1.
Ah, so he is PZI until he pays you?
Yes, he and I are both currently enjoying status on that list. It's quite fun
 2. Sad to see BloodFury go, but more Starfox is never a bad thing o/ Combine
 3.
What are you even talking about? That was obviously a sarcastic post.
I'm well aware
 4. I may be alone in this, but I voted for TOP. It's not that they're so much more on MK's dick than the other alliances listed, but after all the potential they had post-Karma, it's a shame to see them squander it to become just another foot solider. That's even after they got baited into war by MK/Co.
 5.
im sorry thank u for ur mercy!
Tone it down a notch, you're trying too hard.
 6.
Yay we used graphics this time! o/
Holy !@#$ Azure's back
 7. Pork, this isn't addressed to you, but rather your colleague and the person who gave these screens over to you for publication Look buddy, you're doing this because you see an opportunity to find some excitement in the world. You've been doing it for some time, so when Non Grata was more than happy to support you, you aligned with them and are now spying on alliances whose discovery of a spy leads to no extra excitement or drama. You made one really fun effort in the past, but it wasn't like this. This project is a dead end. I would love to support you, but not as long as you're doing this to the wrong alliances. Switch your focus, and you have a chance to make a difference again. Quit just spying on the alliances Non Grata wants you to spy on. And if you're ever on IRC again, come find me so we can chat about this
 8.
Whatever Xiph has been up to in back channels, at the end of the day SuperFriends is a bloc that has outlived its ability to maneuver in the world. Your insistence (along with others) that Xiphosis personally or SF is a threat on the global scale that needs to be dealt with is, truly, laughable; it makes me snort. Like SF itself, Mjolnir, and others before you, you've not just ignored, but allied the true threat and are doing its dirty work. Is Xiphosis a schemer? Always has been. But it's not 2008 or even 2011 anymore. SF is Xiph's vehicle, and it's running on fumes. (My apologies, SF, it's all business.)
Only now do I realize the irony. Xiph made the mistake post-Karma of being too afraid of NPO's return to prominence, and now NPO is doing the same to him.
 9.
Well, There we have it. Not only have MK redefined the game 08-onwards, they have effectively redefined the human capacity to communicate. People used to say "NPO won the game", but god damn if they were just a drop in the pond compared to the current eternal hegemony. Congrats MK, you are not only worse than NPO but you are literally Hitler.
See what I mean, Archon? TIme to do this sad song and dance VN, you're insulted I named Neo Uruk the worst poster on your side instead of you, aren't you? That's cute. I'm sorry I overlooked you, a snubbing of that sort won't happen again.
 10.
Truth be told, I just wanted to waste some time. But this is just depressing. Back in 06-07 we had to actually try and make points. You people are just pathetic. It's nothing but opinion-as-fact or trying desperately to sell !@#$%^&* as reality. Dear god. How I long for Josef Thorne, Philosopher, or even !@#$@#$ Z'ha'dum at this point.
That's a failure of your tenure as top dogs, Archon. When NPO's side sent out posters, they conducted themselves with a sense of self-respect, and long-winded discussions were as meaningful as they were enjoyable. I had a blast being a provocative Vox/FAN poster and arguing everything from CBs to Continuum/Initiative dealings of old. With your lulz brigade, all the opposition gets back from our posts (typically) is a ludicrous one-liner, which when challenged is met with "I guess my sarcasm just went over your head." Have you seen some of the people posting on behalf of DoomHouse (see: Neo Uruk)? I fully agree with you that discussions here have devolved into practically nothing, but I maintain that your way of doing things has been the root cause of it, so I have no idea why you look down your nose at me. Your posting here has been probably the only time I've been seriously engaged by an MK member, and though you've been very petty in your arguments, resorting to lazily crafted insults, I've at least appreciated the change of pace from your alliance's normal MO. Hell, as a CoJ member I encouraged OsRavan to post more because I at least enjoy the sport of discussion. However, at the end of the day all you do is break off, and instead of respectably retiring from the conversation, you can't help yourself from making an empty, unjustifiable condescending remark. I can see where your subjects get their thickness from.
 11.
I just checked, 14k tech from an alliance with 16k tech is significant no matter how much they had before the war.
It didn't have to be paid by tech-laden nations, so 14k tech = 420 million. Not horrible, I suppose, but still much more punitive than I like to see for reparations from an alliance that entered the war defensively (which was the case if I recall).
