1. Respect, Brucemania, and all the more so as we're currently enemies. More posts like yours prior to our treaty dissolution might have saved that relationship.
2. I'd almost forgotten why I don't normally post on the OWF. The atmosphere is so polarized that reason apparently has no place and is replaced by closed-mindedness and hypocrisy.
3. Someone who speaks sense. I was beginning to lose faith in humanity after reading Mayzie's absurd posts.
4. Better a poor air force than SDI crews that fall asleep at their stations. Also, I forgot to add to my last post the obligatory "MI6 is the enemy. They are less than human and must be destroyed." This is war, right?
5. The war damage stat is a cool addition but it's also incredibly misleading. For example, I have yet to fire any nukes this war because I defer to my war partners. So if you look at my war stats, they are disproportionately lopsided because I'm taking a nice big nuke every day but not dishing one out in response. So the stats show me as doing much less damage when aside from nukes I've won every single GA so far (attacking and defending which is about 10/10 now) and a majority of air attacks. Certainly the statistics don't lie, but it's the nature of the game that the person with more targets to hit will end up dishing out more damage merely because they can. That doesn't mean someone is a better fighter or nation builder or whatever. In an age of CN which is "nuke first ask questions never" that is where your damage comes from and the nuke plays to the benefit of the outnumbered side (at least until their nukes run out). All that being said, forgetting my MI6 target that has turtled/might be inactive, I am fighting an active nation with a well built nation. I have nothing bad to say about MI6.
6. It was getting lonely just fighting MI6. I was afraid you all had forgotten about us.
7. I'd add you to my war screen club but your slots are all full. Maybe next round.
8. Hey! I know you from my war screen. I knew you looked familiar.
9. Yeah, I was afraid that we were at war and I hadn't gotten the memo.
10. I learned geography just by looking at the globe. From there I moved up to full Atlases to get a better graps of more detailed information. Sporcle and other resources like that can be good to learn more obscure things like Tuvalu but I don't think it should be the first resource you go to if you really have no idea about the geography of entire regions.
11.
I didn't say anything about moral high ground. I didn't say anything about morals at all. I have clearly stated that the amount of fighting an alliance has done is not proportional to their ability. The two do not necessarily grow together. The only time I brought up pre-Karma at all was when I was referring to my personal experience with prolonged war. My first comment on TPF in this thread was that being stubborn is also not indicative of fighting ability. I believe I've given a pretty fair and reasonable assessment of TPF's ability. You guys just aren't taking criticism very well and think that because our people have had conflict in the past that everything I say must be rooted in an emotional response. Careful, your bis is showing.
Sorry if my response is not reflecting of the whole thread which I admittedly have not read in it's entirety. I am not questioning the idea that fighting constantly = war ability otherwise I would be questioning more people than just you. My post was in response to complete confusion over what were at the time your three most recent posts. Roquentin was talking about TPF keeping upper tier in peace, not fighting fully, etc. Vol said that we'd been on the curb end of the war less than the stomp end since Karma to refute that point that we didn't fight. You then replied saying "if your alliance's history started with the Karma war, you might have been able to lay claim to some kind of high ground." To me that sounded like you were bringing history in reference to morality not fighting ability or even simple fighting period. That is far beyond the scope of the argument but then you're the one who comes in saying that such discussion is beyond the scope even though you were the one that brought it up. That's what my confusion was over not your assessment of my alliance's fighting ability. It seemed to make no sense to reference something and then call yourself out on it being irrelevant.
12.
Me disliking you has nothing to do with your war ability, which is what we're talking about. You're claiming that, due to your post Karma war frequency, you have a superior fighting ability. I don't believe that to be the case and I've already stated why.
Wait, what? Yes, this topic is about war ability but you're the one who derailed and brought up pre-Karma history and discussions of moral high-ground and now you've turned right around and said they have no place here. Vol was talking about how much fighting TPF has done in response to accusations about hiding in peace not about fighting ability and certainly not about anything that warranted your comment about the past.
13.
I go to the game-store and buy Skyrim.
Pretty much this and then forget CN exists for a few days.
14. What is this, preemptive reps as a bribe? I thought I'd seen everything.
15. Congratulations and best of luck in this new partnership.
16. An interesting idea that I'd like to see but as others have said I don't think it will ever really work. Perhaps if this idea was used years ago it could have taken root but when compared with the war system/terms system we have nearly written in stone, I doubt anyone would ever agree to a change like this. The idea to offer it to POWs might make more sense but other than that I doubt it would get anywhere at all.
17. Sad to see us part ways with old friends but times change. Best of luck in the future, VA.

Who is the authority in Islam to declare holy war? They have no Muslim pope or anything like that. The Shi'ites have a limited hierarchy but as far as Sunnis go there is hardly any structure. Some people looked to Bin Laden as a religious leader so he therefore had the authority in their minds to do what he did. I'm pretty sure Bush isn't the first person to declare war on something that isn't another state. What about the war on crime, war on drugs, etc. It's a figure of speech. He didn't convene congress and send an official declaration of war to all terrorists everywhere. Also, from what has been said by the media, Bin Laden was unarmed but he was resisting. What would you have done if you were one of the Seals dropped deep into a potentially hostile city, already lost one of your helicopters, you're inside this fortified compound with god knows how many potential enemies and you've already had to take out a Bin Laden's son/other supporters to get this far and now the man himself is fighting back? Saddam was taken alive because he immediately surrendered upon being found. That was not the case here. Besides, this was supposed to be a discussion about excessive celebration not an argument over America's foreign policy.

I don't think your definition of murder is correct especially after your justification of the killing in your first paragraph. The killing of another person is simply homicide. Murder is unlawful killing. I also don't agree with your comparison to rallies in the Middle East and other regions where they burn American flags and images of US leaders in effigy. Showing patriotism and proudly waving your own flag is not the same as burning another nation's flag in hatred. All that being said, I am not among those who were dancing and chanting.
20. Can't believe it took me this long to notice this. Great read as always. I'm a bit envious of the skillful writing but what else can you expect from students of the Yawoo university.
21. So that's why you stopped fighting back those last few days. Good luck getting RL sorted out and back to normal.
22. 1148 days is my longest. It's a pretty steady circle overall though. Can be tough finding good trade partners especially nowadays.
23.
Wait a minute. TPF is just about the only group that isn't denigrated or insulted in this entire piece. Also the author took the trouble to take a swipe at Peggy Sue...we might have a feathered fiend on our hands.
Oh no, we've been found out!
