  1. This is the OWF. The way everyone is spinning, you'd think that Cyber Nations has been occupied by a horde of Dervishes wielding black pots and kettles..
  2. They are the Grievance House. Of course they are going to poke fun at their opponents.
  3. In a match that is as old as Alliances itself, two old hands in the Cyber Nations League continue to pound at each other. GATO and Death are still locked in a scoreless draw. GATO looked good early in the second half, but successive errors on the pitch almost cost them the game, despite their coach employing star players form various sources, including LUE, CPCN, and other clubs. GATO managed to claw its way back however, climbing into a strong position as Karma nearly struck a potentially-killing blow through Death's defences. Later in the Second Half, skilled set-up work by Dave has pushed the ball firmly into Death's corner. Death has been in hold of possession for the last few plays, and has been putting forth some good prodding runs into GATO's half, only to be blocked by the famed 'wall of doves' defensive back line. I think this one is going down to the wire, Jim!
  4. I don't think CC is playing for a win here. They're playing for the next war. It is already clear that this war cannot be won outright by either side, so now is the time to start thinking about what happens next. The Upper Tier is what stands between EQ and victory, but they cannot break into it if they keep gradually leaking nations. Conversely, their opposition is in a position where their ability to break down and help out the mid-tier is weakening. They will do what they can to dish out as much damage as possible until the war is over, hoping to bounce back afterwards. Game over boys, I'm willing to call it at this point, but the outcome of the war is still open, depending on who ends it, and how. The true victor will only emerge around a year from now.
  5. I would not be surprised. But what is this Indonesia of which you speak? I have not seen it on my maps of Digiterra.
  6. While some won't admit it and EQ will attempt to deride it, I think this is the overall sentiment as far as DH & C&G are concerned. Anyone on that side who insults UCoN over this should be given a stern talking-to considering the circumstances involved. And those on EQ that are attempting to spread division forget that nobody cares about the OWF so much these days once the page count clears 5. EQ would hail any alliance that left this war on the other side, would they not?
  7. So; in other words, unless EQ and its members agrees to a longer-term Armistice with CC, nothing is going to change for either party. Have a 8-month NAP written into a WP treaty and you might just be able to end the war. How hard is that? And seriously; expecting DH to bow out for its allies? Either A: They are as "bad" as you purport them to be and they don't care, B: their allies are happy enough to take hits all day until 100k nations start clearing everything EQ has above 80k or C: they do the same by redirecting their force onto the smallest members of the opposing bloc. None of these outcomes will resolve the conflict; only for both sides to decide they want to negotiate.
  8. Our nation has never had problems of racism, or other elements of bizarre human self-discrimination. Once we took over from the primitive local inhabitants, we carapacians have done an admirable job of freeing them from their colour-coded chains. Once we perfect the process, all human [s]vassals[/s]beings will be the same colour for all eternity. Grey. As for Ubuntu, it would be good to spar alongside his Alliance some day. I am sure it would be of notable benefit for both parties; 'Competence Coalition' is probably taking notes as we speak.
  9. Right. Now, an MDP is a Defence Pact is an agreement based on mutual trust and understanding that states the parties involved MUST defend one another in times of war. - If it is temporary, then it is not a MDP, since this indicates that is only applicable when convenient for the attacking Alliance, or Alliance bloc. - If the parties involved can choose when to apply this 'Musketeer Doctrine' (one for all and all for one?), then its strictures are only optional and will only be applied when it is convenient. It is not an MDP. - If it applies to nations without any standing agreements between each other then it lacks any basis on mutual relations and are only based on perceiving each other as being on the 'same side.' It is not an MDP. EQ is right, folks. It is a very simple policy, designed to mitigate the problems it has foreseen in being able to use its bulk to attack a smaller number of top-heavy (hurr, TOP) alliances. It is essentially a Doctrine of allowing any Alliance it sees as part of its side to declare on anyone they see fit. This policy only works when the invoker has a large majority and benefits from a larger Treaty web. That is why the 'Musketeer Doctrine' is in essence a policy of 'War when convenient'. When did I last see people talking about 'War when convenient'? Oh yeah. But this whole issue has nothing to do with that doctrine, as HoT actually pointed out by using a network of legitimate treaties to back their case for Sanction revocation. MK eventually acceded. But if GoD's motivation for s'upping sanctioning MK members is somehow related to that matter, why haven't they been revoked by now? Apologies for beating up on someone with a limited grasp of English. I do feel rather dirty about that, but this has to be said. Boy, I hate having friends on both sides of this war... EDIT: Can anyone confirm use of this Doctrine in an offensive context? if so, that would be a final nail in the '1-4all is a MDP" lead coffin.
