1. Congrats on the anniversary Europa. Why in god's name would you let JonathanB into gov?
 2. Congratulations TNG, it has been a pleasure being allied to you over this past year. You certainly have grown.
 3.
Duckroll by july.... I'll set that at 20:1 Treaty with a member of Duckroll .... I'll say 5:1 RoK rolls Duckroll.............go for 3:1
Are you trying to tell me I should cancel the new sigs I just had made
 4. Interesting to see. Definitely cut yourself loose from some dead weight there. Congrats
 5. Congratulations TOOL for getting peace. I'm very happy to have seen it turn out this way.
 6. Oh wow, Alas Babylon! That book was excellent. I haven't read it in years but I'll definitely have to pop over and check it out.
 7.
For me, the objection was moreso that we went in knowing that we'd get no help from TOP because our treaty partners needed the help and then several untreatied alliances attacked our MDoAP partner directly along with them while we were in nuclear anarchy, which was a violation of the TOP MDoAP. Preemptive strikes are something you usually want to avoid, but they're effective if the situation calls for it. I wasn't particularly trigger happy about it.

To be fair, a lot of it was played up since MK was going in and I doubt MK would deny it, but that's the kind of thing that happens during a war.
No, understood, which is why I specifically pulled you out as an excellent example of candor. I recall being in a similar argumentative position last year, which is only compounded by unclear DoWs, ect. I don't necessarily agree with your reasoning, but I have very much appreciated the effort you have put into explaining your thinking. I do still think it is hypocritical, but as you say, such is war. However those two previous posts are why you're effective at conveying your message Roq,
Ok so we are a go on the list of lies that came through our teeth? Good, good glad that is over. Today I like apples, next week I might hate them. Does that mean I lied when I said I liked them? Sure preemptive attacks may not be the best course to take, but just because you dislike something doesn't mean its off the table. Allowing NPO to get off an alpha strike would have put VE et al at a very awful disadvantage. So, no, I personally can not say the whole preemptive strike like/dislike was a lie.
and you're seen as a disingenuous hack.
 8.
ok so everything he listed isn't a lie in the least does someone else want to take the bat and swing away? How you feel versus what we say does not make what we say a lie. Just because you don't like the reasons given for the war does not invalidate them, sorry. The sky is polka dotted; this is a lie. The sky is aqua while you feel it's more of a light blue does not make what we stated a lie. You obviously do care what I think of you since you went out of your way to tell me you don't, so now you are the dirty liar!
K, I'll repost this one for you just so you don't get confused
Well for one there was that whole thing about preemptive strikes being wrong to do... Edit: though I suppose disingenuous is a better word
So, if you at one point you stated that you thought preemptive strikes were wrong, then you did them and magically changed your mind once you did them, you were either lying about those original thoughts, or you gained some realization from His Holiness Delay that you were wrong. Having said that, that doesn't apply to everyone in DH, especially the gov. For example, Roq has been pretty clear about not having a problem with the principle of a preemptive strike. Though, I think if you're honest with yourselves, you'll acknowledge that the majority, or at least a large minority, of your general membership played the "preemptive strikes are wrong" card last year when we (TTIDT) did it to you. So you were either being disingenuous, or have received enlightenment.
 9.
Docartaigh, here is your chance. Tell us all everything Dumbhouse has ever lied about. We'll wait.
Well for one there was that whole thing about preemptive strikes being wrong to do... Edit: though I suppose disingenuous is a better word
 10.
Good like guys, it was nice getting to know you.
Agreed, glad you guys took the time to come by. Good luck out there. When you come back I fully expect a new and improved ONYX
 11.
Oh come on man, it's funny. You gotta laugh at the likes of UPN and IRON trying to be the ~cool kids on the block~.
Ah yes, whereas GOD has certainly shown that they have the social graces to be one of "the cool kids". Methinks you doth protest too much over a single word from a single poster. MCRAB, I think they're trying to tell you they'll really miss you! Maybe they're lonely
 12.
snip
You guys still use banks...wow I guess I should have assumed...
You engaged in a first strike that was intended to keep NPO and its primary allies away from the battlefield where the VE-NpO conflict was taking place. That mission was strategy and tactical victory without dissent by anyone capable of understanding how to pull the trigger on a rifle. Insisting on a level of victory that goes beyond that achieved on the VE-NpO front is simply unjustifiable. OOC: You as a player as smarter than this. Contact me privately.
In fact the peace mode decision by NPO only further played into their victory. Doomhouse was able to allow the VE-Polar war to be concluded as a resounding success, while taking very little damage themselves. Beyond the OOC issues, I see no real reason why this makes any sense. Umb/MK have better slot efficiency than Pacifica. DH's own top tiers were almost untouched. Forcing a confrontation now, as opposed to say, 2 or 3 months, does nothing but make them seem heavy handed with the added risk of inducing a drawn out political staring contest.
 13.
If you really think those 100k+ nations in Umbrella and MK are suffering from sending out $18m/10 days then you're a little bit loopy. I can assure you those losses are significantly less than what the Legion and NPO nations in peace mode are suffering.
I think his point was that there is an opportunity cost associated with sending out aid, ie you send out full aid slots you are no longer capable of bringing in tech, the element which makes up most of Umbrella's strength. Umbrella doesn't really lack for tech though...
 14. What the world will look like in the aftermath of this war. What has changed? Who were the winners and losers politically?
 15.
"Bring it" in the manner described is de rigeur, but when were you ever a slave to fashion, Doitzel? I would recommend: Bring it on[sup]2[/sup]. I hope you like the flourish with the exponent. I think it adds a certain something that's been lacking from most responses of that nature and would certainly suit your panache, no?
That's exponentially more bravado!
 16.
Its not evil when you're extorting evil mirite.
Thats justice right?
 17.
Xiph is just another puppet and all his actions have actually been the actions of another ruler this entire time? .. Anonymous?
Who is the puppet master behind the puppet master! Truly this person is a god among men.
 18.
Take that TORN and Valhalla - we're first!
Damn you guys! I don't know if we can tolerate this flagrant example of "cutsies". Perhaps we didn't register properly with Grub, he apparently doles out the tickets. Is that an official Polar government position, Beatdown Line Manager? Maybe we could get one of those cool Polar graphics that has our ticket number on it? That would probably mitigate a lot of confusion. I do like this syndicate idea though.
 19.
I would've liked to wish RoK all the best, but taking pot shots at your former allies on your way out shows how little class you have. Glad you could at least do SF a favor by leaving. I hope you get backstabbed by Polaris like so many alliances have in the past. From all the history with SF I seen, I know that wouldn't have happened there. SF offered you good advice and you were just too prideful and stubborn to heed it. It would be like if iFOK DoW'ed MK in support of the NPO and the rest of PB told iFOK to stop, and we told them to get lost and left PB saying how they wanted to control our FA path. That situation is about as dumb as the one you find yourself in. Congrats.
Wow, talk about refusing to acknowledge nuance. That is one of the most hyperbolic examples I've seen in quite a while. Well done.
