  1. Attention denizens of the World, On November 30th, a formal Declaration of War was declared upon the Nordreich by the Royal House of Aevrum. In the ensuing tumult of command, the leadership of the Royal House of Aevrum failed to repeal the Declaration of War, furthering its validity. In response, on December 2nd, the Nordreich formally recognized the offensive campaign launched against it. As such, conflict was openly recognized by both Alliances in a public setting. Regardless of the opinions concerning the legitimacy of the casus foederis of the conflict itself, one cannot possibly argue that the conflict was hidden in any way whatsoever from the World. In fact, for one reason or another; it has been at the forefront of international dialogue since it came to be. Which sets up the casus belli for this particular Nordlandic Announcement. So that there may be no confusion for anyone involved; as much detail as possible shall be henceforth, within this document, be declared. It is a widely agreed upon notion that aiding a nation or Alliance that is at war with another nation or Alliance may be justifiably considered an act of war against the latter party. We within the Nordreich concur with this notion, and seek to peacefully subdue logistics operations that aid our enemies. We do this as diplomatically as possible, and never use offensive military operations as a primary means of suppression. However, if all diplomatic attempts are ignored, we will not shy away from utilizing the Nordreich's Wehrmacht to eradicate such logistics operations. This is a proper tenant of warfare, and is done so justifiably under the rationale that those allowing our enemies to stay in the fight are enemies themselves. On December 3rd, at 9:15:49 AM, Kapsyl I of Kapsylonia, a member of AGW Overlords, sent an Aid Package consisting of $9,000,000 and 4,000 soldiers to Steven Simpson of Grammaton; the latter being a member of the Royal House of Aevrum. This was spotted by both the Reich itself, as well as its Allies. The KronPrinz of the Reich, Latexi, promptly sent a message to the leader of AGW Overlords that stated: A message was sent to Kapsyl I himself, as well. Neither individual replied, though the Aid Shipment in question was Cancelled shortly thereafter. However, almost immediately after the Aid Shipment was cancelled, a Secret Aid Shipment appeared on both AGW Overlords' and the Royal House of Aevrum's Aid Screens. The timing of this was simply impossible to ignore, so further research was done. According to this, the nation of Kapsylonia had a sustained military consisting of 30,514 soldiers at the beginning of the day. However, upon inspection of Kapsylonia's military after the Secret Aid was sent, the number of soldiers had declined precisely 4,000 soldiers; down to 26,514. The absolute only two causes for this are either: Kapsyl I decommissioned 4,000 soldiers out of his ranks. He sent a Foreign Aid Package with 4,000 soldiers in it to someone else. The odds of the first option are impossibly low, leaving the second option to be considered fact. No other Foreign Aid Packages were sent by the nation of Kapsylonia, confirming to the Nordreich that Kapsyl I sent aid in secret to the nation of Grammaton immediately after being informed of the latter's involvement in a war against the Reich. As he was informed of the situation, and chose to ignore our diplomatic bulletin, this makes him complicit in funding an enemy of the Reich and its Allies. This constitutes an Act of War against the Nordreich. As such, the Nordreich formally declares war upon AGW Overlords for their complicit funding of an enemy of the Reich and its Allies. If this incident was merely the unsanctioned act of one individual in particular, then the leadership of AGW should have formally done something to rectify the situation. Allowing this to continue is inaction, and inaction is either complicity or ineptness. Either way, it cannot be tolerated or else it will grow into a larger issue. Failure to properly respond to our diplomacy is what led to this. We are still open to talks with AGW, but the Nordreich will never delay action due to the inaction of others. Signed for the Nordreich, Oro Ibah Aozpi, Reichskaiser Latexi, Kronprinz Kristjan Laidoner, Reichsmarschall Keysariyt Hanssen, Reichskanzlerin Johan Pitka, Stabsoffizier
  2. Good afternoon, I'm Schattenmann, your humble fact-checker for this mini-presentation of Os's World, your number one source for news from that land beyond the clouds, that happy land somewhere over the rainbow where the sky is green, the sun is purple, and trees grow down. Today, we visit that wonderful land again, beckoned by the claims of His Backwardness that: To do homage to the man, I say : :::::::chortle:::::: : Opposition is Action Let us first channel that biggest jerkwad of philosophy, the man who gave us pedantry, Socrates, and ask first: what is it to "oppose"? This is a word which implies action, oppose is a verb, it is not a passive state, but affirmative. We understand that to oppose something means to stand in its way. If a man opposes something, he acts to stop it. If a man is opposed to something, he moves to separate himself from it. We can greater understand this concept of opposition by considering its opposite, support. Support, too, is