  10. A rogue is a nation under an AA that undertakes suspect actions (be they against Alliance rules or not) against external parties. A legitimised rogue is one whose actions are supported by their Alliance retroactively. A 'genuine' rogue is one whose rogue stance is recognised by said nation's Alliance. Either way however, a rogue is a rogue. HoT's actions were supported by RIA after the event. While the nation in question did have a legitimate reason for declaring, it's transparent that it wasn't their primary motivation for declaring on EvU. It's understandable that EvU would complain to MK about this without asking, though they also have partially-ulterior motives for 'punishing' HoT. GoD's actions are unlikely to be responsible for MK's recent apology; I highly doubt GoD has the capacity to scare off MK when it comes to sanctions, as their counter-sanctioning shows.
  11. I cannot fathom the logic of destroying years of work, rather than swallowing one's pride and either fighting their way down to 80k, or surrendering. If an Alliance insists upon its members to undergo such agony, then surely it should rethink its wartime policies.
  12. Okay, children. Let's let the 'supped GODs and the Shrooms pull their sanctions peacefully before anything incredibly stupid happens as a result of people incessantly butting into other peoples' business. You can't go around talking about how you 'don't want to start a sanction war', when you don't make a decent effort to communicate. That goes for both sides. Even if you don't have an Embassy. OWF is a poor man's substitute for direct negotiations and we all know this. HoT knew that if this went to the OWF it would start a shitfest and was evidently successful. I don't have any direct interest in this so by all means; wage a sanction war against each other. But as a friend of mine said, 'you're a daisy if you do'.
  13. Way ahead of you, there. http://grooveshark.com/playlist/RevR+s+War+Soundtrack+Blood+and+Bombs+On+Planet+Bob/82602186 Here; have an entire playlist.
  14. Let's keep this topical, shall we? Shame that Bernkastel isn't quite what it used to be, though still classy enough on occasions like this. It's also a shame the SOS Brigade collapsed like it did. Seems Planet Bob has changed greatly over the past three years; and yet, some things never change. We'll still be seeing Goonhouse and the Orders staring each other down like cowboys in Tombstone for quite some time longer. OOC: Had Azrael stayed in govt. and Int not drifted away, I wonder if SOS would still be around today...
  15. Personally, I'd prefer to see an alliance of five-percenters than three-percenters, but beggars can't be choosers, GL, 3%
  16. I believe this video will be most useful in determining who is truly responsible for this war. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gye0nO_efqI Problem?
  17. Dammit, R&R. How is FC going to get a Viceroy of his own if you keep being reasonable and diplomatic all the time?
  18. I thought Deinos was pretty cool, but shit son. If you love fighting Deinos so much, why don't you marry them? I'm now adding Deinos/NPO to my hypothetical shipping wall. What would their children look like?
  19. All those posting generic comments about 'sanction wars' are kidding themselves. OP is definitely not the kind of nation MK would sanction if it was intent on using sanctions as a tool of war. Not to mention, it would be counter-productive overall for the 'Competence Coalition' to engage in such, given how outnumbered it is in terms of senate votes (like most everything else). Sorry, but your 'alliance of scumbags' is in another castle. Not to say MK hasn't done anything wrong lately, but these aren't the threads you're looking for.
  20. Wow, there are five pages on a topic for a war that was effectively ended almost as soon as it began? PNU has admitted wrongdoing. What I have yet to see is any indication on NpO's part as to what it intends to do to the four nations solely under that AA, or the person that engaged in wrongdoing himself. Are you going to ZI a bunch of newbs? Force them to join the NpO? Exact revenge on the thief and ignore the rest? Install a viceroy to guide those four lost souls? C'mon, guys. Let's focus on the thing that really matters here, rather than all this silly semantics.
  21. inb4 "Did you PNU too stupid to read?" Indeed. Props for recognising a 4-player alliance without any apparent protector. Hopefully, the outcome of this will be brief and painless for everyone, save for the nation responsible.
  22. Don't worry, it's all going to turn out all right. Just lie back and think of [s]ponies[/s]england.