 12.
I'm not sure what's funnier...that you say MK was granted mercy because NPO didn't give us the FAN treatment, or that you compare us to NPO and then say we can't keep talking about how bad NPO was compared to MK. Who says MK members are the only posters with a sense of irony! Maybe we're just the only ones who see it.
It's pretty simple, rsox, that "We're not as bad" is just an admission of guilt.
And then I'll add a comment about it really wasn't all that much of Moo giving mercy, and leave it at that. You weren't there and you don't know, and while it's hilarious watching you try to pretend you were, it's also a little irritating. Though you did just give me a fond memory of Philosopher (the one who *was* there, if you were wondering), so thanks I guess. Let's see, what's next:
If it wasn't that Moo was being merciful, then what was it? I was not in either alliance at the time, but "you weren't there" isn't an acceptable excuse not to discuss the issue. It's all in the past, so there's no reason not to have an open discussion regarding things that happened years ago.
Just leaving this one here to laugh about. Nothing I feel like publicly saying.
You're not being as sneaky as you think you are by saying this.
I hate to break it to you, but you're pretty much irrelevant and unremarkable as an individual in this game/world, so there was no point in bothering to invest in personalizing the response. You decided to take a shot at the collective set of my allies from 5 years ago, so I took one back. I do enjoy holding up mirrors and seeing what people say when they judgmentally respond. "Pathetic personal jab." I do hope you take note. Really, I do. Oh, and before you take the obvious (albeit flawed) route of saying something to the effect of "But you just personally attacked me again by commenting on my relevance wah hypocrite!" I'd like to note that I'm making an observation-based judgment derived from years of dealing with the politics of this world.
I'm glad you corrected your mistake and made a more personalized jab at me, just don't let it happen again. As to my relevance, I guess I can't do the obvious "You're taking the time to have this discussion aren't you?" since you sort of pre-empted it, but I'll say while I don't ind myself as relevant as you, I'l l say I'm definitely more relevant than any alliance "leaders" who have gone with the ebb and flow of the treaty web over the years, siding one year with NPO then immediately switching to kissing your feet. They're just numbers you amass to call yourself a powerful man, and it didn't really take much intelligence to do, just some dumb luck that some imbecile said "Let's follow the guy who called him self the Whatever of Karma now!"
And this shows that you actually completely missed the implication of the remark, which is actually pretty hilarious. Considering the few queries I got about this post I'm pretty sure it was hard to miss, but uh, hey, it actually helps reinforce the point I was trying to make pretty well.
I didn't get any queries about that post . And I caught that the point of your post was to attack pretty much every alliance I've ever been in, though if I had to guess is all you could name is one or two (NADC, MHA, ACV, Corp, Gondor [now Deinos], NSO, CoJ), so your goal was to insult at least one of them in particular. However, it was really just a childish attempt to get a rise out of me you didn't get. I'm not one of your posters, Archon, so I don't have that big of a soft spot for people insulting me. Other than that, your comment didn't have any significant meaning to me other than indicating how flustered you are, so I moved on. I did laugh, however, that you think running an alliance really takes a high level of skill.
Except that since MK has been 'on top' we've been on the heaviest front of our coalition's side in every war, minus the one a few months ago.
They've all been curb stomps, so I won't eat that tripe.
 13.
I imagine based on your alliance history that your experience with good allies is limited, but generally when you do have a good ally, you know when to not put them in a position they'd have a hard time being put in, and don't desire them having to choose between a rock and a hard place. I am much happier knowing our allies are in a good position than I would be if they decided to throw themselves into this mess we created for ourselves.
Your treaty with GOD older than your DH ones, yes? So they knew about it when they signed with you, knew about it when they attacked GOD's allies. If they were truly your allies, your treaty wouldn't be so conditional as to say "We'll defend you when you're fighting for the right side"
 14.
What came first, the chicken or the egg? What came first, us not wanting our allies to help us defend GOD or them not wanting to help us defend GOD?
Yeah, having your allies help you is always soooo terrible This is more of a: What came first, the "You're fired" or the "You can't fire me cuz I quit!" You're just using one as an excuse so you don't have to face the sad reality of the other
 15.
We aren't letting them play with our ball. It's ours, and we don't share well. So you can stop saying that.
Don't beat around the bush, they wouldn't help you if you asked for it
 16.