an action. Support enables things. A treaty is support, war is support, diplomatic pressure is support. Opposition is powerful. If rulers and alliances took stock of their ideals, and stood upon them, the world would shudder. Truth is Found in Action Now, let us examine OsRavan's record of opposition to reparations, eternal wars, etc. For it is in a man's action that we find the truth. In his perverted part in a perverted play, he directed the forces of ODN in enforcement of peace terms in the DH-NPO War which included $2.427 Billion in reparations ($1B from Legion alone), and a month long extended war against the top tier of Pacifica. In the Dave War, ODN itself demanded an extended war of top-tier MCXA nations. In the TOP-C&G War, ODN stood shoulder-to-shoulder with its allies and coalition in demands for reps totaling over $1 Billion and tens-of-thousands of tech (most of it blood money to GOONS), and 40,000 tech from Legion. It is most often the case that when we discuss the historical sins of an alliance, we must be careful to remember that their sins have been across multiple administrations, and that distance makes for penance. Not so with ODN and OsRavan. OsRavan himself led the Network in each of these wars and always unfalteringly waved the banner of his bloodthirsty allies. OsRavan Found False Os's World is a weird place, indeed. It is a world where a man finds it perfectly sane to decry every kind of injustice who has himself committed his personal influence, and the military might of his alliance to the extraction of outrageous reps; who has himself accepted reps; who has put the weight of his alliance behind the acts he himself decries over and over again, enthusiastically. Why must we continue to examine OsRavan? OsRavan breathes rarefied air as one of very few men whose person came to define an AA and in many ways an era. His person is political, to discuss the person of OsRavan is to discuss ODN. Where OsRavan lies, the truth must be brought forth. This is no petty personal squabble, but a question of the state of things. As long as twisted manipulators such as OsRavan are allowed to spew their backwards histories, alliances will continue to emulate them. History is the sum of actions of men, OsRavan's opposition could have meant an entirely different world, but despite his repetitive cries that his principles give no regard to politics, we see that he has no principles, and he perpetuated a world without principle. So, my dear reader, on this, the 1,752nd day since OsRavan forced reparations from Cult of Justitia, and the 1,751st day since he began denying it, I'm your host Schattenmann bidding you good day from all of us in Os's World. 3. Before we begin this segment, I'd like to to present a video highlighting the strength of will of the coalition: Recently I was fortunate enough to run into Chimaera at the Museum of the Imperial Assault Alliance in Yerushalayim. The nuclear warfare had taken it's effect on the Capitol, but of course the museum still stood. Chimaera and I both carry the status of Imperator Emeritus, although we shared different reasons to be there: whereas I visited to honor the IAA I had joined six years ago that day, Chimaera was apparently headed to a secret war meeting under the museum. It felt like old times to run into Chimaera, and I quickly proposed an interview. It's a pleasure and an honor sitting next to you yet again Chimaera, even if it is just for this interview. I know firsthand that your services to this coalition are unnumbered, and yet the world may never thank you for your hard work. How different is it to help lead a coalition, rather than just govern an alliance? Well, Tywin, it's a pleasure to speak to you again as well. An alliance, as a general rule, is a group of individuals with one overarching goal. Sure, there are some smaller machinations and plans in place amongst the individuals, but it is NOTHING like trying to help arrange and lead a coalition - the best way to describe coalition warfare is to imagine two large men trying to herd cats in the general vicinity of the other large man, except the cats have grenades strapped to them. There are so many covert (and overt, in modern Bob's case) political desires for each alliance you have to take into consideration - the whole thing is rather exhausting. Could you provide an example of such a stressful situation for our viewers? The most notable example of this, this war, was one alliance begging for a particular target. They were assigned that target, and then the night of decided not to hit said target. Now, they'll tell you it's because they didn't want to oA in, but I don't for a second believe that. You don't sign onto a coalition war thinking you're going to be using nothing but MDPs. Ah, I remember when that happened. It's always disappointing when someone backs out from a commitment. Indeed, there were many disappointments on the path to victory. Halfhearted commitments, coalition withdrawals, and the usual unpredictable chaos of war. Were you ever caught by surprise? Was there any point where you doubted that victory could be achieved? The only thing that surprised me about this war was how unbelievably BLATANT certain alliances were in attempting to backstab people. No-nuke agreements, plans (and leaked screenshots) indicating