and exactly 3 of them never requested assistance (which again they didn't come close to needing). But, you're surely right, we did some mighty-fine e-lawyering and squirmed uncomfortably as our allies looked on in disbelief at the way in which we... did things the right way? :P

I hope Valhalla is able to get things going in a better direction. o7

Good question. AFAIK, it's been submitted. I hope it's added before TOP and Umb retake their spots. It doesn't look like we'll be getting much competition for sanction from TIO, Sparta, GATO, or NATO -- for awhile at least. Edit: Oh, there it is!

I'm a bit late to the party on this, but we're not being any harder on Val than we were on IRON and LoSS. I consider all of you to be friendly alliances, and I like certain people and aspects of each of your AAs, but all 3 of you made some questionable judgment calls this war. As for DT owing Val, any dept we may have owed (which is perhaps not a healthy way for friendships to work anyway), we can consider repaid when we went all out in Ai's defense last war. We hold Val no ill will. At the same, we can see that this was a logical move by NG.

Yeah, it should have happened while he was around. However, it seems that an open letter was probably also unnecessary, as is my (and my peanut gallery chorts') weighing in on the internal affairs of NG.