...the fact that Moo didn't have **** to do with anything. MK was a GOONS project, through and through, and built with the specific intent to help oppose the Orders (see: Unjust War). There are three people whose "mercy" allowed those on ZI lists to get off of them and eventually helped MK form: banned member, DarkSol, and Helsbecter. That's not to say NPO wasn't willing to get me off the ZI list (in return for my service), but it was Dilber who led that effort, not Moo. I actually remember a screen of Ivan flipping pretty bad that Moo would have let GOONS do this, which leads me to...
After noCB, NPO really could've dispersed you guys quite easily from MK. They didn't, and therefore you survived for a long time by Moo's mercy, but this point of contention is really distracting from the main points.
Any competent alliance with a decent or significant spy resources should be unknown to the vast majority of the population, which would include you. Of course, this assumes you're familiar with how a competent alliance operates, which is unlikely.
1. Everyone knows that networks of spies coming from one alliance are useless these days unless that alliance is in a FAN-like situation 2. That last comment was a pathetic personal jab. It was just a cookie-cutter, in that you could use it on anyone and it'll have the same condescending value. I'm not insulted by your implication that I lack... whatever you implied, but I am shocked you would take the trouble to insult me yet not make the insult something personalized to me. I'm an attackable guy, and I'm, here making arguments about your specific past, yet the best insults you hurl at me are just typical charges of incompetence? And what's so special about how an alliance "operates?" We're not talking Fortune 500 companies here, bub.
A comparison of terms between those given by NPO and those given by MK would contradict the implications of that statement. Trust me though, I'm sure we all miss the days of EZI, disbandments, wonder deletion, and the like. We can work on that though, if you'd like, and see how well people and alliances deal with being properly "dog-whipped." You talk an awful big talk for contributing next to nothing, I wonder if you'd do any better than the "!@#$%*es" you call out. And lastly...
You guys start wars without reason, when you once cried that NPO's wars were "unjustified," and then make your victims pay reparations, then attack them again without too much time for recovery. You can't keep doing these Obama-esque throwbacks damning the previous administration while hardly doing any better. You, just like NPO, somehow convinced idiotic alliance leaders that the way to be leaders in this world is to try to follow you as closely as possible, and if they aren't useful to you anymore or become a threat to you, you have a pack of dogs willing to take them down to try to impress their master. I have no idea, however, how you convince your allies they're making a wise decision. Do you and NPO know some sort of Jedi mind trick?
I'll admit I'm hazy now on Vox's history, but if memory serves most of their membership and founders weren't on PZI lists at the time of founding, only once they actually declared open resistance. The initial point you were trying to contest was that MK was founded by PZI targets and spies. Many of MK's founders had been on PZI lists and had gone to great lengths to get off of them (or had simply rerolled), while for many in Vox Populi their trips to that ever-so-fun list to be on came about as a result of their joining.
I know Doitzel was definitely on the list, and I would venture to guess at least two or three of the other founders were as well (Chickenzilla and Cheyenne, maybe?). It seems likely for most of 'em.
But it's ok, I can understand being upset when "!@#$%*es" went on to rule the world while you wound up as nothing.
You're the second one of your kind in this thread to have made this assumption. You assume my quest in this world is for fame or power. That's the difference between a Voxian and a Shroom. We fought NPO together, but Vox despised their power while you envied it. It's pathetic from my point of view, but I suppose we view the world through different lenses.
i am quite aware of what sarcasm is, i am a proud member of the mushroom kingdom and so have been thoroughly educated in such matters from birth. the truth of the statement that we were founded by zi targets and spies was not relevant for the purposes of my post - i was making reference to the same statement by user banksy which has become somewhat popular, which is relevant given the implication that your fun came from your spying activities and being at war. i have successfully elicited the expected response from you, though, making you look completely devoid of of a sense of humour (and scy too, but there's a surprise! (that last part was also sarcasm )). i suggest you join mk to avail of our academy which now offers lessons in posting courtesy of myself and legendary owf poster banksy.
Just saying something that's relevant to the topic just because Bansky said it at some point isn't sarcasm
When did it become a bad thing to hate the people on top just because they're on top? Isn't that how we were urged to play the game post-Karma by a lot of people?