preparations to go BiPolar on the coalition, refusing to play by gameplans they'd already signed off on - in wars past, leaders kept that sort of skullduggery under wraps. I think its presence in the light during this war speaks to the general decline of leader (and member) quality in this game. As our viewers know, NPO is effectively stalling peace talks. Some have predicted this war now lasting through June, and siege warfare tends to be strenuous on logistics. Should the enemy refuse to yield, do you think the coalition is solid enough to contain the enemy for half a year or longer? At some point, war becomes massively unprofitable for both sides - what we're betting on is that the terms we've offered will be more amenable to the opposition than the continued obliteration of their allies and their lower tiers. I do not think this war will drag on much longer - either Pacifica will come to the table and negotiate (rather than the stonewalling and outright refusal to parlay we've seen thus far) or they will continue to be engulfed in the fires of war. This is not Equilibrium. Our resolve will not break simply because it takes a few weeks longer than planned. On that note, what do you think were the primary military objective(s) of this war? Which enemy alliance has performed the most effectively under the circumstances? Least effectively? The primary military objective, from MI6's standpoint, was to showcase ourselves as a premier military alliance at our tier. We feel like we've done that - we effectively blunted the early Pacifica attack on our Paradoxian allies and have dealt more damage per capita than any alliance on our side (and it really isn't even close). It was a bit of a coming-out party - most alliances' first wars are far from perfect, but I am quite proud of how we've performed overall. As to the coalition's primary objective, well, I'd say it was returning the game to a state of parity. There's 3 or 4 loosely affiliated spheres now, each of which could be the dominant power in CN should the winds of war blow their way. I think that's a vastly more exciting state of politics than a larger dominant force. Despite the taunts of the enemy, NpO and TOP seems to have synergy and really work well together. It seems to me that relations within the coalition will solidify in the wake of this war and cement into something stronger. What do you think? I believe you're implying a bloc status there, Tywin, and to me that just seems folly. Blocs are good for one thing, and one thing only - becoming a target. TOP and Polaris are both better off working together and being solid allies to one another than in planting their roots together. Blocs are too inflexible, too rigid a structure, too unable to change as politics necessitate. The only constant in Bob is that dominant blocs fall. I would rather not be party to my own downfall. Well, I'd love to ask you more questions Chimaera, but unfortunately we're out of time. Thank you for taking the time and joining us today for this interview. My pleasure Tywin. Up next, more on Non Grata's massive membership decline... and later, talking points will discuss the political highlights of the weekend.
  4. Just a prediction of what alliance you believe will strike first in TE? Who will lay out the first declaration of war? Obviously don't be a fool and give away valuable information that might endanger your alliance, PM me that info to me instead. Much fewer people will see it. XD Any rivalry or grudges from last round that might pop back up? I just got back to CN over a month ago and I am relearning TE politics so I have no opinion on this subject.

    An Apology

Hello, I would like to apologize for any confusion in my last blog entry, I was not trying to offend anybody in Competence, I was merely giving reasons why I thought it was logical for Competence to surrender (I.g. Equilibrium had more, nations/nukes/NS) I would also like to apologize to anyone who thought I was trolling. I was in no way trying to provoke an emotional response to my entry, and I hope no one was too offended by it. Thank you for your time.

    Hello

Hello, cyber verse, I would like to announce my recent entry into the cyber-forums. The reason for this is that I would like to use this blog as a method of spreading my and others ideals and thoughts on the current events happening in cybernations. But before I do that I would like to answer a question. The reason my nation's name is Pangea, is because it is a slightly different spelling of the word Pangaea, which in case you didn't know was a supercontinent that existed (please avoid religious argument here) a very long time ago. My nations name is meant to represent my attempts to become as one (in a metaphorical sense of course) with other nations. Well, that sums it up, I hope to post more blog posts later on.
  7. Chances are when you get onto your computer you pull up your favorite music. Chances are you are either involved in or have seen whats going on in Planet Bob as far as the Equilibrium war. See a post that ignites a lyrical explosion? Got a song that fits an alliance to a T? Maybe you've just got a bad ass song you play when dropping nukes. Listen to pants on the ground when you put boots on the ground in a new declaration? Post it here for all to hear!
