1. If Syz, Steel and JJ were still around they would give you a run for your money. Unfortunately, EB seems to be inactive.
2. Guys can we please calm down for a second? Maybe its just me, but we're not exactly mortal enemies with Sparta. We're both alliances in this because of treaty obligations. We honour our friendship to others, not our hatred for each other.
3. Well holy crap. Now i know how IRON must have felt.
4. Just confimes what i already thought, but was an amusing read nevertheless. I award you four out of five schatts.
5.
NSO has done more than Gramlins has, since I keep forgetting that you bothered to reform. But yes, I agree that if this is the best that people can come up with then that's pretty sad. And RIA are kind of dumb.
Ahh the classic "NO U". You're not even mentioning anything you did. I award no points. You see, the difference between Gre not doing anything and NSO not doing anything is that we dont go around lecturing people about their boringness. I have yet to see a controversial move like this one from NSO. It now sparked Fark declaring randomly on NPO, so it is kinda getting interesting, isnt it? When people react to NSO its mostly a facepalm.
6.
I'm pretty sure resorting to a 2 year old CB, or waiting 2 years to actually act on the damn thing, is a sign itself of stagnation. Declaring war because "$%&@ you for that thing you did way back when" is terrible for politics, because it's so bland and base and boring. Are we supposed to argue about BiPolar again, for the billionth time? Grub was an idiot and Polar screwed everyone and it was a !@#$%* thing to do. Either act on the damn thing or let it go. If you're going to wait this long to get your "revenge" then it would be much more interesting if some actual politics were involved, if some actual diplomatic work had to be done and politicking was in play or something. This is just boring and rote. But the biggest problem isn't that it's just an empty revenge CB, but that apparently our politics are so stagnant that they're still dominated and determined by what happened at the beginning of 2010. You say that the old model leaves no room for movement in politics, but I say that this model leaves no politics of consequence.
Politics werent involved? Are you kidding me? This is a political masterwork. TOP was the most despised and hated alliance after bipolar, now they get to stomp the faces of Polaris in one more time and everyone applauds their move. I agree thats its kinda boring and rote, but it's still the most exciting thing that is happening right now. That says more about everyone else than it does about TOP. NSO for example, always likes to talk like a big guy, yet hasnt done anything worth remembering for said last 2 years. Getting revenge on Polaris was their thing, everybody knew it, and they followed through on it. The current situation is also a proof that it doesnt matter how clear you are on your intent, theres always someone just not getting it. RIA for example. They signed an MDP with Polaris and yet they still seem to be utterly baffled at this war, taking 5 days now to make preparations that should have been done the second the thought of a treaty with polaris appeared.
7. Yah that baffles me as well. It's not like it was a secret. If i had been in RIA gov i would have prepared the alliance for a global conflict before i announced the treaty as to be ready to defend your word the second it is publically known. Nothing had been more obvious since the invention of sliced bread.
8. Exactly Hiro. But that also means they need to suffer the consequences of those actions, even if they dont agree with said actions.
9.
blahblah. Evidence for the above.
It copes with what the TOP members who joined Polaris for the war and left when it happened told us. In the wider aspect, it doesnt change anything, though. They always had the choice to leave Polaris if they felt injustice was done.
10. Syzygy. The guy influenced serveral game updates and was an epic leader politically.
11. Not very creative, but it comes from the bottom of my heart.
12. Hint: Creating pointless threads might get you banned.
13.
Just wanted to say that anybody who knew NPO would lose in Karma before the war either had a crystal ball or is completely full of BS. Most of the alliances that dropped NPO did so knowing they were likely going to be rolled at some point for it.
That NPO would received a pummeling was pretty much set in stone after SF panicked over Gremlins leaving Continuum. Just like the fronts for Bipolar were clear after the TPF drama. Both things actually happened before the war. You lose the political game much earlier than the actual wars.
14. No !@#$, that was incredibly stupid. But after all, it still was an attempt to bury the hatchet with NpO and save all of you from endless arguments between Crymson and Grub. They spat in our faces, now its payback. And i hope that everyone can finally let it rest after that.
15. Schatt seriously, why wouldnt Gremlins want to support this? Polaris has been a deceiving failure again and again. With their betrayal of TOP they killed moralism on planet bob. Well, at least from my point of view, which is of course disputable. Just like yours.
16.
So you're saying that GOD *has* cojones? Cool, so that means GOD will counter people that hit RIA when it supports NpO. Cool story, bro.
Cant wait for GOD to teach us what real cojones look like.
17. Well $%&@ me thats one surprise. Our treaty was so awesome, couldnt you have waited for us to post it? :> Anyway, i always loved you guys and it's really damn sad to see that happening. If you ever need a brother, you know where to find me. Godspeed Ronin, may your memory and heritage never fade out of Planet Bobs collective mind.
18. GOD should surrender to Vlad. They wouldnt even be the first alliance to surrender to a single rogue *peeks at GATO*
19. At least Elorian will get laid finally. e: Yay to this kinda thing, down with everyone else.
20. Happy Härmlin day. It was an awesome bond we shared.
21. Vlad, you are my personal man of the year. I havent laughed so hard in ages. Two guys surrendered? Really, GOD?
22. Anything protected by OMFG must be pretty horrible. I wouldnt trust those guys with holding a stick straight.
23.
GOD's had more impact on a larger number of alliances than The Grämlins ever did. Now I'm definitely not their biggest fan, heh, but to claim an alliance that's fought - and started - as many wars as they have is unimportant politically is like claiming that Polar (who've started fewer wars) is unimportant politically and thus TOP is not interested in them.
I couldnt name one larger, more important war that actually centered around GOD, but the past is actually irrelevant. What counts is the present. They are getting isolated by their own allies and couldnt move a finger without someone using it as an opportunity to punch them in the face. They are deadlocked. How are they ever going to be a threat to TOP? Also, what does Grämlins have to do with this? Thats just the lowest form of a "NO U" reply.
