1. All hail Tetris, the best protectors/merge-buddies ever? Yup.

Turnover

It deserves a more in-depth analysis, but I'll just mention the possibility of a correlation between static government lineups in major alliances and the existence of many mid to small alliances.
3. Non Grata, now also known as Stickmen: The Alliance. Sad to see your entertaining presence pass, SLCB; enjoy NG!
4. From what I understood about the whole cancellation of the OoO business, I never could determine Pacifica's motive at the time. Once the noCB war started, it became clear, though, that NPO decided to run the whole internal smear campaign (Doitzel's big info dump) in order to ready their public for the inevitable situation in which Polar would be getting rolled, and making sure that the Pacifican community would be safely distanced from them by that point. I think the fact that Moo ran an internal propaganda campaign and the fact that he attempted to prevent noCB are two compatible situations. The first was a safety measure knowing the second would only be viable temporarily.
5. The May 21st update had a net member change of -46 for all the alliances in the Sanction Race. I don't remember seeing that many nations leave/delete/whatever in a single day in a long time.
6. It was a long time coming, but it's great to be here. We'll be on our way up from here, undoubtedly. o/ Misfits o/ Our allies who support us immensely (VE ) o/ Those alliances generous enough to donate us their ex-members o/ Our new recruits who have been in Misfits from their first day, and have grown into high government positions o/ Mask and Fro, the two most dedicated founders o/ TheCorinthian, FiremanDave, and myself, the most retired founders
7. Oh hi Tetris. Congrats on the new gov and finally getting rid of that insufferable Logan fellow. Under the leadership of Pollard, who knows what may happen. Let there be shens!
8. I was under the assumption that Misfits had exclusive rights to FAP with IRON. Very disappointing to see; IRON betrays us to FAP with someone else. (Congrats to our allies in IRON and the good people over at RIA)
9. Best of luck to all the former members of Celestial Being. It was good to fight alongside you this past war, and with any luck I'll continue to see you around in the future.
10. Mr. Tusks approves, Tiny Towne rejoices. Professor Science nods his long neck slowly, and racoons and squid move in next door. Best alliance ever? Perhaps.
11. It was a fun one, thanks for the fight NpO. Some of you were quite skilled, a couple unfortunately weren't, but on a whole it was a very entertaining war. Here's to peace, to our allies in VE, and to the rest of those we fought alongside!
12. Congratulations to all involved, especially my protectors in VE. Enjoy peace, enjoy the rebuild!
13. Oh, the superfluous semicolons! Congratulations on the peace, everyone!
14. Happy second, Goldie, enjoy the third!
15.
Ignore me if I'm silly
Done :V
16. Hopefully JWZepf performs well in his new SoD position given the current war. I know he'll be capable of the hours of legwork necessary in peace time, haha. Congrats to all elected and appointed officials, cheers ODN.
17.
Are you trying to be funny...because you are failing. Just stop arguing about the stupid CB. You know our side and we know your side. Stop bringing it up because the majority don't want to argue over it for another time.
Eh, mostly just trolling for the sake of trolling. I'm not a big OWF guy, so a lot of what I do here as far as political discourse goes is for my own entertainment. You could also say that you know our stance and reasons for reps, and we know your reasons for disliking them. From that, I would infer (and my own feelings would confirm) that it's not worth arguing over. If anyone wants a full and honest discussion of our rationale, they'd contact a government member on IRC or sign up for an embassy on our forums. Posting here is mostly for laughs, as far as I can tell.
I will be paying these reps if Misfits, KoH and me can come to some sort of agreement about how to pay it (directly, indirect) and if Misfits allows me to pay it for KoH etc. etc. Negotiation is a bit hard because we're in different time zones Still, yes, I will put my money where my mouth is, but that has noting to do with this situation. I'm trying to make a great misdoing right again.
We've been pretty busy drafting up lists of reparations targets and dealing with Polar's recent rush at us (and of course events beyond the scope of Planet Bob), but hopefully myself or another Misfits government member will have some time to get back to you soon (hopefully tomorrow).
18. This is awesome, thanks for sticking with it and keeping it updated. Any chance of a second chart that doesn't include alliances that are no longer involved? If it's more than minimal work, don't worry about it, but when looking through ongoing conflicts it'd be a bit easier to trace, haha.
19.
The only two reasons you can think of to fight a war are for honor or reparations? What in Admin's name are they teaching you over in Polaris?
Might explain why they don't see spying as a valid CB, haha.
20. And so passes the reign of the man-girl. May (s)he enjoy retirement?
21.
Ah, I hadn't noticed that, thanks for the clarification. Why not just set the payment period as X months from the end of the war?
Several reasons I suppose. On one hand, this protects Hyrule against situations in which our war with Polar ends sooner than expected, while terms X months from the end might have them on a more aggressive schedule than planned for. If we do have to renegotiate and extend the schedule, it will only benefit Hyrule, giving them more time. On another hand, negotiating peace terms on the first of a month just presented too tidy a schedule to pass up, haha. Other minor reasons too, but I'm not sure they're terribly interesting.
22.
I just think it's silly for you to set up a time line such that the reps have to be paid before your alliance is actually at peace. The terms amount to war aid not rebuilding aid, and Misfits accepting them and building infrastructure shouldn't be surprised if they become a more prominent target than other nations who have been wiped out completely and hold almost no infra at hard to reach NS ranges with no sign of assistance.
Allowing Hyrule to send us reparations before we are at peace with Polar would violate the non-involvement clause of the agreement. We will not be soliciting or accepting reparations while at war with Polar. Should the war continue to a point where it interferes with the schedule laid out in the agreement, it will be re-negotiated by both parties, as has been said before.
23.
They have two nations. To pay the needed 45 mil by April 1 they will need to send it out out before. Assuming their nations come out of peace today, they can get in one and a half cycles of aid to their members. The rest will be heading to you. That's half a month of them being allowed to rebuild. Not an entire month as you seem to think.
Yeah, my mistake, this was just clarified with KoH and us. We agreed to the first deadline being May 1st, I mistyped April 1st in the OP. This has been edited to reflect what was agreed upon in negotiations.
24.
75 million although pretty low, isn't necessary here. I protectorate came to the defense of NpO, much as Misfits did to VE? What exactly did KoH do except join the losing side of the war? Furthermore, considering that Misfits is still at war with the NpO, are you expecting them to have to aid an alliance at war with their protector (75 mil is due by April 1). Also, KoH really has only two nations in shape to pay these reps. Granted it is possible, but they won't be allowed to rebuild for months (all the more important for them because of the amount of newbies who make up the alliance, and are now less likely to stick around). I know you'll tell me to cry you a river, but at some point reps do just become obscene and unnecessary.
The reps were designed to give KoH a month of rebuilding without having to clog up their slots. If the war with Polar continues to a point where it interferes with reparation payment, the schedule will be renegotiated. We wouldn't want the uninvolvement term to interfere with the reparations term. We're reasonable people, KoH is reasonable, it'll get done in a reasonable manner.
25.
It's not that, this is VE's way of saying "hey guys know what would be fun? Let's put in reps in our peace terms with whoever just to see the crying from the masses as they can't do anything about it!" Yes how different from Pacifica, isn't it? Somewhere in their sick attempt to tick everyone off, they're dragging alliances who are small and weak into awful terms for their own sick amusement in a war they contrived to destroy an alliance they dislike. And now they bring in an innocent alliance to do this as a social experiment. Don't think you can stoop any lower, GOONS-lite.
VE did not design or have a bearing either way in the reparations that were asked for.