  8. War has started once more. The propaganda machine has been turned on, slowly gearing up to churn out the drivel and rhetoric that infests the forums around war time. The usual heavy hitters can be seen advocating and debating for their respective side's (actions/stances, take your pick) in this rapidly engulfing conflict. Was NEW in the right? No. Was it ethical for them to do so? Undoubtedly no. Was it moral for them to take vengeance? Vengeance has never been moral. Did NEW exercise their right to take vengeance? Indeed, they did. Were PC/iFOK cowards for not outright defending their ally in NEW? Subjective to each person's independent view, though personally I can understand their position. Is it obvious that they tried their best at ending the conflict peacefully? Undoubtedly so. Did the current power structure surrounding Pandora's Box play a part in this situation? Yes. I do admit that it is a bit surprising to see the past motto of 'Friends > Infra' being used by the side labeled by most as Ex-heg/Polaris against SG/PB. Then again, politics is always in motion and the power that used to rest at Q's hand is now in the hands of SG/PB, there is no doubt about that. Will this war be a curbstomp? That still has to be seen depending on how the counter DoW's are done. Either way, war is war even when it might be vastly overwhelming on one side. All we're here is to play a war game behind a thin veil of a political simulator, not to stagnate the war game by overusing the "realpolitik" of the political simulator. PS: Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays, everybody.
  9. Today stands as a singular moment in my CN growth. It is upon the occasion of my acceptance as a full member into The Order of Light that I wish to make a few remarks. I have seen long-standing members of this Alliance remove themselves from it's ranks over the past few days. Some have done so during hostilities, without the convenience of being PoW's. Some have done so because of their strong allegiance to other confederations. Some have done so because of personal disputes, or philosophical disputes with others in this Alliance. I feel relatively confident that TOOL is not the only Alliance to see this. I am 54 days into my CN life. I am 54 days into my TOOL life, as well. For those of you who have multiple years as CN players, you may well think I have nothing of value to offer. I beg to differ. Some say the community has changed. It has. CN stands in a state of diminishing players. In my view, CN is not marketing itself as the growing and dynamic game it is today. Balance and "leveling" have done the game a great justice, as the innovations have consistently continued. The IT team has done a remarkable job not only bringing new innovations to the playing field, but also of listening to it's members. CN has given it's membership more of what they want than just saying "No!". They understand that the members make the game. At least, members make the game last. Some say the community has changed. It has. From multi-nation wars to multi-Alliance wars, CN has developed over these past years into a form not recognizable from its beginnings. To the largest degree, I submit it is because of the players that this is true. Being a single nation in CN is now considered a bad thing. I'm not so sure I agree with that. But, it cannot be argued that the dynamics of Alliance life has certainly brought many new dimensions or fun AND reality to the game. Some of those who were original nations of CN have been off, in the RL, gaining education and life experiences. This is a good thing. However, one of the truly awesome aspects of CN as a game is that it is very easily multi-generational. Adult players bring much to the game. Youth brings its own legendary part to play, as well. Some of us are of such tooth-length that we bring a lifetime of experience to the new game. Some of us are retired military commanders, for instance. We have something to offer this game from a real world perspective that those not yet of voting age cannot possibly hope to bring. Many of our players are, as we look at this page, on a real life fighting front, defending their nation's hopes and glories with resources up to and including their own blood. They should not be ignored. Youngsters are playing this game at an amazing rate. The reasons are many. Friends bring them to the game. They have a direct interest in the political, economic and other proportions of the game. Some feel that playing CN is the only real way of making sense out of a world that, to them, just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Within Alliances, the community has changed. Of course it has. Some go, some grow, and some stay, even as some of us begin our Alliance life. Continuity is a mark of extreme success within an online gaming community, especially one that requires no fee. If you make donations to the cause: Thank you. If more member nations did, I believe we would see more in the way of requested features being put into an already full pipeline. As many have mentioned, $25.00/month is not so much to pay for all you get in play. These folks work tirelessly to bring the very best game it is possible for them to create, every day. Having been a programmer for more years than many would believe possible, I am well aware of the requirements. The entire Alliance concept is (for the most part) player driven. No single player can create, maintain, and grow an Alliance. In my Alliance (TOOL), there are well over 200 member nations. As a professional musician and conductor, I can tell you (without knowing our Alliance Lord Commander at all) much of what his daily life must entail, as he attempts to herd cats of such a bulky clutch. In the end, we must each and all finally agree that, of all the possible ways of doing a particular thing, his is the one that is best. Authority and