I'm glad you used the term "on top" because now I get to do a relevant analogy! Thanks for that. Now, let's say CN is a bunch of kids playing king of the hill. If one kid is standing on top, it naturally makes sense that a bigger kid will try to tumble him so that he can have the top spot. Once the biggest kid is on top of the hill, then inevitably two of the smaller ones team up to topple him, then of course battle between the two of them for the supreme position on the hill. In this well-performed instance of game theory, there's always commotion, and the game is continuous. However, with this moronic CN mindset, one kid says to a bunch of other kids "Hey, let's control the hill TOGETHER!" and he sits on top while protected from the remaining kids (a minority in comparison, obviously) by his "allies," whom he only occasionally encourages with a passing "WE're doing great, huh guys? Let's all laugh at those powerless guys at the bottom!" and the dumb kids around him eat that !@#$ up. The problem is, despite the assertions to the contrary by the top kid, they're not any closer to winning the game than the outsiders at the bottom of the hill. For some reason, they forget that the game's idea is to be at the top of the hill, and instead they settle for "well at least no one can push us from this intermediate spot we have on the hill." That's how little girls and !@#$% boys would play king of the hill, and that's how most alliances here do it. It just makes no sense for it.
 17. SCY, I'm joining you in this. I like to say, similarly, "I got a (bag, frocket, etc, depending what I have on me at the time) full of my $%&@s. You're... just not getting any of my $%&@s. I refuse to give them." I played CN that way before, and it's always been the best time I've had here, so I'm down to do it again. Also, when you're in the bar, if you're confident, you're in any girl's "league." Notice nice guys say "girls always end up with !@#$%bags!"? It's because !@#$%bags are cocky sons of !@#$%*es, but you don't have to be a d-bag to be confident; you just have to realize if you get rejected, you didn't lose a goddamn thing except 4-5 minutes of your time. I always thought that was some cliché, and girls were as shallow as we are, but once I stopped giving a $%&@ about rejection and immediately gunning for the hotties at the bar, I was amazed about how much confidence actually mattered. That and clothes choice
 18.
woosh, the sound of facetiousness and sarcasm going well over your heads into the stratosphere once again
I don't think you people even know what sarcasm is. FYI, it's when you say something so utterly ridiculous that it's apparent you mean the opposite. If every time you use "sarcasm," nobody can tell, then it's not "going over our heads," you just have !@#$%* sarcasm. You claimed your alliance was founded by ZI targets and spies. What could be the "real" meaning if that post was sarcastic? Your alliance was founded by... upstanding leaders of the community? No... that's not true either. Quit coming in halfway through a discussion and saying "lol u just dun git mai sarcazms." It's just not true and makes you look half-witted.
 19. Whoops forgot to answer some posts
At no point did I ever make the claim that I'm not included in this group of stubborn nerds. I am quite accepting of this even. As long as I have the time, I'll likely be hanging around here and I make no claim to the contrary.
Sorry I made that inference then, but the reply wasn't necessarily aimed at only you; there have been people in every corner of CN trying to act like they're cool kids among the throng of nerds. FAN, for example, has this mentality because they're not "emo kids," but ignore the fact that being adults in this game in no way makes it more socially acceptable to spend hours on Internet games. So, that post was to a lot of people, not just you.
I'm still cooler than you but its because my CN persona doesn't center around a culture that glorifies/whitewashes one of the great tragedies and unforgivable crimes of America's past.
We'll have this out in the Boiler Room someday
i love how the fact that we've effortlessly kept ic wimps like you under our boot for most of CN's existence makes us some sort of awkward losers in real life socialites
1. "Effortlessly?" Wrong. Kept you under your boot? Wrong again 2. Can you read !@#$@#$ English? You're not a nerd; nerds aren't as skull$%&@ing stupid as to think my post would be saying what you gained from it. I said the exact opposite, practically
 20.
This couldn't possibly be an exaggeration.
Last I remember they got so dog-whipped in GWIII They disbanded like !@#$%*es, then came back as MK and within a year were only allowed to survive by Moo's mercy. I don't recall them having any decent or significant spy resources anywhere, and for an alliance of "ZI targets" NPO sure was merciful to them all the way until antekarmatic times. The only alliance for whom Cotillion's statement would be true would be fore Vox. They were literally an alliance of ZI targets who recruited a bunch of spies.
 21.
we were founded by spies and zi targets, you have no idea how much fun we have, and never will unless you join
That an offer?
 22. Aluminum and Uranium, unchangeable for the time being