responsibility may be delegated, but it is to the leader alone for the final accountability of the success or failure of the Alliance. This leader has done so with honor, respect, and vision; not because I say so, but because of what so many others say, or have said of his leadership. His choice, of the many available to him, has been consistently (from all I have read or learned) to strengthen his community. When it was neither the easiest or most agreed-upon strategy, it was his determination alone which won out. This is, more than anything else, a proof of his leadership quality. In the intervening months between wars, TOOL has consistently out-performed other Alliances in qualities that few see. Recruitment, for example. Instruction of applicants has been of the very first order. Members who don't know me from Adam have welcomed me, followed me, helped me, aided me, counselled me, and generally befriended me in ways that simply amaze me. Not merely in quantity, but in quality. As just one example, I asked for specific help one time, and had twelve members of this Alliance offer their personal assistance within one hour. They didn't know anything about me, other than I was an applicant to their Alliance. When I was too ignorant to even know the questions to ask, I got counselling from members both old and new. I can tell you how many applicants are in my class (27), what their nations' names are, and how they have fared in the latest hostilities. We have been encouraged, and assisted, in our communications together. I have brought a few new member nations into the game since my signing up now 54 days ago. Every one of those members got no "Alliance Baiting" from me, yet all of them have become part of my Applicants class--of their own accord. They, too got the humpti-gazillion recruitment blizzard notices, a shock to all of us. Yet, from the many, they chose the one. It happened to be the same one I did. I know why I made the choice I made. You would have to ask them why they made the choice for themselves. I can tell you this, however. They feel part of a significant and dedicated community that is willing to do whatever it requires for them to succeed as member nations in the game, and to be strong and believing community members within this Alliance. I am personally horrified and ashamed of my terrible beginnings in this war. I let my Alliance down because of my ignorance. Yet, my Alliance only thanks me for my willingness to participate. Does this send a message to me? Yes. Does that message matter to me? Yes. As Tiberius said of Spartacus: "I may well end this war as a dead Spartan, but I will forever be a Spartan!" I may well be the worst TOOLie on Planet Bob (and I don't think anyone would disagree with me!), but I will forever be a TOOL on Planet Bob. There is no condition in my mind where I would EVER be anything else. Why? Because the community of TOOL is, in both victory and defeat, honorable. It is, as an Alliance, loyal. It requires nothing, makes available everything (and more) an Applicant could ever hope to want or need to succeed within CN, and within the Alliance. I cannot express my deepest thanks and grateful heart as a new member nation to each and every member of TOOL for creating THE Alliance that it is at this moment. When, in RL, I find hope a difficult thing to discover, it is so nice to find it here. I've been around a bit, and this ain't my first rodeo. It is so good to see the overpowering determination of some 200 individuals to do good, and BE good as to make me pause. Most of all, it gives me hope that I can master this game, and the rigorous requirements of that Alliance that made it possible. When in war, your enemies count their merit in the number of battles they have had, and lost to this Alliance, it says something significant about that Alliance. When, in war, other Alliances go far out of their way to even consider entering hostilities with your Alliance because of what the Alliance stands for, war says something about your Alliance. When, in war, the idea of taking your Alliance's flag is considered not only impossible, but the worst of all possible acts, heinous to the znth degree--universally, that says something for that Alliance. When the newest Applicant to that Alliance is given a target into a war, and is immediately targeted by no less than eight nations of the opposite Alliance, that says something about your Alliance. That every one of the nations targeting you is significantly lower in any definable degree than you really says something about you as a member of said Alliance. When your targeted enemies start counselling you on how to actually conduct your battles against them, because of the Alliance you have applied to, that says something about the respect your enemy has towards you AND your Alliance. When the purpose of your Alliance entering the war is to honor a Treaty, that says a lot about your Alliance. When your being IN the war positively affects your Treaty Alliance (even if only deflection defense), that says TONS about your Alliance. When your Alliance comes into war knowing defeat is the only possible outcome for your Alliance, yet the honor of your Alliance to its Treaty partners requires it, that says much about your Alliance. When your Alliance starts dusting those targeting it, in defense of your Alliance partner, that says a lot about your Alliance. When, in order to save your Alliance, you surrender to fantastically outrageous terms, so that your Treaty partners won't have to, I think that says something about your Alliance. When you formally accept those terms, and get more than 300 posts congratulating you for your performance in War, while only six (6) comments have anything negative to say about your prosecution of that War, I think that says tons about your Alliance. When the negative comments say only that they think you having to pay reps at all is a bad thing, doesn't THAT say something about your Alliance? They say that nothing spoils a good war like an outbreak of Peace. What will my Alliance show in Peace? What will I be able to contribute to the Alliance that I have come to know in these past 54 days? How will the Alliance, and the community that supports it, change in the future? I honestly cannot tell you. Based upon what I have experienced first hand, only as a reader of those who would know much better than I, I believe I can know of what I should expect, however. You cannot create, maintain and grow an Alliance that lasts more than three years as one of the most (if not THE most) respected Alliances on CN by mere whimsy, luck, or happenstance. The community that has been built in this Alliance has been built with sweat equity from it's leadership team and it's member nations. Tears have created a bond that no amount of talk could ever form. Honor, equity, and a willing heart towards it's members is what I expect to see in Peace. Our reparations will be paid, on time. We will rebuild, and yes, we will re-arm. We will grow member nations that conscribe to the core principles of TOOL. If you do not, by this point, fully know and understand what those core concepts are, then you are either illiterate, or dead. In conclusion, it is my belief that war does not create community, war proves community. Nor does Peace, for that matter. Peace continues community. Alliances do not last if they are not first honorable to the task. Alliances must treat their member nations, and their fellow Alliances with the respect they would wish to have visited upon them. Those who do not will perish. But, those who do? Well, those Alliances last forever. They build strong and lasting community. I would rather be the lowest, worst, most ill-respected member of TOOL than the hero of any other Alliance on Planet Bob. I'm going to work very, very hard to be worthy as a total TOOL. Not because my Alliance requires it. Because my Alliance permits it, encourages it, supports and endorses it. They expect it of me, and are willing to show me the way to achieve that goal. I wouldn't want it any other way. Live Forever In The Light of TOOL! M (Post edited by Merlinus for spelling.)

    A quick note

Hi. Taking small amounts of reparations when you're on the defensive side of a war, or even the offensive side of a war, isn't that bad. Attacking alliances over flimsy CBs (really just to take them out as potential enemies), beating them to a pulp with 5v1 odds or worse, scaring them into not using nukes, taking minimal damages and then making them pay for the pleasure of it all - that's bad. There's a difference, and calling token reps a Hegemonic action is ridiculous. That is all.
  11. DATELINE: Salerno February 6th, 2010 HRH Merlinus I has released a short statement this morning: WAR MEMO 01-001 "Citizens of Merlinus: When in the course of human events, it befalls our nation to take arms, it must be for only one of three reasons. We must either be attacked in an unprovoked aggression by a power outside our borders; we must be attacked by an enemy of the State, or finally we must be asked to engage a mutual enemy of this nation's Alliance: The Order of Light (TOOL). This last reason has come to our shores today. I have just received an urgent communication from the TOOL Lord Captain Commander. He requests our urgent attention to an enemy that has proven to be a bit more than originally bargained for by the Combined Alliance Supreme Council. Only moments ago, I have received the first battle communique from our beloved General Octavius Flavius, who rose from his well-earned retirement to lead our forces into the first-ever battle conflict in this nation's history. He reports that our valiant forces, in a mutual attack with other alliance forces, had an overwhelming victory against the enemy. Ours was a surprise attack, following a combined lead attack by our allies earlier in the evening. We have suffered casualties in both our land and air forces this morning. Reserves are enroute to the front as we speak. We have seen our first battle outcome to be a complete victory, but it has come at an extreme cost. Over 1,000 of our sons and daughters have given the ultimate sacrifice for their King, their homeland, and the Alliance. But, even as their blood flowed, they watched their enemy die before them. To the mothers and fathers of the fallen heroes, whose names shall forever live in our memories, you may be extremely proud that your loss is shared by your Sovereign, upon whose orders they went eagerly into the fray. While we are not at liberty to give specific details at this time, we wanted to let you know that the increased military activity around several of our largest cities is for a reason. Marshalling yards have been established. Troops are being deployed around the clock. We must now attend to matters of homeland defense. For so many years, we have trained together for this moment. Do not doubt that the enemy will retaliate against our peaceful nation. Be prepared. Gather your emergency supplies. Help our homeland's defenders prepare for the attack which will most surely come. Do all you can to help those fellow countrymen who have answered the call to arms, both at home and abroad. It is for this reason that we must declare a period of Marshal Law throughout the land, until further notice. We are assured you both understand the need for such drastic measures, and will joyfully comply in the name of loyal unity. Joyously perform your duties by day and night, and preserve our homeland. We will be broadcasting over the Merlinus National News Network as the situation warrants. Any inquiries should be directed only to the official government sources. Our land is, until further notice, in a state of War. May the joys of Merlinus soon be restored to us all." More news as it develops. M
